Guest AccessThere is a communal parking bay outside of the flat, enough for 3 cars which is shared with the other tenants in the building. So if there are available parking spaces during your stay feel free to use the free parking. Interaction with GuestsContact phone numbers are provided to anyone renting the flat in case of any issues. We have friends and family how stay locally who can assist guests if required. The NeighborhoodThe flat is ideally located in a quiet street over looking the Gogo burn and is moments away from Largs main street which hosts a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and is a 4 min walk from the popular beach promenade where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Firth of Clyde and the island of Cumbrae, or stop off at the "Art Deco" Nardini cafe to enjoy their world famous ice creams. To the south end of the promenade you will find Largs most famous monument "The Pencil" built in 1912 to commemorate the battle of Largs in 1263 and also the popular yacht haven/ marina. Getting AroundWith the local train station only 2 minutes away the flat has great transport links to and from Glasgow city center. Other Things to NoteThere is no WiFi in the flat, however there are several local cafe and the library that offer WiFi if required. Free Wifi is also available at the Bosun's Table out at the marina, which serves great coffee's and food daily.

The NeighborhoodQuiet, residential area just 2 minutes off the promenade. Getting AroundRail, bus and ferry links only a couple of minutes walk away. Glasgow and Prestwick airports are only 30 minutes drive. Other Things to NoteGolf courses, Largs Yacht Haven, Kelburn Country Centre all within easy reach.

    The SpaceAmazing unobstructed sea views. There is no road in front of the property just the promenade.....that's how close the apartment is to the water!! It has been kitted out to a high standard and has a double bed in the main bedroom and two singles which can be pushed together in the second bedroom. There is plenty of storage in both bedrooms. The kitchen comes fully fitted complete with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The bathroom is fitted with a shower/bath as can been seen in the photograph. The living room has a 32" Flat screen 3D television with a DVD player and is completely HDMI compatible if you want to bring your laptop to play movies. There is also a stereo CD player available. All Bed linen and towels will be provided and if you are travelling with children we have bucket, spades and nets for some beach action. Guest AccessThe apartment has it's own access so guests can come and go as they please. Interaction with GuestsGuests will be contacted to confirm their booking, and I'll come and meet you upon arrival to ensure everything is satisfactory. I work less than a minute away from the apartment and also live in the town so I'm always available should a problem arise and I will gladly help any guests with info on places to visit etc. The NeighborhoodThe lovely town of Largs is a popular seaside destination and offers everything from boat trips, paddle steamer cruises on the world famous Waverley, horse riding and play parks and access to the Isle of Cumbrae a short ferry ride away. The apartment is in a super convenient location less than a minutes walk to both the ferry terminal and the town centre. The train station is a 5 minute walk and after 5 pm there is ample car parking on the streets near the apartment. Getting AroundGlasgow is 40 minutes away by car or 50 minutes by train on a direct line without changing train. There are plenty of bus stops near the property within a couple of minutes walk. A fantastic new cycling path has been built which means you can cycle all the way to West Kilbride with minimal cycling on public roads. Other Things to NoteThere are 11 stairs leading into the apartment. I have included a picture of them in case a potential guest has difficulty climbing stairs.

      Lilybank is a delightful flat in the Coastal village of Fairlie. The flat is 30 metres from the beach. Fairlie is an ideal location for day trips to the the islands of Arran, Cumbrae, Bute and the Cowal peninsular. Ideal location for golf, sailing, walking and cycling. The village has a train station five minutes walk from the flat with an hourly service direct to Glasgow or changing at Kilwinning for Ayr. Ayr is the heart of Burns Country. Regular bus service to Ayr and Greenock. The town of Largs is three miles away and Largs Yacht Haven a half hour walk. Kelburn Country Park has horse riding facilities and organised events for kids. The village has a pub, deli and beauty salon. Quiet Coastal Village three miles from Largs. The village has a local pub and restaurant. The village has a very good Deli. Largs Marina is walking distance and has several restaurants. The award winning Catch at Finns is nearby. This is an ideal base for exploring the region. Cumbrae, Bute and the Cowal Penninsular are on the doorstep as is the Isle of Arran. Burns country is a thirty minute drive from Fairlie. Largs offers shopping facilities and indoor swimming. There is a putting green in Largs and childrens' amusements. The Cumbrae Ferry leaves from Largs. Cumbrae is ideal for walking and cycling.

Kelburn Castle, situated between Largs and Fairlie, is the ancestral home of the Boyle (originally de Boyville) family, the hereditary Earls of Glasgow. Kelburn is believed to be the oldest castle in Scotland to have been continuously inhabited by the same family. The de Boyvilles who originated in Caen in Normandy came up after the Norman Conquest of England in 1066. The forebears of the modern day Boyles settled at Kelburn around 1140. The Noddsdale Water flows from the north to reach the sea at the north end of Largs, and Brisbane House sited in the dale about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) up the river was the birthplace of the soldier and Governor of New South Wales Sir Thomas Brisbane, whose name was given to the city of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia, and, in 1823, to "Brisbane Water" on the NSW Central Coast. Noddsdale was renamed Brisbane Glen in his honour.[7] The 'Prophet's Grave' is located in the Brisbane Glen close to Middleton Farm. In 1647 the Reverend William Smith died from the 'plague' whilst ministering to his parishioners who had temporarily forsaken Largs as a result of the aforementioned plague. William asked to be buried in the glen next to the Noddsdale Water and prophesised that if the two rowan trees planted at either end of his grave were prevented from touching then the plague would never return to Largs. The grave is in a delightful spot during the day and was a popular tourist attraction with postcards available and a thorough restoration in 1956. Night visits, however, have resulted in reports of ghost sightings and unusual phenomenon. The prophecy has been of debatable efficacy however it has meant that his grave has been well looked after for around four hundred hundreds. Construction work in progress on Largs pier as MV Loch Riddon arrives on the service from Great Cumbrae A Caledonian MacBrayne ferry service runs from Largs to Great Cumbrae, and the paddle steamer Waverley also calls in at the pier during cruises. The town is served by the railway line from Glasgow to North Ayrshire (the Ayrshire Coast Line) and also lies on the main A78 road.           Within a few minutes walk to the sea front this recently renovated, property is perfect. In a very quiet area with easy access to local railway, bus links and ferry connection to Millport. Views over the gardens and church steeples. Ground floor for the easiest access. Completely renovated in 2013 everything is modern, new and waiting. A few minutes walk to town centre with rail, bus and ferry links; 30 Minutes drive to Glasgow and Prestwick airports, yet this property is in a very tranquil setting.

                The NeighborhoodFairlie is a quite costal village in North Ayrshire situation betwith excellent train links to Glasgow and beyond. It has an excellent pub that serves gastro pub style food less than 5 mins walk away as well as a Deli, Chinese takeaway, roll shop, beauty salon and garage/grocery shop within 10 mins walk. Getting AroundFairlie train station is a 15 minute walk from the property which takes you directly to Glasgow Central Station in just under 50 . There is a regular bus service that takes you north to Largs or South to Ayr with the bus stop less than 5 mins walk to the house. Within walking distance is the pub (5 mins), Fairlie Yatch Haven, (10 mins) and Largs Marina (and its amenities and restaurants - try Scotts) (20 mins). Largs town centre is also a lovely 45 minute stroll along the North Ayrshire Costal Path.
