Kitchen: large kitchen with extensive counters and cupboards as well as rolling butcher block. Gas stove, full-sized refrigerator with bottom freezer, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, blender, coffee maker. Fully stocked for food preparation, cooking and/or baking. and dining. Separate eat-in area looking out on deck and back yard.
Great Room: 14' x 20' room (front half of house) has dining area that will seat up to 8; and living room area futon couch, wing chairs, end tables, lamps, built in book shelves with books, games, and art. Futon couch converts to full size bed.
First bedroom has queen bed, 32" television, 2 closets, bureau, built in shelf unit, trunk and bench for suitcases.
Second bedroom has 2 twin beds, bureau, closet, bench for suitcase.
Bathroom: full bath, sink, toilet and shower in tub. Bath and hand towels, face cloths, and basic toiletries provided.
Breezeway: large heated 4-season room with front and back views. Interaction with GuestsWe live nearby and will meet you at the house when you arrive. You will be able to reach either of us anytime. We are happy to chat about the area and what you want to see/do. And if you prefer privacy, not a problem! The NeighborhoodAn easy drive south to Amherst (3 miles by bike), the heart of the Five College area and Pioneer Valley, bustling with everything from fine dining and theater to museums and festivals. Returning to the house, the neighborhood is woodsy with the houses spread out. The east side of the road is massive estate of Yankee Candle's founder. Conservation land and the Robert Frost trail are woven throughout the area. Take an easy drive north to Sugarloaf Mountain for the hands-down best view of the Connecticutt River and the Pioneer Valley. Getting AroundThere are some very nice breakfast spots that you can get to without going into downtown Amherst:
