Our home was built in 1973, addition in 2002, remodeled in 2011 and redecorated in 2013.
The kitchen has all new granite counters, cherry cabinets, two sinks, a 5 burner gas stove, built-in refrigerator, microwave, oven and warming drawer. Ajoining the kitchen is a family room with TV and fireplace. There are also beautiful separate dining and living rooms.
There are two master bedrooms. Both have a queen size bed and open onto a deck with views of the surrounding hills. One is upstairs and the other is a downstairs master suite with a queen bed, bath, office and separate entry. The two other bedrooms have double beds.
The front yard includes a lemon tree, a lime tree and an apple tree. Guest AccessThe family room has a new 42" flat screen LCD TV with surround sound, fireplace, iMac, printer, WiFi and opens out into the grassy front yard and patio with views of the surrounding hills.
The living room also has a 50" flat screen plasma TV with surround sound and fireplace, and opens onto a deck with views of the surrounding hills. We have new furniture in the kitchen, family room and living room. Many of the rooms have the Sonos music system.
In addition, the property has a tree house and large swing. Interaction with GuestsWe would not expect to be present during your stay. The NeighborhoodOur cozy neighborhood includes 6 homes on top of a hill, which is accessed via an avenue with redwoods growing right out of the street. Downtown Larkspur is a 5-10 minute walk with a number of renowned restaurants (Picco, Left Bank, etc.), shopping and a local movie theater. Getting AroundThe Larkspur Ferry to San Francisco is 3-4 miles away. Busses run regularly into and out of the City on weekdays. The Golden Gate Bridge is only 11 miles away. Other Things to NoteLarkspur is on one of the most popular road biking routes in the Bay Area. Easy access to mountain biking trails also abounds. We are 9 miles from the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, 11 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco, 12 miles from Muir Beach, 14 miles from the top of Mt. Tamalpais, 18 miles from Stinson Beach, 25 miles to the Point Reyes National Seashore and 30 miles to Sonoma. In addition, it is only 1 hour 45 minutes to Santa Cruz, 2 1/2 hours to Monterrey, and 3 1/2 hours to Yosemite National Park or Lake Tahoe.
