This immaculate newly built; Nova Scotia Cottage is bright and airy with great ocean views. Decorated with fishing memorabilia, this cottage pays homage to the Nova Scotia fisherman's way of life. Downstairs there is a casual living area and an open plan kitchen and dining room that are great for entertaining. Upstairs features a large family room with view of the ocean. The house sleeps 4 in two bedrooms. Downstairs is the master bedroom with a queen size bed, chest of drawers and plenty of closet space. While upstairs you will find a second bedroom with two twin beds, as well as a second 3-piece washroom. There is a four-piece bathroom on the main floor. The cottage is also equipped with a washer and dryer. Bed linens and towels are provided. Other amenities include: a propane BBQ, wifi and a wood fireplace.

A large wooden deck takes advantage of the ocean view and is the perfect place to watch the sun set while breathing in the salt air and listening to the sound of the waves. To truly experience the Nova Scotia way of life, take to the waters in your own rowboat and try your hand at fishing. It's an experience you won't soon forget!

Driving distances are about 20 minutes to Barrington or Shelburne; approximately 2.75 hours to the Halifax airport and 1 hour to the ferry terminal in Yarmouth.

Slateville Cottage has a one week SATURDAY TO SATURDAY rental period during the peak season (July and August) and three night minimum rental period during the shoulder seasons.Slateville Cottage has a SATURDAY TO SATURDAY rental period.

Non-refundable Damage Waiver fee of $45 on all bookings

To secure your vacation rental, a deposit of $500.00 CDN per week and the damage deposit waiver fee are due upon booking. Your booking is not confirmed until this deposit has been received. The balance of the rental fee is due 90 days prior to your arrival. Payment can be made either by Email Transfer, Visa, MasterCard or personal cheque in Canadian Dollars.Slateville Cottage is located on the Blanche peninsula overlooking Eel Bay on Nova Scotia's famous Lighthouse Coast. Approximately 30 km east of the historic Loyalist town of Shelburne and 30 km west of Barrington Passage, the cottage is situated on a scenic oceanfront property with direct access to the bay. Its less than 100 meters from the cottage deck to the waters edge.Damage Deposit Waiver Fee:

We require a $45 non-refundable Damage Deposit Waiver Fee for all reservations in lieu of charging an additional $500 security deposit to the property rental rate. This privilege is offered to you as our way of saying thank you for your business. The waiver covers all minor accidental damage or breakage up to $500. Coverage does not cover extraordinary cleaning charges, damage resulting from negligence or willful or wanton conduct or damage by a pet (in those properties that allow pets). Guests must notify the Sandy Lane Enterprises Ltd. at once of any damage during occupancy and submit a written report or the Damage Waiver is void. For reservations of which the rental amount is over $2500 weekly, an additional refundable security deposit may be required.
