The SpaceThe Sunbird is surrounded by a lovely garden. Here you can take your meals under a mango tree or inside the dining room. Inside the guest house there is a private courtyard where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful environment. All rooms have a double bed, private bathroom, hot water and mosquito netting over the bed. I live onsite and I am here with my two staff members to serve your needs. I enjoy conversing with people and I consider myself personable. At the Sunbird, we do our best to ensure each guest has a wonderful stay at the Sunbird. The NeighborhoodThe Sunbird is off the beaten track and a 20 minute walk to town. Or you can take a motorcycle taxi (boda) which will take you less than 5 minutes. What is beautiful here is the countryside. On your way to town your will pass ponds, banana trees, mango trees and all kinds of wildlife. The people in Pader are extremely friendly. You will feel welcome here. Getting AroundYou can park onsite or we can get a motorcycle taxi to take you where ever you want to go. This form of transportation is very inexpensive and you can explore the countryside for a day for under $10.

The house is located in a well-developed area, harmonious with the environment and with good access to all vital amenities. It has a pleasant neighborhood, is secure and pleasant to live in. Bungalow with 3 roomed private extension for guests, but adjoined to the main house. It has adequate paved parking and a surrounding wall. Good ample security lighting all round. There is secondary lighting from neighboring houses. It is comprised of a clay tile-roofed structure covering a base house unit and extension of rectangular alignment to maximize the frontage. One internal corridor in main house, external verandah linking the guest extension rooms. No staircases and no hallways. House is well and regularly maintained by plumbing, painting, fumigation, compound clearing, electrical repairing, sweeping and mopping. Temperature is naturally maintained by air currents. Front door is wide sliding metal frames with glass. Living room is combined with dining room and together can seat 15 persons at once. Sitting room alone is4mx6m. Furniture is sofa sets, side board, well mounted television set and granite centre table with rug. There are six serving tables. Floor is entirely ceramic tiles. The walls are painted plastered walls covered with wall paper. Ceiling is wooden structure plastered and painted (Ngarama). We serve tea, coffee, water, African & Continental Meals and Snacks. Dining area comprises a solid granite 6 seater table with detachable leg structure. There are 6 chairs. Kitchen has cupboards and extensive granite topped working surfaces. It has 3 fridges and a gas & electric cooker. House is very clean and has five functional bathrooms and toilets. Guest rooms have a 5ftx6ft foot bed, toilet, bathroom, mosquito room, television set and wardrobe. House has mosquito nets in all ventilators and around the beds. It is regularly fumigated. There are six bedrooms The home has armed guard protection and has a surrounding wall. These provide the required security and privacy. The surrounding wall has electric razor wire all round. Good lighting and ventilation in all the rooms All the rooms are fitted with electric lighting, and there is stable power backed with a standby power inverter supply and generator. The bed sheets, pillows and pillow cases are all neat and pleasant together with the towels and bedcovers. Guest bathrooms contain clean, functional toilets together with wash hand basin, towels, shower and mirror Good Lighting and ventilation Good quality municipal water supply A fire extinguisher is available and its working condition is regularly tested. It is also regularly serviced. This is provided by external circuit breaker and internal mcb panel and main switch Armed guard and dog available together with surrounding wall with electric razor wire and alarm. The house is suitably located near two major medical facilities. Transportation is available and a first aid kit is also available. There is a first aid kit and nearby medical facilities. No swimming pool at site but in a neighboring hotel there is (Esella Hotel).

The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is a farming community (rice, simsim, groundnuts, fruits, maize, etc) just one kilometer from the main road which contains cinemas, hotels, shops, etc. It is very spacious with an excellent view of the evening sunsets and starry skies. Getting AroundFrom our place you can easily reach other major towns in the north and east: Apac, Kitgum, Pader, Gulu, Soroti, Kotido, Abim, Kidepo, Masindi, etc. These places can all be reached by private or public means.
