Ground floor of this two storey house is our private area where we live with Max, our small dog who is very well behaved and rarely barks. Max doesn't shed hair and isn't allowed upstairs so area is suitable for anyone with dog allergies.
Your own iron and ironing board are provided. Washing /Drying $5 per 7kg load when we're home. Free washing for guests staying 3 nights or more. Guest AccessOur home is situated on a quiet, tree lined street just a 10 min stroll from the beach and bay. The front entrance gives immediate access to the stairs leading up to your 3 rooms. Feel free to come and go at various times of the day/night as the guest accommodation is similar to being in an upstairs apartment. The top floor is yours - we live downstairs. You have access through our study (occasionally used) to a sunny, little balcony overlooking the neighbourhood. A curtain for extra privacy is provided.

You will find us friendly, available to assist with your travel plans and happy to chat, yet discreetly absent so you can enjoy your time together. The NeighborhoodThe house is situated in a quiet, tree lined avenue just 1 street from the sandy Seaford Beach, and a corner shop which sells most necessary items. 3 mins drive and you're in Frankston CBD, which has the large Bayside Shopping Centre, Pubs, cafes, Frankston Pier and Boardwalk. There are many restaurants and cafes in Frankston. Most close their kitchens at 8.30 pm. The nearby Woolworths supermarket is also just 3 mins drive away and is open 'til midnight.
Seaford seaside village, 5 mins drive away, is part of the gorgeous Mornington Peninsula which is only 45 mins from Melbourne CBD. Across to the East are many stunning wineries, galleries and cafes in the beautiful Yarra Valley, also only 45 minutes away.
Phillip Island with its spectacular beaches & Race Track is 1hr 30 mins drive away. Or ride the ferry from Stoney Pt to the delightful seaside shopping avenue at Cowes.
1hr drive to Sorrento, catch the Ferry across to lovely Queenscliff for lunch. Or continue on and drive the Great Ocean Rd!
Mornington Peninsula is a mecca for golfers with courses ranging from traditional to classic links style layouts. There are 13 golf courses to choose from! plus Frankston Golf Club is just 11 mins drive from home.
If you're into exercise, the huge, new PARC (Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre) in Frankston offers pool, gym, sauna, spa and group exercise - casual members welcome. Getting Around• Regular public transport by train or bus to Melbourne CBD or down to Mornington Peninsula (Kananook is the 2nd last stop before the main line from Melbourne terminates at Frankston).
• Frankston Train line to Melbourne CBD - 20 mins walk or 2 mins drive to Kananook station.
• 2 mins to the Kananook Creek Reserve path where you can walk to Seaford Village along the Neapean Highway, (40 mins) or Frankston cafes and Bayside shopping centre (20 mins).
• Airport shuttle bus which leaves and arrives at Frankston (1hr drive from airport - about $35).
• 2 mins to the Nepean Highway which runs from Melbourne CBD to Mornington Peninsula.
• Easy access to M3 Eastlink and M11. Other Things to NoteSeaford is an excellent place to stay if you're wanting to experience Mornington Pennisula, Melbourne CBD, Phillip Island, and the Yarra Valley as it's central to all these places. At the end of a day's sight-seeing there's still plenty to do nearby eg go to the movies, eat at one of the many restaurants, walk along Frankston's foreshore & pier, or just spend time together reading or watching TV / DVD in your own lounging area.
