The SpaceThe house is modern with the main living area, main bedroom with en-suite and kitchen being located upstairs. The upstairs space is for the sole use of the host. The downstairs area is for the use of guests and has a queen bedroom, a private bathroom, a large comfortable lounge/diner with large screen colour TV and DVD player and an outside sheltered bistro area. There is also a laundry room with a Miele washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. The laundry room doubles as a kitchenette (see photo) and has a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, induction hotplate, pans, crockery and cutlery for use by guests. Guest AccessGuests have their own front door key and can come and go as they please. There is plenty of safe on-street parking in front of the house. Guests are welcome to park on the driveway overnight. Interaction with GuestsI will be living upstairs during your stay and am available for help and advice at any time. The NeighborhoodThe house is located opposite a small park where there are tennis courts and a bowling green. It is only a short walk to both Davey's Bay (900m) and to Sweetwater Creek Nature Reserve (700m). There are local shops in Norman Avenue which is about a 5 minute walk away. The shops include a fish & chip shop, a café, a pizza place, a bakers, a general store and a newsagents. There are also many shops (including 2 supermarkets), restaurants and cafes in Mount Eliza village which is about 3kms distant. Getting AroundThe House is about 400m to the main bus route on the Nepean Highway and about 3kms to the train station in Frankston where there is a regular service to Melbourne City. Other Things to NoteI have recently changed my pricing structure to be fairer to guests travelling alone: my house seems to be very popular with singles! The price now listed is for a single person and there is a $20 supplement for a couple. This represents very good value for money for both couples and singles. We love interacting with our guests, hearing their stories and talking travel. Often we don't get much of a chance to do so, due to there being so many things to do and see nearby...... which is why we prefer our guests to stay for two nights or more if possible. Not really suitable for romantic getaways but more so for travelers wanting a base to explore surrounding areas. The NeighborhoodWe love that we are on 3/4 acre of privacy close to beautiful Mt Eliza village and Frankston city centre. It's only 45mins to Melbourne and beaches are 5 minutes drive down the road. We are at the doorstep to the Mornington Peninsula. Getting Around5 minute drive to Mt Eliza, 10 minute drive to Frankston, 50 minutes to Melbourne, Portsea and Phillip Island. Handy to beach, wineries, restaurants and Peninsula Hotsprings. There is a bus stop (772) on our doorstep. Buses go into Frankston near train station every hour. Other Things to NoteNot suitable for babies/toddlers or romantic getaways.

We live an hour south of Melbourne at the gateway to the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. We have a lovely home set high with views of city lights and a wraparound deck catching the breeze. Take your breakfast outside while listening to magpies and kookaburras or take a stroll along the nearby beaches. We are situated near two large shopping malls, a university, trains and buses and many lovely tourist destinations, such as galleries, wineries and weekend markets.

The SpaceThis is a separate, downstairs living zone within a family home. The space will suit singles as well as couples. It is not suitable for children. Guest AccessOur guests have a separate entrance to their own private facilities - bedroom with queen bed, bathroom, lounge and a private native garden. There is also a small fridge, a washing machine, tea and coffee making facilities. Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to interact with our guests and give any assistance to make the stay as comfortable as possible. We live in the upstairs part of the house and will respect your privacy. The NeighborhoodFrankston South is on the edge of Mt Eliza and close to all that the Mornington Peninsula has to offer - beaches, wineries, bushwalking, bike riding, etc. Our home is in the Sweetwater Creek area, with plenty of native bush, birdlife and walk tracks. Our local shops (about a 10 minute walk) have a good cafe, licensed grocer, bakery and a newsagent. Mt Eliza (5 minutes drive) has a lovely village atmosphere with good restaurants and major supermarkets. Cranbourne Botanical Gardens are 15-20 minutes away by car and well worth a visit. Getting AroundWe are a 5 minute drive from Frankston station and there is also a bus service nearby. However, it is easier to see the sights by car and there are no problems with parking. The area is also serviced by Uber. Other Things to NoteWe also provide a few breakfast provisions - fruit, yogurt and cereal - to get your day started.

The house has 3 queen bedrooms and a large oversized bunk which could sleep 3 children. Kids LOVE this bunk. Also provided is a porta cot, stroller, high chair and a few toys and books. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality cookware and appliances including coffee grinder and coffee machine, essential pantry items (well stocked) and outdoor BBQ facilities to delight any passionate cook. An acclaimed local chef will cook for your group in the home, past guests who have taken up this option said it was a fabulous touch. All linen is supplied and is clean, crisp and good quality. The bathrooms are dreamy and the furniture offers the utmost in comfort. All the bedrooms are beautiful, but you will fight over the back room which allows you to listen to the sea and the birds with the french doors open on a warm night. The private outdoor entertaining area is undercover, the table extends to seat 10 and works well day and night. There are 2 TV/lounge zones equipped with Foxtel, DVD player and some DVDs, 5G of free WiFi, (please don't download movies) and blue tooth sound system. The driveway will take 3 cars or 2 cars and a boat. Launch ramp is about 1km away.
