This property looks east across the lake to the Andes, with Volcanoes Villarrica and Lanin in view, incredible sunrise and beautiful sunset.
The house is set in a grove of trees providing shade from summer sun. The property is green-screened so neighbors are not in view. Running alongside house is a babbling brook that culminates in a pretty waterfall at the lake. There are fruit trees and guests are welcome to help themselves to cherries, plums and apples in season (and of course, blackberries).
Stroll down to the easy switchback trail, then down a short step-ladder to enjoy your pristine little beach. Around the bend is a second little beach and the 15-foot waterfall that marks property boundary. You are free to walk the shoreline in either direction.
Bask in the sun. Swim in clean, clear water. Relax.
Beach towels, chairs, umbrella, inner tubes for floating are provided....and a cooler if desired.
Only 3 kms away, the village of Licán Ray provides plenty of fresh fruit, veggies and all basic shopping needs. Little specialty shops are open during the Summer season for homemade bread, fruit jams, honey, liqueurs, chocolates, artisan crafts, etc.
Enjoy a delicious cold local brew, great wine or yummy pisco and dinner on or near the lake at one of several good restaurants. Try the pastel de choclo or pastel de jaiba in season (crab). Take a boat tour, rent a kayak or paddle boat at one of the two long beaches and walk the nearby peninsula of old growth forest trails.
Coñaripe is across the lake and provides entry roads to several hot springs (but you must stop on the way at the old lava flow), Villarrica, Pucon, Valdivia, Huilo-Huilo are all an easy and pretty drive away.
