The SpaceLocated ideally in Lancaster County, PA, this home is a great blend of a quiet, peaceful place while being close to all of the things you want to do in the area: downtown Lititz (voted "Coolest Small Town in America" in 2013), downtown Lancaster, Amish country, lots of famous outlet shopping and much more.
The house is a well-appointed townhome with a living room, kitchen/dining room, TV room, 1.5 baths and 2 furnished bedrooms. There is also outdoor seating on a front porch as well as a deck in the back of the house.
Within easy walking distance (5 minutes), there is a public park with jogging/walking trails, sporting areas and playgrounds. There are also a number of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Guest AccessGuests will enjoy a private room with a full bed that accommodates 1 or 2 people. The bathroom will be shared and all amenities will be provided: towels, shampoo/conditioner, soap, etc.
Guests are welcome to make themselves comfortable in other parts of the house as well: living room, dining room, kitchen, TV room, outdoor sitting areas. I really do want you to feel like you're at home while you're here! Interaction with GuestsSome of my best travel experiences have been those that involved getting to know or staying with a local and learning about the "real" life in a place. I'm happy to do as much or as little of this for you as you would like.
If you're interested, I can tell you about great places to eat and drink, the coolest sites, museums, local events, shopping, etc. But if you have your own plans and don't need my help, that's fine too.
For the most part, I will be around and available both to welcome you upon arrival and to help when/if needed. If I won't be for some reason, I'll let you know that up front. Basically, I'm here to help you in any way that I can if you would like, but also willing to make myself scarce if you prefer to just hibernate in your room instead. :-)
There is also a cat in the house, but chances are she won't interact with you at all. Don't take it personally, she's just like that. She is a cat, after all. The NeighborhoodMy home is plunked right in between Lancaster and Lititz so you have easy access to the best that both have to offer:

Within easy driving distance: Harrisburg (45 mins), Historic Gettysburg (1 hr), Philadelphia (1.5 hrs), Baltimore (1.5 hrs), Washington DC (2.5 hrs), New York City (3 hrs) Getting AroundThere is a local bus system that has a stop about a block from my house. However, you will be best served if you have a car of your own to help you get around to all of the local things you'll want to see and do. There is free parking in a dedicated space right in front of my house. Other Things to NoteWhile I don't make a formal breakfast, I will happily show you where everything is and you'll be welcome to help yourself to whatever you would like to eat in the mornings. I always have coffee and tea as well as a varying selection of light breakfast foods like cereal, oatmeal, English muffins/jam, eggs, yogurt, etc.
