****Please let us know if you have pets. Pets are welcome to stay here, but we do ask that you have a place to keep your pet (i.e. dog crate, pet carrier, etc.) while you may be away from the house as they may be distressed in a new home. A pet fee of $40/week or $125/month applies.
This house is in a quiet location of Phoenix. A quick drive will get you almost anywhere in the city. If you are new to Phoenix, we are happy to make recommendations for fun things to do here. From white water rafting and trapeze lessons, to wine tastings or museums, we have found a lot of fun things to do in the Phoenix area!
From our house to local attractions we are:
- Downtown Phoenix (NBA and MLB games, museums): 15-20min
- Tempe (ASU, Mill Ave): 20-25min
- Westgate (Cardinals Stadium, Coyotes hockey arena, mall shopping): 20min
- Old Town Scottsdale (bars, restaurants, shopping): 25-35min
If you are more adventure focused, we are located 5 minutes from great mountain biking and hiking in South Mountain Park, plus we have walking/biking trails, tennis courts, basketball courts, and more within walking distance of our home. The Bougainvilla and Aguila Golf Courses are both within 5 minutes from our house.
Phoenix is a great place to use as a base to explore the Southwest. San Diego, LA, Las Vegas, and the beaches of Mexico are all about 5 hours away. The Grand Canyon, Sedona, White Mountains, and AZ's wine country are 2-4 hours. We have been to almost every corner of the state, so if you want to know the hidden treasures, we would be happy to tell you our favorite places to visit.
Please note, because Phoenix is so spread out, we advise having a vehicle here. Public transportation is not far away from our home, but it takes a while to get to most parts of the city from our home. With a car, we are convenient to most parts of the Valley, including downtown Phoenix (sports, restaurants, and arts), Tempe (shopping, restaurants, nightlife), Glendale (sports and shopping) and Scottsdale (shopping, arts, sports, nightlife).
We look forward to hearing from you! Guest AccessGroups will have access to all areas of the home. There is a ping-pong table and big screen upstairs in the loft that we are happy to set up for you. You also have access to the laundry room if you've been on the road for a while, and the kitchen in case you want to cook a home-cooked meal. Interaction with GuestsWe are almost always available by text or AirBNB message, but you probably won't see us much. The NeighborhoodLaveen is a farming community that has started to fill in with housing developments. It is very unique to the Phoenix area because of it's rich mix of cultures. We chose to live here because of the area's diversity, as well as the farming environment. It's a neat mix of old and new Arizona. It is very close to South Mountain park where hiking and mountain biking are abundant. Getting AroundWe HIGHLY advise having a car if you stay with us, and we have a 2 car garage available for you. Phoenix is a SUPER spread out city (50+ miles in all directions), so while we do have public transportation near us, it can take a while to get to your destination by bus. By car, we are 20 minutes to many popular destinations.
Feel free to ask about distances, and I'll let you know average drive times. Other Things to NoteThis house is our primary residence, but due to our travel schedules it is often available for long-term stays.
