Other Things to NoteOur beautiful, year round lake home is many levels is not suitable for someone challenged with stairs. Also, because there is little land area (there is a magnificent large patio and lots of water, however), it is not ideal for young children who want to play outside on a beach. However, the town of Lenox, as well as, the town of Lee, have sandy beaches that you can canoe, kayak, or drive to. The lake is not large and is mostly a small craft lake with fishing and swimming. You will rarely be disturbed by large boats. It is mostly enjoyed by kayakers. Not only can you kayak to a beach, but also to two restaurants right on the water. One third of the lake is private property and is wooded, and therefore it is quiet. There are very few properties on Laurel Lake.
