The NeighborhoodThe penthouse is located in a quiet and new residential area of Livadhia, Larnaca's closest suburb. It is a couple of minutes' drive from the center of Larnaca, while being within a couple minutes' drive from the beach and the main seafront road. The apartment is easily reachable from the highway and the airport, giving easy access to all major cities of the island and thus making it ideal as a starting point to discover this fantastic island. Apartment is NOT suitable if you want to be within walking distance of the beach. Getting AroundYou can reach Livadhia from Larnaca center (bus stop close to the promenade) and vice versa, with blue bus number 422. There are routes to the town center and back approximately every hour. For practical reasons and due to the warm climate conditions, but also to discover and appreciate the beauties of Cyprus, renting a car is strongly advised. The distance from the Penthouse to the airport is approx. 15 minutes' drive, while the eastern tourist areas of Agia Napa and Protaras are 30 and 40 minutes' drive respectively. The other two main cities Limassol and Nicosia are both around 35 minutes' drive. Paphos is 90 minutes drive. I can easily provide you with additional details and even information material, based on your travel interests. Apartment is NOT suitable if you want to be within walking distance of the beach. The promenade also boasts a range of cosmopolitan restaurants and bars looking out onto the beach. Larnaca has an extensive array of shops and boutiques for all tastes including some British High Street Outlets. For those missing their latte, you can enjoy a coffee at Starbucks at the promenade! The city is located on the southern coast of Cyprus. It has a population of around 75,000 (2001) and it is the third largest city of Cyprus in terms of population. Larnaca holds a major international airport and the island's second most important commercial port. It has a nice marina for yachts and is an important tourist resort. The 'Phinikoudes' is Larnaca's main tourist attraction. This is a strip of cafes, bars, clubs and restaurants on the beach front which particularly gets crowded during the summer months. Larnaca is famous for its beautiful sea front. The city has an efficient tourist infrastructure, so enjoy the clean sandy beaches with clear blue waters and make this a holiday to remember. A visit to the Sunday Market on the Dekelia Road is an excellent way to spend the morning browsing the local products and getting a bargain or two to take back with you!!! The Larnaca salt-lakes near the international airport are split into two by the modern road linking Larnaca and Kiti. They have a total area of about 3.5 square kilometres and lie 2 metres below sea level attracting many species of migratory birds especially flamingoes and ducks whose presence lends great beauty to the idyllic environment ****Ayia Napa**** is at a 20 minute drive from Oriklini. Famous for its busy nightlife, but is also a great place to visit during the day with a family. It has a number of lovely beaches, as well as shops, cafes and restaurants, but we believe the main attraction is Waterworld, is reputed to be the largest in Europe, a fantastic Greek Mythology themed water park on the outskirts. ****Nicosia (Lefkosia)**** The only remaining divided city in the world, is 30 minutes away.It is a beautiful city, originally surrounded by Venetian walls, but has now far expanded them. You can visit the Cyprus Archaeological Museum, and absorb some of the history of Cyprus, or simply wander up and down the pedestrian cobbled streets, absorbing the atmosphere and perhaps enjoying an iced coffee on the way. It is the perfect place for a mid-holiday day trip. It is possible to cross to the occupied North of the island for the day. (Bring your passports). ****Troodos Mountains and Kykko Monastery**** The Troodos Mountains stretch across the centre of Cyprus and reached up to 1.952 meters at the highest point of Mount Olympus. Can be reached by between an hour and an hour and a half's drive, depending on where you go, and are perfect for walking or mountain biking. Well worth a day visit for its beautiful scenery, picturesque villages, waterfalls, monastery’s and nature trails. In the heat of summer it provides a pleasant cool break and of course in the winter (between January and March) there are ski slopes to venture out on. Skiing in the morning and a relaxing afternoon on the beach! What a pleasure! The Oroklini / Oroklini Village area Oroklini is a quiet rural village on the outskirts of Larnaca on the south-eastern Cyprus coast. It stretches from Oroklini hill to the beach in Larnaca Bay. Although Oroklini is a village, there is certainly no shortage of things to do in the area. Oroklini boasts over half a dozen authentic Greek tavernas selling delicious traditional dishes, including mezes, stifado, kleftiko and kebabs. Many restaurants and local bars offer live music and dancing and all have a lively, friendly atmosphere. The village also contains a variety of bars, bakeries, supermarkets (including a 24 hours mini market), restaurants, banks, post office, a town hall, churches, police, kids playgrounds and fire stations and a number of other stores. A small cluster of hills provide the back-drop to this stunning village. If you take the short drive or (for the more energetic) the pleasant hike to the top on one of these hills, you will find the small church of Profites Elias. From this vantage point you can see spectacular views of Larnaca bay to the front, fields and meadows to the rear and the surrounding villages of Pyla and Livadia to either side. On a clear day it is possible to see as far as Stavrovouni Monastery, the Salt Lakes at Larnaca and the Troodos Mountains. If you don't want to walk up the hill you can hire a 4x4, a mountain bike or quad bikes to drive up and around it. On the Mountain hills surrounding the village of Oroklini there is a BBQ area, with running water and toilet facilities. In the outskirts of the village there is a 1600 metre Go-kart track (it is great fun for all the family with a kiddie track and large restaurant, and is very reasonably priced), Water park, camel, horse and donkey rides. Bicycle hiring is available. The areas of Oroklini, Larnaca and Ayia Napa are popular for swimming, banana boats, pedalo, sailing, canoeing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, fly-surfing, windsurfing, scuba diving, snorkelling, and every type of water sport activity. In the winter months you can see the flamingo's in the Salt Lake along with many other migratory bird life. ***The welcome pack provides details of some of the activities mentioned and others such as archaeological sites, cinema, threatre, Seasonal festivals, clubs and bars.***

The house has 2 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, 1 main bathroom upstairs and toilet facilities downstairs. Downstairs is open planned with kitchen, living room and a dining table. Two large sliding doors when opened over see the large garden. Air condition facilities in the large bedroom and downstairs. Upstairs main bedroom has its own private veranda to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Kitchen has utilities including glasses, mugs, plates, cutlery etc. The home's large garden enables you to enjoy sitting outside and enjoy the weather. The house is situation in a private, gated community with only 20 or so other homes. The nearest beach is only approximately 5 minutes walk situated near Palm Beach Hotel. There is a field in front of the apartment and the apartment also benefits from having a sea view. It s less than 1km from the sea. The nearest Dhekelia beach is a mere 5-minutes drive, but the apartment complex has two inviting swimming pools, one of which is for children. This apartment is ideal for a single person or a couple of any age, who appreciates the beauty of nature in a quiet environment. It is also suited for a small family to go out during the day exploring this wonderful island, and come back to the apartment for a relaxing evening. There is a lift in the block and so it is suitable for wheelchair users. Bedding and bathroom towels are provided, but beach towels are not included. Free wifi - good for lone travellers/writers/family who wish to keep enjoy the tranquility of the peaceful surrounding, and at the same time to see what is going on in the world. It is within a five minutes walk to the beach and close to all amenities including a bakery, restaurants, shops and a pub. This villa is detached and situated on the corner of the road. It has 3 bedrooms on the second floor, one of which is ensuite. There is also a family bathroom on the second floor. The main bedroom and bedroom 2 have large double beds in each. The third bedroom has 2 single beds. On the first floor there is a large living room with a big sofa bed that can be used as another sleeping place. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area is also situated on the first floor. There is also a guest WC. Outside is a large terrace where you can enjoy a drink or meal overlooking the private pool. Easy access to Larnaca town or Ayia Napa/Protaras. Car Rental can be arranged. LARNACA ATTRACTIONS There is plenty to see and do in Larnaca, which offers visitors the chance to relax in a gorgeous Mediterranean setting, and the opportunity to explore a number of impressive archaeological sites. The main attraction in Larnaca is the remains of the ancient city of Kition; visitors can see parts of the excavations and explore the ancient ruins on the lovely coastline. A number of exciting atrefacts from Kition are preserved in Larnaca's museums, the best of which are the Larnaca District Museum and the Larnaca Medieval Museum (located in the thrilling Larnaca fort). The city is truly rich in ancient history and a paradise for lovers of archaeology: just a little way outside of Larnaca visitors can explore the ruins and excavations of Choirokoitia, a Neolithic settlement dating back to 7000 BC and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Larnaca is also blessed with a number of significant religious institutions. The Church of Ayios Lazaros is a really special place to visit, with a richly decorated interior and a proud history. Another religious attraction in Larnaca is the Hala Sultan Tekke, a striking Muslim monument and mosque set in the beautiful Salt Lake landscape very close to the airport. The famous Stavrovouni Monastery makes for a great excursion from the city; it is the oldest monastery in Cyprus and is said to contain an important relic, a fragment of the Holy Cross. Getting AroundJust outside of the building, there is a bus stop with regular routes to the town of Larnaca. The airport is just 15 minutes drive by car or a bit longer, by bus. In less than ten minutes time by bus, you can be in Larnaca, a vibrant town, with many places of interest, all kinds of shops, restaurants, music halls, pups, cafes and nice beaches, for your leisure time during the day of the evening. Early in the morning, you can see the sun rising and in the evening, when is the period of a full moon, you can see the moon rising, illuminating the sea with a purple light, while braking the horizon, during their rising to the sky.                     This is a truly unique villa. It is spacious and tastefully furnished to a high standard and very well equipped. As you come in to the villa, you will first step into the large lounge. Here you will find a L-shaped sofa that comfortably seats 6 people, making this the perfect spot for relaxing times indoors in front of the tv or perhaps snuggled up reading a book. Make your way from the lounge to the modern kitchen which boasts windows on 3 sides making it light and sunny. You will find that it is very well equipped with all things to ensure your holiday is a comfortable one, here you will find items such as dish washer, washing machine, tumble drier, micro wave, toaster & kettle. The dining area seats 4 people and the large counter space invite you to easily prepare meals together while looking out over the garden and pool area. In the kitchen there is also a door leading out onto the veranda that goes all the way round from the front of the house, making this a lovely place to perhaps enjoy your coffee in the mornings. A marble stair case lead from the lounge up to the second floor where all the bedrooms are located. The master bedroom is overlooking the garden & pool area and all three bedroom have comfortable double beds and are homely furnished and have plenty of closet space. The master bedroom has an en suite with shower, the family bathroom has a bath tub and there is also a cloak room halfway up to the second floor. This upper floor has a nice size veranda overlooking the quiet street and fields in the distance. A staircase from the groundfloor level lead downstairs to the door through to the lovely pool area and garden. The kidney shaped pool is the centre of this space and here is also where you will find a stone bbq inviting you to al fresco dining in the evening as the sun set in the distance. The whole of this area is secluded by hibiscus hedges.
