The SpaceThe house is located in the heart of Lanai City situated between the library and Cavendish golf course. Three and a half blocks from the town square. You are not near a beach in Lanai City. It is in the center of the island. The Lanai Guest house is one of the original homes built in the early 20th century for the pineapple industry. Guest AccessAs a guest you will have access to the entire property. Outside seating, garden (discuss with me before hand on what is available to harvest, please keep children out of the box garden), driveway parking, street parking available as well. Interaction with GuestsYou check yourself in on arrival. I, or the gardener (if I am off island) will be visiting daily (if no rain) to water and check on the garden. We will try to set up a time that works best for you. You will be checked out by myself or the manager if I am out of town. We can discuss a checkout time that is good for you. The NeighborhoodLike taking a step back in time. All 1920's plantation style homes. Getting AroundThere is a shuttle 10$ anywhere you want to go. You should definitely rent a car if you plan to go anywhere but the town. Research the island before you arrive (I can not reiterate this enough). Other Things to NoteThe price includes the 4% required GET and the 9.25% transient accommodation tax. We have a small collection of books at the house. Feel free to enjoy during your stay, but please don't take them with you. Feel free to add to the collection if you have a book you don't want anymore. Recycling is located under the microwave. You can empty in the bigger recycling box located near the front porch. Only HI-5 deposit bottles, cans, and plastic are accepted at the Recycling center on Lana'i. Please discuss with me if you plan to use the fire pit, so I can go over some rules. If you break something, I expect it to be replaced or compensated for. It's a quiet neighborhood, things shut down in town around 8, really really quiet time is at 10. If sleeping on the couch, please use sheets provided. Research the island before you come. Please note where the toilet is located on the floor plan provided. This is typical plantation style. Not the way we would of done it today, but back then, this was standard. I suggest leaving the back bathroom door unlocked at night and people in the guest bedroom can access from the back. Or walk through the master bedroom, depending on your comfort level. It hasn't been a problem in the past. Just something to be aware of.

The Jasmine House is a Hawaiian plantation style home built in 2000 by Castle and Cooke Ltd and upgraded in 2010 by a craftsman designer. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood on a beautifully landscaped corner parcel. It is a few block walk to the historic town center and Dole Park where you can shop for local art, souvenirs, dine, or pick up groceries and a movie. Red mahogany floors were recently installed and run throughout the entire home. Both baths have been upgraded with tile flooring, granite counter tops, one has a tub the other an attractive glass block wall shower. Most importantly there are a complete set of fresh linens and towels provided along with a washer and dryer. The kitchen is outfitted with granite counter tops and is well equipped with an oven-range, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, and complete set of pots pans, and dishes.

Our Pink house is comfortably furnished and hosts some fabulous sunsets for enjoying a beverage at the end of a day.  There are three bedrooms, two comfortable queen beds and a set of soft twins beds. There are two full baths and an outdoor shower for an after beach rinse. Don't bring too many things, you can launder your clothes at the Pink House! You will feel like you have stepped back in time to Old Hawaii. You can hike the guava forests, swim at Manele Bay, play tennis, golf, badminton or attend free fabulous water aerobics at the heated local pool, then come home to the Pink house and make yourself a fresh squeezed tangerine margarita.  All shops are a short walk from the Pink House.  You can walk to the newly renovated local movie theatre and be amazed at the comfortable surrounds.  Banana, avocado and fruit trees surround the Pink House in this lovely neighborhood.  A hammock is available for napping under the palms in the light trade wind breezes. Car rentals are available through the property manager as are chartered fishing expeditions. You can dine at the Pink House’s fully equipped kitchen or walk to the Blue Ginger, Cafe 565, Lana’i Hotel or Canoe’s. With warmest aloha, we hope you love your stay, “in the Pink”! Very comfortable master suite with ensuite separate entrance with a nice big porch. There are mountain views from the room and porch. The back yard is completely fenced. There are many banana trees and other tropical foliage. Very private and separate living quarters on the back of the rest of the home. Close to town. A 5 to 7 minute walk to stores library swimming pool etc. Located in a family friendly neighborhood.
