The upstairs Middleton Room sleeps two in a full-sized bed; the shared bathroom (bathrobes are provided) is down the hall. The large window overlooks the back grounds offering quiet, relaxing times.
The White Rose Manor has an historic setting that takes you back in time. The grounds support a multitude of bird types, flowering shrubs and open-air playhouse.
Guest AccessBackdoor guests are best is what we say. After our guests get settled, they can come and go from the back door, just like family. All of our guest rooms are upstairs and share a common bathroom. An alcove at the top of the stairs has two comfy reading chairs and Kuerig machine. There is WIFI available throughout the Manor. The main floor has a great room with a fireplace and multiple sitting areas as well as lots of windows. A television equipped with cable, DVD and VHS is available for guest use in the great room. The dining room is open for use during the entire stay. The dining room table seats 8 and is adjacent to the kitchen where breakfast is prepared for our guests.
Interaction with GuestsGuests have specific desires when they come to stay at the Manor. Some are quite lively and want to visit. Others are reserved and prefer to have their own time. We do our best to accommodate whichever needs are requested. Often late night coffee or afternoon tea is offered at no charge. With advance overnight reservations required, we are able to let our guests know if there will be others in the Manor during their stay. The NeighborhoodLincolnton is loveable with its Main Street and art loving residents. The Manor, one mile from the Square, is an easy stroll. In town, there is a pottery house where you can throw or fire your own, antiques stores, wine shops with tastings, the Lincoln Cultural Center with art exhibits and performances and a Farmer's Market (seasonal, open on Tuesdays and Saturdays). Getting AroundTransportation is on your own at the Manor. The Courthouse Square, one mile from us, is surrounded by a round-about (one way road), so remember to turn right; the center lane is the through lane. Bicycles may be available for loan depending on the schedule. Just up the street, there is the Marcia H. Cloninger Rail Trail for hiking, jogging and riding. If you need a lift from/to the airport, we may be able to help if it works with our schedule. The Charlotte airport (CLT) is about 40 minutes away. There is an Enterprise Car Rental in downtown Lincolnton, just up the road from the Manor. Other Things to NoteThis is an old home with multiple additions. Floors have a step-up and/or a step-down between most rooms and hallways. All guest rooms and the common bathroom are upstairs.
