The SpaceA very unique property to escape and settle in for a long weekend, a week or a month - this is the ideal place to base yourself to explore the incredible Northern Rivers Region. This large free-standing federation Queenslander home is nestled in a valley just outside Lismore, NSW. It is within 30 minutes drive to Byron Bay, Ballina, Bangalow, Lennox Head, Nimbin and Evans Head. 'Terracina' has large open spaces for living and dining. Three balconies surround the house, creating maximum outdoor summer living and dining space, while being the perfect winter home with a fireplace and heating if needed in the cooler months. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 modern bathrooms a large kitchen and multiple living areas with air-conditioning and dishwasher, laundry and car spaces for multiple vehicles. This home away from home is a 5 minute drive to Lismore amenities such as cafes, bakeries, shopping and Southern Cross University and 2 major hospitals; whilst maintaining the feeling that you are completely secluded on a private country estate. The property has many watering holes and gardens - including a herb garden which guests are encouraged to make use of. The kitchen is equipped to cook for guests and their friends with a choice of dining areas which can seat 8 people or more confortably in 3 different indoor/outdoor spaces. The house is positioned in a valley between two strips of rainforest which is home to many wildlife animals, including wallabies and echidnas who frequently emerge from hiding in the early morning hours. Longer term rentals available by negotiation for 3 months or more. We also happily host weddings at a negotiated fee. Guest AccessYou have access to linen, towels and all things essential to staying at Terracina. We also have a grounds keeper who is close by if any assistance is required. Interaction with GuestsYou will have the property to yourself - our grounds keeper lives close by and maintains property and home. He will happily introduce you to the property and then only visit if required for urgent matters. The NeighborhoodYou are in the middle of the Northern Rivers with both the mountains, the small villages and the coast to explore whilst having all the amenities of a large centre like Lismore. Getting AroundYou will need a hire car to visit the region, as all our villages are about 20km's apart. But the drives are scenic and stunning. Other Things to NoteIf you are bringing a pet with you, we ask that you keep him/her on the verandahs at night which all have gates - to ensure the wildlife isn't disturbed too much.

The SpaceWe chose a super-comfy bed and lounge because those are always our favourite places to relax, we also like to be able to have the space to prepare our own food. The laundry is handy too! The space is very quiet and private, and is not over-looked. Guest Access- - Arriving and Parking There is ample street parking for guests at the front of the house. If you're towing and are taking a couple of nights off (we know how you feel!) there is limited parking for vans and boats about 200 meters away. If you're here to work, we are happy to accommodate unusual check-in times. Interaction with Guests- - Say Hello! We're friendly and approachable, and can answer most questions about the local area. We really enjoy meeting our guests! The Neighborhood- - About Lismore Lismore is the largest city in the north of NSW. The city itself features sports facilities, cafes and restaurants by the dozen, and you can shop 'till you drop for anything from funky fashion to antiques and old wares. There are markets just about every day, and every second Sunday is the famous Lismore Car Boot Market. The area is also the business centre of the region, with every major bank and government service, car dealership and service provider. There's also two major hospitals and numerous specialist healthcare services. The Southern Cross University campus less than 5 minutes drive away, as is the Goonellabah Shopping Village with two supermarkets, cafes and stores, two gyms, pool and leisure centre. Further afield, about 30 minutes of driving in one direction will get you to the most spectacular beaches in the world (we're biased) at Byron Bay, Ballina and Lennox Head. In the other direction, you'll find the rainforest gateway towns of Nimbin or Kyogle and opportunities for hiking, bushwalking, and watering holes galore! Getting Around- - Getting Around Whilst there are bus services into Lismore and to Ballina, the Gold Coast and beyond, driving is the primary mode of transport in the area. If like a walk for exercise, the Goonellabah Shopping Centre is a stout 15 minute walk (we, and the neighbours do it regularly!). The Lismore area is well serviced by air, with REX servicing the Lismore airport three times a day, numerous carriers flying from Ballina direct to Sydney, Newcastle and Melbourne daily, and dozens of domestic and international services from the Gold Coast, which is about about 75 minutes away. Other Things to Note- - Please Note Travelling extensively, we know that there are some things that can turn a good stay into a GREAT stay! Our airbnb experiences have helped us to create the kind of space we like to find when we travel - it's quiet, comfortable and (we hope!) everything's exactly where you'd expect. If it's not … please let us know! We will communicate with you before you arrive with full instructions. We find airbnb travel works best if you have access to your e mail or the airbnb app so we can be sure you're receiving our messages! The SpaceDelightful 14 acre property where you may relax and enjoy views and learn a little about Koala habitat regeneration. The room will comfortably sleep 2 people for short stays. I will respect your privacy, however I am a friendly host who is happy to spend a little time telling you things of interest about the property and the area. Restoring koala native habitat is my passion and I would love you to experience this. Guest AccessGuests have access to the kitchen being welcome to cook for themselves. Laundry is available for use. To get the full benefit of the price of staying here you will want to allow for time to stroll through the gardens and explore the 14 acres of land that are under regeneration for koala habitat. This is part of the full experience of staying at the 'Koala Gardens' and should not be missed. Interaction with GuestsYou can stay here in my home with me without interference in what you wish to do. Share a relaxing cup of tea or coffee and friendly talks, but feel free to do your own thing. A guided tour and education on how to spot koalas is provided for all guests, weather permitting. Guests are welcome to explore the beauty of the property at their own leisure. The NeighborhoodThe property is in a koala corridor and the habitat is being regenerated. The north coast is a diverse area both geographically and culturally. This small 14 acres for example contains both bush habitat and a rainforest pocket.

The SpaceThe guests rent the homestead and farm in it's entirety. They can enjoy the peace and quiet of the space the farm allows. Guest AccessThey have access to the entire property. This includes a creek, a large dam and a ridge line along the rear boundary. There are also some small caves on the property. Interaction with GuestsAs owner I do not have any interaction with the guests, however, the caretaker has cattle agisted on the property and so is visible from time to time but certainly respectful of guests privacy. The NeighborhoodA very clean environment. The abundance of wildlife, which is almost certainly from the close proximity of state forests and National Parks. Getting AroundPersonal transport is essential as the property is in a rural setting and approx. 25 mins drive from the nearest large town. Other Things to NoteWe have had many enquiries from guests about bringing their pet dog or cat to stay at the homestead, whilst we have had guests bring their pets there are some things to keep in mind. There has been incidences of ticks in the past so we would recommend you have some preventative tick medicine for you pet. Also, there is no enclosure for pets at the homestead and there are cattle on the property so your pet would need to be restrained at all times.

The SpaceThis stunning 3 level timber pole house, set next to lush sub-tropical rainforest, is in the beautiful Northern Rivers region of northern NSW. This 2 bedroom house (with newly upgraded posture mattresses) is set in sub tropical gardens, with an abundance of bird life, bordering a koala habitat. The house sports a large lower living deck and balcony along both bedrooms, all of which boast stunning views of the bush. A large bathroom/laundry room with walk in shower and a lovely kitchen with stainless steel applicances are also features of the Tree House. The lounge has a sofa that easily converts into a queen size bed, making the house suitable for 6 people to sleep, along with large flat screen TV with surround sound Bose Speaker and blue tooth Bose stereo. The dining area has a nest of table and chairs but we suspect you will want to dine on the deck! "Thanks for the opportunity to stay on in the Tree House. It is a fabulous place and we really enjoyed being able to stay there" May 2013 The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac 5 minutes from the centre of Lismore and a few minutes drive to Southern Cross University, Lismore Base and St Vincent's Hospitals, as well as only 10 minutes to the Northern Rivers Premier LGBTI Tropical Fruits NYE Parties and Pool Party. The Tree House is apx 25 minutes to the beaches of Ballina and apx 35 minutes drive to the beaches of Lennox Head and Byron Bay. Served by Lismore, Ballina and Gold Coast airports this is an extremely convenient location for anyone needing to travel intra or inter state and only 2 hours drive to the metropolis of Brisbane, with great art, entertainment and food. Thanks to both you and Margo for making it so easy and pleasant" June 2013 The Tree House is also perfectly located close to many coastal and inland national parks, so if you love walking and/or camping this is a perfect base from which to explore pristine bush and beach national parks. Lismore is the regional hub of the Northern Rivers and has fantastic restaurants, cafes and shops, as well as thriving market scene. The neighbourhood is served by a limited bus service so your own transport is essential. The Tree House is a place to chill and unwind, sit on the expansive deck and read and enjoy being nestled in the trees with the parrots and sunshine. Stays over a month are negotiable, however a 4 weekly clean by our cleaner will be required and billed to you as part of the hosting charge in addition to the one off cleaning fee. Getting AroundYou will need a car/motorbike as there is a very limited bus service about 10 minutes walk away. On a clear night see the Byron lighthouse shine brightly and the local towns light up for an amazing night time show, but the ultimate night time show is the million stars that give a spectacular show all off their own! And being over 550 metres above sea level you can nearly reach out and touch them and grab a falling star! With absolute privacy and peace and quiet it is the ultimate getaway for the romantics, writers, artists or composes, nature lovers, birdwatchers to the stressed out executives, this is the place. The bathroom & kitchen is separate to the cabin. The bathroom has a beautiful claw foot bath that has the most amazing view, so soak away all the stress in our heated mountain spring water with your favourite drink on hand. We are completely off the grid... eco friendly, solar panels, composting toilet and spring water. The cabin has a wood heater to keep you warm on chilly nights, and wake up to the beautiful sunrises without having to leave the bed or wake up in the clouds. On arrival you will receive a complimentary hamper (if booked in for more than 1 night) Home made slices, locally produced tea and coffee, soap and shampoo. We might be mustering cattle in the paddock where the cabin is situated, so unless you wish us to supply you with home grown steak for the bbq or a lovely meal prepared for you, we will simply let you enjoy your privacy. If you need a place to recharge the batteries then the Eco Dairy is the place for you! I think most guests will love it here at Theresa Creek - as most people that come to stay never enjoy leaving! There is no public transport at Theresa Creek. Having a car will allow you freedom to explore the surrounding area, however if you are flying or arriving by train and do not wish to hire a car we are able to collect you from the airport /station at an extra cost.     The SpaceThis listing is a 5 minute walk to the CBD of Lismore with eateries, yet close to the coast and the hinterland. so perfect for tourists wanting some comfort and luxe on their holiday. One bedroom can be rented for $70 per night when available. Guest AccessThe home has two lage bedrooms one with king bed and office, the other with queen bed plus Tv and DVD. The whole home has wifi and the main sitting room has TBox, Foxtel and Bose sound system Interaction with GuestsI will check guests in and can provide breakfasts or meals on demand.

      A homestead styled after homesteads from the 1800's but with modern conveniences. The property has 3 bedrooms plus a loft suited for 2 children. A bathroom with a bath and a separate bathroom with shower. A large country kitchen with a fireplace, gas heating in the loungeroom, airconditioning in the main bedroom. A swedish sauna just outside the bedrooms. Outside for the adventurous there are some small caves, a running creek and a spring fed dam. there is varying terrain with some forest that rises to a ridge for walking. For relaxing there is a BBQ area just outside the kitchen. The homestead is on 143 acres or 57 hectares with Theresa Creek running through the property. It is surrounded by many National Parks and State forests. The Clarence and Richmond rivers afford some excellent kayaking opportunities nearby. The property itself is a great place to unwind and relax, Around Stanthorpe there are some excellent wineries.

                Gorgeous comfortable two bedroom 110 year old renovated Californian Bungalow. Only a short drive to North Coast beaches - Byron Bay, Lennox Head and Ballina. Plus an easy drive to Nimbin, Minyon Falls and Whian Whian State Forest, Mt Nardia, Mt Warning or the village markets. In saying thsi the home is centrally located for all the north coast tourist destinations. The home has three chill/ relax areas with a sunroom with two daybeds, a formal lounge with TV, DVD and open fire and a gorgeous media room with Bose sound system, surround sound, cable and DVD. The are two spacious bedrooms one king and one queen, one with Tv and DVD. The bathroom has a deep bath plus shower. This home is the perfect holiday home for two couples to have all the luxury and comforts with a fully working kitchen with all amenities. The host has a background in hospitality and can do breakfast/ lunch or a small party banquet on request

                The Space2 Bedrooms each with a queen size bed. New modern home with large deck - great for viewing the sunsets and the native birds feeding in our backyard. Nature reserve opposite with an abundance of bird life. Continental breakfast is included. Free Wi fi, laundry facilities and off street parking is available. We are a retired social couple and interaction with our guests can be as much or as little as our guests desire. We retired from the travel industry after 30 years and have travelled extensively over this time and we love to share our experiences and hear of those enjoyed by our guests. From our travelling, we understand the little things that add to the travel experience. Our little miniature poodle, Kiahmara is sure to welcome you on your arrival and will look for a cuddle. Guest AccessGuests can enjoy our home including our fabulous deck and gardens. There is a quiet sitting room for reading and then retire for the night in our two guest bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size bed, luxury furnishings, a huge wardrobe with heaps of coathangers, a chest of drawers, a mirror, bedside tables with lamps plus ducted heating and cooling. There is a separate guest toilet that has its own vanity plus a large guest bathroom with a separate bathtub, double bowl vanity and large walk in shower recess. Toiletries are included. These rooms would ideally suit couples travelling together. Interaction with GuestsBeing locals of the area for most of our lives we are more than happy to assist with directions, sightseeing, dining options and the like. The NeighborhoodWe are located in a quiet residential neighborhood only a few minutes to Lismore CBD and only 3 minutes to the shopping centre at Goonellabah. We are close to supermarkets, shops, pharmacy, cafes and restaurants, Hotels, Clubs, Southern Cross University, Hospitals and sporting facilities. We are a 15 - 20 minute drive to the beaches of Ballina and a few minutes more to Byron Bay. Nimbin and the rainforest areas are just 30 minutes away Getting AroundThe area is serviced by airports at Lismore and Ballina as well as local and interstate bus services.                 Our Pub was built in 1911. and has been heritage listed. If you want an aussie country pub experience, then this is the pub for you. Our motto is 'nothing is too much trouble'. We have live music every sunday and provide lunch and dinner. Cheers

                The SpaceOur house is designed to make the most of the surrounding environment while still allowing privacy. Large covered entertaining areas that open into the inside of the house by stacking sliding doors (with insect screens) convert the whole house into one big entertaining space. Bedrooms are situated far enough away from living spaces to ensure maximum privacy. Quality linen, towels, and toiletries provide a hotel like experience. We also have a robotic vacuum cleaner that keeps the place tidy. Guest AccessThe whole upstairs is yours - we will put our personal items either in the garage (downstairs) or in the main bedroom walk-in robe. The NeighborhoodOur street is a dead-end street with a creek and swimming hole and backed by a nature reserve. Wildlife including birds, wallabies and bandicoots make our street their home. Getting AroundWe are about 25 mins drive from Ballina/Byron airport (we think a hire car is the easiest way to get around) and only 10 min from the Lismore CBD. Other Things to NoteWe live in a quiet street, this is something our neighbours enjoy. Please don't party too hard (if nothing else it will scare the wallabies away).
