Guest AccessFeel free to relax and unwind in front of the big screen! The shared space includes access to a Movie Theater with theater style recliners, Blu-ray and digital projection, surround sound and satellite television on a 16 foot screen! The theater also offers a commercial popcorn machine and mini fridge (help yourself to a soda or bottle of water). Directions for use of the equipment is found in the theater. Spend a quiet morning in the library: catching up on the latest news, reading a book or enjoying the views looking out the large picture window make this an intimate and comfortable space to relax. Feel like eating in? No problem! The kitchen is stocked with all the essential cooking utensils and gadgets and the dining room offers seating for six. Should you need space for groceries in the fridge--that is no problem. A family room provides a nice place to relax, watch television or even take a nap. A 52" flat screen television with DVD player and satellite TV, along with a Roku player for streaming Netflix is available for your use. Prefer sitting outside? This home has an amazing back patio with a large in-ground pool. Feel free to fire up the grill and make yourself at home in the outdoor sitting area. The pool is private and swimming is at your own risk. Use of the pool is not a guaranteed amenity, but is usually available for your use. The pool is heated by a solar blanket, which you may have to reel up in order to swim (it is easy and only takes 10 seconds). Also, the pool is seasonal--usually mid May to mid September. A laundry room with a washer, dryer and iron/ironing board are available for your use. There is a very friendly Labrador dog that resides in the house. His name is Jake and he may bark when you arrive (he feels the need to), but he is just looking for a friend. Interaction with GuestsI am always willing to help guests find what they need during their stay. I can offer suggestions to restaurants or nearby attractions. You may or may not see me during your stay as my schedule often keeps me busy, and at times, out of town, but I am always available by phone and my roommates are happy to assist. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood offers plenty of sidewalks for walking or jogging. Also, it is a great location with quick access to highways, major medical centers, shopping, dining and the university. Getting AroundPlease park on the street in front of the home. There is plenty of space and this will prevent blocking any cars in the garage. Other Things to NoteAirport transportation to ELP can be arranged for an additional $40 each way. The SpaceWe are conveniently located off HWY 70 East less than one mile from the NMSU Dona Ana Branch Community College. We are also less than a mile from the Veteran's park and under 2 miles from a lovely city park. Our property backs up to the Alameda Arroyo which provides lots of bird watching from the back porch as well as hiking (or sauntering) opportunities. For your shopping needs, we are a 10 minute drive to downtown destinations such as the Farmer's Market as well as the Mesilla Valley Mall. Sam's, Walmart, KMart and Walgreens are within 1 mile. Access to 'Old' Mesilla is easily attained via I25 connecting to I10. Nearby dining available is IHop, Ruby Tuesday's, Uno's Chicago Bar and Grill, Peter Piper Pizza, Coldstone Creamery and Jack in the Box. Of course, we can also direct you to the locally famous eateries as well. Guest AccessYou will be provided with a queen size bed and we also have a porta crib if you have a little one accompanying you. Access to your own restroom containing a tub/shower combo.Our house is equipped with refrigerated air. We provide a small refrigerator in room and access to a microwave and washer/dryer. We have two Yorkies who love having company. Interaction with GuestsWe are on-site but will allow you all the privacy or company you desire. We love to visit with people from other areas and welcome your company should you so desire. The NeighborhoodWe have a quiet and friendly neighborhood on the outer edge of an arroyo. This provides lots of small wildlife observation from the back porch. We have resident quail, dove, roadrunner and occasional rabbits. You may even have the opportunity to see a coyote on occasion. Getting AroundCity transportation is available and a bus stop is just around the corner. Other Things to NoteWe have plenty of parking available to the east side of the house and if you have a RV you may park it there. We have parked a 27ft. RV there in the past.

The SpaceLocated out in the Dona Ana desert and away from the city noise, however, we are close enough to all the shopping and entertainment to suit your needs. Downtown Las Cruces is only 7 miles from our place, only a 15 minute drive. Guest AccessHigh Speed WiFi, Wireless Printer/Scanner, Gymnasium, Laundry, Full Kitchen, Extra Refrigerator, Central HVAC, PS3/4, XBOX, Wii, Netflix and a large collection of media for all to enjoy. Large living room with sectional couch, 2 comfy recliners and a separate recliner for anyone to use. We also have a built-in fire pit in the back yard to include outdoor furniture if you are into outdoor dining or just to chill out and enjoy the view. Interaction with GuestsWe are a married couple living in a 5 bedroom house, one of us is always available working from home should you need assistance getting around. All living areas are located on different corners of an open layout allowing for privacy. We are a middle aged couple, friendly, fun and outgoing who can provide you with advice on the hot-spots of the area if needed. We are very much into healthy living and can help motivate in that category if you please! Always cooking nutritious meals and there is usually some to spare. We can accommodate for all types of guests, if you like it quiet, no problem, if you like to party, we'll join in on the fun as well! The NeighborhoodPrivate, Secluded, Scenic neighborhood, overlooking the Organ Mountains. Lovely desert paths welcome you from our front yard if you are up for a peaceful strolling or jogging adventure. Getting AroundIt would be best to rent a vehicle if you are working and don't have Family/Friends here that can assist you. We won't mind giving you a lift if we are headed to town so you can meet friends, co-workers, family or for you to explore the area. Other Things to NoteWe have a remotely accessible security system to keep you and your belongings safe. Feel free to come and go as you please without a worry in your mind.

Getting AroundWe are conveniently located near the bus stop or have local taxis or Uber to call at any time. Other Things to NoteThe Painted Desert Mansion has a lovely restful atmosphere that belies the busy, activity filled community in which we live.

The SpaceNo cleaning fees and no security deposit. This comfortable casita has everything you need to make your Las Cruces vacation fabulous. The casita is located in the Mesquite Historic District oldest part of the city. The Casita includes three rooms: a full-size kitchen, complete with microwave, coffee maker, full size refrigerator, four burner stove/oven, toaster and other cooking essentials. Two bar stools are available in the kitchen to enjoy the great view and meals at the breakfast bar. The bedroom/living room combo has a queen size bed with blankets and a comforter. Next to the bed is a nice side table and an antique trunk. This room also holds a swivel club chair and a nice antique dresser to hang your clothes. Also includes, flat screen TV, DVD player with a lots of great movies and the internet. Full bathroom. It is stocked with fresh towels. Air conditioner is evaporative cooling not refrigerated air. You can sit on the deck and enjoy the wonderful view of neighborhood park or enjoy the private patio in the back of the Casita. The property has on-street parking directly in front of the Casita. This street is a one way heading west. You can walk to the Farmer's Market on Wednesday and Saturday, only a five minute walk from the Casita. Directly across the street is Klein's Park and La Nueva Cafe which has excellent Mexican food. Also right next door to the cafe is Beck's Coffee Shop. Close to downtown, city bus, cafes and art galleries. The city bus stops directly in front of the park, only a two minute walk from the Casita. Guest AccessCasita is located just a five minute walk from the outdoor Downtown Mall and its associated stores, restaurants, museums, Farmer`s Market, yoga/fitness studios, Rio Grande Theatre and Black Box Theatre. Area has a number of artist studios/galleries and many are open during the monthly Art Ramble (1st Friday of each month). Interaction with GuestsI'm available to answer questions about Las Cruces and points of interest. Instructions will be provided on how to access the casita once reservations are made. The NeighborhoodI love that the Casita it is located in the heart of Las Cruces in the Mesquite Historic District with many charming adobes painted in vibrant rainbow shades which date to the founding of the town. Many are at least a century old. Getting AroundPublic bus stops directly across the street, a two minute walk. Walking distance to downtown area. We are so lucky to have so many great restaurants in walking distance! One might say that it would be ridiculous to even attempt a home cooked meal when you can choose from La Nueva Casita Café directly across the street along with Beck's coffe shop, Nopalito Restaurant, Rasco's BBQ, Pho Á Dông, and now Habanero's Fresh Mex. Walking distance to the farmer's market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Mesilla is about a 9 minute drive and the NMSU is about also about 9 minutes away.

The SpaceUnique and cozy 1952 bungalow in downtown Las Cruces. Available for vacation or short-term rental. No minimum stay. The price for longer stays is negotiable. Two people fit comfortably. This unit is one of three bungalows in a recently renovated triplex. It is 500sq. ft. with a queen size bed (memory foam), bathroom (shower), fully equipped kitchen, and central AC/heating. Free wi-fi is available upon request (no television). On street parking. Contemporary shared patios create a peaceful and inviting space for relaxing. Sunrises and sunsets in NM are spectacular and the patios offer great vantage points. The NeighborhoodLas Cruces has much to offer. The Las Cruces Farmers and Crafts Market is three blocks away as are a number of museums, theatres, art galleries, parks, and local favorite food spots. New Mexico State University is about three miles away. One drawback about being downtown is that you can hear the train at night. Getting AroundAccess to public transit is two blocks away. Other Things to NoteI live on the premises and I have two older dogs that are sometimes in a separate, but adjacent yard. Please note: My daughter lived in the apartment during the fall semester last year and her cat lived there as well.

The SpaceHousehold How-To's & Info: Garbage - The trash container is located outside the garage. - Trash day is Friday morning. Put trash container at the end of the concrete of the driveway ON THE DIRT. (otherwise the trash truck will not pick up the trash) A/C Switches - There are AC/Heater switches through the home. One is located in master bedroom next to the bed. It controls the master bedroom and office. Another is located in hall headed to the master bedroom that operates the living room and dining area. Next there is one in the Gym on the wall next to the sauna; it controls the gym and media room. In the Wine room there is one located above the wine refrigerator that one is only for the wine room. And last there is one located in the hall going to the two guest room guest room with controls the bedrooms and kitchen area. DO NOT SET ANY OF THE THERMESTATES BELOW 74 DEGREES AT ANY TIME AND PLEASE TURN OFF WHEN NOT IN USE!! Lamps & Light Switches The lamps in the master are on a 3-way switch. If you try to turn them on using the actual lamp switch, you might think the bulb is bad. In fact, it usually means that the switch is just off. Please be sure the switch is on then try turning the actual lamp on. I believe this goes for the other bedrooms as well. Breaker Box - The breaker box is located in the corner of the garage. If a breaker is tripped simply flip the appropriate switch. Water - Water shut off is located on the right hand side of the stairs in the front. (going to the front door) it has a round green cover. Theater & TV - The remote control for the living room TV is located on the coffee table or top of the DVD player. - To operate the theater equipment, first turn on the projector with the white remote control in the basket in the closet of the theater room. The projector is located directly above the middle couch. Just press power. Then get the DirectTV remote control located also in the basket. Power that on as well. You will know it’s on when the blue lights are visible on the DIRECTV receiver. Last, turn on the "Dennon" reciever. On the remote you will select multimedia. If you would like to watcha a DVD, select "Blueray player" on the "Dennon" remote. You should not have to turn anything else on or any other receivers. If for some reason you aren’t getting a picture, double check that the bottom receiver is powered on and "multimedia" should be selected. - The remote controls for the theater room are located in a basket inside the closet of the theater room. Please place them back in the basket before checking out. Towels - There are extra towels in the linen closet, in the master bathroom as well as under the sink in the guest bathroom. If you can’t find the towels in the linen closet in the master check under the sinks. - There are pool towels in the linen closet of the master bathroom. Kitchen - The garage door openers are located on the island counter in the kitchen. Be sure to put them in the same place when you check-out. -The garbage disposal switch for the island sink in the kitchen is located under the sink in the cabinets. - To close and lock the sliding glass doors in the kitchen. Hold the right hand side door in place as far left as it will go then make sure the lock switch is down on the left sliding door. Once it is gently slam it against the right down. - There is a lighter, matches, phone book, dish towels, and remote to the kitchen DVD player are located in the top left drawer on the left of the kitchen sink (not island sink) Spa and Pool Equipment - To operate the Spa equipment. It is located as you go outside the back patio to the left of the house. You will walk on the path and exit the gate. You will see the equipment as you are exiting the backyard to the left. Everything should be labeled. - Spa take about 90 minutes to heat up. To operate the Spa Equipment Spa Instruction 1)Turn the valve handle marked with a red “S” (The valve on very bottom, first on the left) clockwise to face the mountains. 2)On the heater press SPA to the on position. -You will hear the heater start. Wait the appropriate time for desired temperature (90 minutes or less). Do not touch any other vales please. Waterfall, Lights, & Jets -There is a power box on the north side of house labeled water fall or water feature. Open box and turn switch to on position. Make sure to turn off when not in use - The jets for the spa are located on the east (toward the mountains) wall just beyond the spa. - Lights are also located in the same location as the jets. Notes: -Once the valves have been turned to operate the spa, there should be no water spilling over into the pool from the spa. -PLEASE SHUT OFF THE HEATER TO THE HOT TUBE WHEN IT IS NOT BEING USED!! . If you do not turn it off it will continue to heat, using propane and you will be responsible for all charges!! - DO NOT take the vacuum out of the pool. It will burn the pump. The vacuum must stay in at all times! The following information was also stated in the Rental Agreement: Pool Heating Expenses – To heat the pool and/or hot tub you will be responsible for all charges. At $3.00/Gallon of Propane. If you wish to heat the hot tub, charges will be taken out of your deposit and if necessary the remainder charged to you credit card. If you do not choose to heat the hot tube you will not be charged! It takes about ninety minutes to heat the hot tub and you can turn it off at any time to keep the meter from running. Be sure the check the propane tank before you begin to heat and write it down for your records. Our staff checks the tank before your arrival and after your departure also making a note of the percentage with photograph. PLEASE SHUT OFF THE HEATER TO THE HOT TUBE WHEN IT IS NOT BEING USED!! . If you do not turn it off it will continue to heat, using propane and you will be responsible for all charges!! Laundry -There is laundry detergent and bleach above the washer and dryer in the laundry room. - There is an iron, ironing board and hangers in the laundry room. Hangers are also provided in each of the closets. - There is also an ironing board hanging on the back of the door of the master closet. Cleaning - The vacuum cleaner and broom is located in the pantry along with a step stool and extra kitchen ware. Internet - If the internet is running slow or connection has stopped. Go to the modem and router located on the dresser of the master bedroom. Unplug the power cord to both the modem and router for 30 seconds and then plug the cords back in. Wait for them to reboot. It will take about a 1 or 2. Then try to reconnect to the internet. DON’T PRESS RESET AT ANYTIME ON THE MODEM FOR THE INTERNET. YOU WILL NO LONGER HAVE ANY INTERNET ACCESS AT ALL! Miscellaneous - On the bottom shelf of the pantry there is a poker set for your enjoyment. - There are a few extra blankets also in the theater room closet. - In the upstairs office there is a sleeper sofa. Bed pad, sheets, pillows, and blankets are located in the tall dresser. - All fireplace gas sources are turned off for the summer. Please leave switches turned off. - There are several dimmer switched around the house. They move up and down to your desired preference. Guest AccessKeys: They are in a lock box hanging from the front door handle. Begin by pressing clear. Then type in the code 56931. Be sure you can hear each number click. After entering the code press the black button on the top downward. The face of the lockbox will come off, the keys will be inside. Put the face of the lockbox on the same way you took it off….Pressing clear, re-entering the codes, etc.

The SpaceCome enjoy our beautiful Craftsman Style home in the historic Alameda Depot District in the downtown area and near the famous Farmers Market. This warm, inviting, and very comfortable 3 bedroom, 3 full bathroom with a jetted tub in the Master Bath home, includes a wet bar with wine chiller, a large open kitchen, separate sitting area, flat screen satellite TV, high speed wireless internet service, and front loading washer and dryer. This home is beautifully landscaped in both the front and back outdoor living space. The original part of our home was built in 1946, and was recently completely remodeled and upgraded to include all the modern amenities without losing its yesteryear charm. Guest AccessRelax or entertain on the large deck with the tranquil sounds of a waterfall coming from the fish pond and views of the Organ Mountain peaks. Interaction with GuestsBecause we don't yet live in Las Cruces, we regret we won't be able to personally greet you; however, we've left a chilled bottle of wine for your enjoyment. If you enjoy mountain climbing or exploring new sites, the Organ mountains and White Sands National Parks are within a short driving distance. During the growing season, guests are welcome to pick fresh vegetables from my garden. The space includes a full size bed, tea kettle, dorm frig, microwave, eating utensils, reading material and more..... Interaction with GuestsI work at New Mexico State University (NMSU) so I'm in and out everyday. I provide instructions as to how to access the studio when I am not there and guests arrive. The NeighborhoodThe historic Alameda Depot neighborhood is centrally located in the heart of Las Cruces. A beautiful park is one block away and the Las Cruces Farmers and Crafts Market is held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Museums, theatres, and art galleries are within walking distance. Getting AroundThe city bus transfer station is two blocks away. Parking is on the street. If you fly into El Paso you head west on I-10 to Las Cruces. Other Things to NoteThere are many places to visit in and around Las Cruces. White Sands National Monument, Dripping Springs, and Aguirre Springs are three nearby sites to visit. NMSU has events throughout the year.

The SpaceBeautiful adobe home built in the 1930s with modern amenities. Guest AccessThe entire home is available, including full kitchen, two bedrooms with two full baths, laundry room and peaceful, secluded backyard. Interaction with GuestsI prefer to email and text. The NeighborhoodMy neighborhood is a quiet, lovely block with 4 houses near the downtown area. The recently restored downtown area is about a 15 minute walk from my house and offers a wonderful farmer's market Saturday and Wednesday mornings (although Saturdays are much more lively). Getting AroundThere is a bus line within 50 yards of the house and easy access to the highway. There are taxi services in Las Cruces and Uber has recently branched out here but it's still relatively new so it's not as common.

The SpaceThe house has a large, comfortable living room. There is work station that overlooks the back yard. There is a kitchen which comes stocked with some basic staples and spices. The dining room seats 6. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Maid service is provided for 3 hours each week. The two bedrooms sleep 4. A seating area in the back is great for bird watching. There is a barbecue grill. Guest AccessA lock box allows check in at any hour of the day or night. You will be provided with a code upon booking. Interaction with GuestsIf you are booking the entire house, it is because I am out of the country. Brian and Steven manage the house while I am away. Previous guests have found them very responsive. Brian has his own Airbnb a few blocks away. I can be reached on a local number which will ring on my phone anywhere in the world. The NeighborhoodThis is a quiet residential neighborhood close to NMSU, the hospital and close to the mountains and great hiking. Getting AroundThere is very little public transportation in the area. You will need a car to really get to know the area.

The SpaceThe room is a large master suite at the back of the house with a queen bed and one twin air mattresses if requested ahead. High desert mountains provide a beautiful view morning and evening. New home in a quiet neighborhood. Easily accessible to University, highways, air force base, southwest attractions, hiking, hospitals--so ideal for professionals, teachers, travelers, military. Guest AccessGuests must get to the gated community by entering Pegasus off of Sonoma Park Blvd. The gate code to my complex works only at the west gate just off of Sonoma Ranch Blvd on Pegasus, NOT the east gate off of Calle Abuelo. (the gate code is in the Basics house instructions, which you have access to when you are booked). The guests will have a large private master suite, at the back of the house, as well as use of the back patio and garden area, kitchen, laundry, wifi. Parking is in on the right side of the driveway (off the street). There is a community-access swimming pool open for a few months in the summer. There is a guest book in the room with instructions to give tips about the area, and guests can feel free to ask about anything they are looking for in the Las Cruces area. The NeighborhoodIt is a very new, quiet, well-maintained neighborhood with high mountain views, nice trails and paved areas for walking and biking. It is close to a variety of shopping and restaurants. (Check the Basics in this listing, and the Guest notebook in the suite for maps, coupons, etc.) Getting AroundFor the most part, people have their own cars or bicycles in Las Cruces. There is a nearby Enterprise car rental, which I have used who are very customer friendly. Other Things to NoteBookings are per person. Pets are booked as an additional person per night. A beautiful park is one block away and the Las Cruces Farmers and Crafts Market is held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Museums, theatres, and art galleries are within walking distance. Getting AroundThe city bus transfer station is two blocks away. Parking is on the street. If you fly into El Paso you head west on I-10 to Las Cruces. Other Things to NoteThere are many places to visit in and around Las Cruces. White Sands National Monument, Dripping Springs, and Aguirre Springs are three nearby sites to visit. NMSU has events throughout the year. The train can be heard when it passes through the neighborhood.

Guests have access to the entire casita and their own private yard with outdoor chairs to sit and enjoy in the yard. Yard is fully enclosed with a latch to ensure pets do not escape by someone accidentally opening the gate. Fence is 6 feet tall, very private. Well-behaved pets will be considered and will incur an additional daily rate of $10 PER PET. Please request rate if booking with a pet. We love that it is so close to the university and the Las Cruces Convention Center.
