The SpaceThe house is situated in outskirts of Newton Abbot in the beautiful rural area, surrounded by endless fields and close to Dartmoor national park. Interaction with GuestsCurrently there are two women and one man living at the property, all professionals. There is also a friendly dog and cat in the house. The NeighborhoodThe easiest way is to type TQ126NH in a (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map for better overview. IMPORTANT! Currently there are some road works around: If you are coming via A38 from Exeter make sure you go towards Newton Abbot via A380 and then via Newton Abbot onto A383 towards Plymouth. When you are on A383 turn right to Howton Lane. If you are coming from Plymouth towards Exeter then turn right onto A383 and after 10 minutes left onto Howton Lane. Detailed location will be provided after booking is confirmed. Getting AroundThe best to go around is by car. There is a train station (URL HIDDEN) and a bus station in Newton Abbot. Only 20 min to a lovely Dartmoor, 40 minutes to Plymouth, 20 minutes to Torquay and only 1.5 hours to Newquay - surfing destination. Other Things to NoteThere is no TV in the lounge. The area is well covered with mobile phone signal.

The SpaceOur beautiful cottages on Dartmoor are thoroughly charming and a haven of tranquility. We have one cottage and one barn available, each is suitable for couples and babes-in-arms up to a year old. Unfortunately we don't accept pets, as we have our own four legged friends, Holly & Scruff, our farm dogs. Lurcombe's Farm ‘Mill’ & Flour Store & the Granary Barn was built in 1851 and has been lovingly converted into 5*, living accommodation, suitable for couples, with all the contemporary features you would expect from a ‘premier’ cottage, whilst still maintaining bags of character. Guest AccessYou will be totally self contained and have use of Tennis court and the estate... Interaction with GuestsWe'll meet you on arrival or leave the key in the door and catch up later... The NeighborhoodWe are located in Dartmoor National Park, the coast is nearby too, it's gorgeous... The SpaceGuests have the upper part of the Old Chapel, with a light & spacious sitting room, and a dining room of their own, and a view of the old village and Church. At present I m offering one room, but may offer another in the high season, which would also be en-suite. It is located on the edge of Dartmoor, with good walks & cycling , & access to many places of interest. Guest AccessGuests have their own bedroom & en-suite, and sitting room with TV, video and selection of DVDs. There is a small selection of books about walks around the local area. Downstairs they have a separate dining area with their own small fridge stocked with a selection of teas, coffee & milk at all times, plus all they need for a continental breakfast. Guests need to be aware that there is a mezzanine feature with a drop, so this is not really suitable for children. Parking is limited to one car. Interaction with GuestsI will be there during my guests stay to welcome them and help make their stay enjoyable. Everyone has their own ideas of what they are looking for, and if I would make suggestions according to their interests. The NeighborhoodIts very quiet here, we get as many horses along the lane as cars! Yet from the high vantage of the sitting room, you see everything passing below you. Its s great spot for quiet time to relax,and yet its close to many things:- moor, sea, a day out horse-racing, Dartington, Totnes, and not far from Exeter & Plymouth. Getting AroundGetting here does depend on you having a car. Its easily accessible from the A38, between Exeter and Plymouth. Parking is limited to one car.

Enclosed, rose-filled, terraced cottage garden with far-reaching views across the Teign Valley, steps leading to lovely private seating areas (tables/chairs) and a little thatched summer house. The NeighborhoodBickington is a small village on the edge of the Moor. It's close to the A38 and near Ashburton, which has everything you'd need, including the renowned Ashburton Cookery School. Pubs and restaurants are only a short drive away (including our sister restaurant & café, Home Farm). Getting AroundIt's advisable to bring a car. We are about 10/15 minutes from Newton Abbot Train Station and there is a bus stop about half a mile from the Barn. With wonderful views over Dartmoor and situated within South Devon countryside, this stunning complex of barn conversions (Refs HHHX and HHHW) was once part of the Stover Estate. Converted in early 2008 in a contemporary style and equipped to a high standard, with the addition of modern day comforts, they make the perfect place for couples, families and larger parties wishing to holiday together. They offer wonderful all year round accommodation, with each cottage boasting its own patio area, with garden furniture and barbecue. Once a working farm and an old miniature railway site, Gorse Blossom Farm has some 40 acres, where guests can wander around at their leisure and which offers a haven for wildlife, including birds of prey, badgers and the lesser horseshoe bat, which has made its home here. An all weather surface tennis court will keep children and adults entertained. Being close to the A38 makes this the perfect place from which to explore South Devon, Torquay (with its sandy beaches, 12 miles) and Plymouth, 25 miles (to see the Hoe, the Barbican, the National Marine Aquarium which is ideal for children and adults). The Eden Project (approximately 1½ hours drive) is a fabulous day out. Crealy Adventure Park is 20 miles. Exeter has a magnificent cathedral and quay, whilst a boat trip can be taken up the river to two stunning pubs. There are many villages to explore and stop off for a Devon cream tea. Dartmoor is on the doorstep, with its stunning scenery and heather clad rocky tors and ponies, and is a walkers’ paradise at any time of year, with Becky Falls (rocks and waterfalls), 8 miles. Being close to the A38 makes this the perfect place from which to explore South Devon, Torquay (with its sandy beaches, 12 miles) and Plymouth, 25 miles (to see the Hoe, the Barbican, the National Marine Aquarium which is ideal for children and adults). The Eden Project (approximately 1½ hours drive) is a fabulous day out. Crealy Adventure Park is 20 miles. Exeter has a magnificent cathedral and quay, whilst a boat trip can be taken up the river to two stunning pubs. There are many villages to explore and stop off for a Devon cream tea. Dartmoor is on the doorstep, with its stunning scenery and heather clad rocky tors and ponies, and is a walkers’ paradise at any time of year, with Becky Falls (rocks and waterfalls), 8 miles. Paignton not only has more sandy beaches, but also a famous zoo. Visit the South Hams, taking in Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmouth. Go the other direction and take in the Jurassic Coast, or visit Beer, Branscombe and Seaton to take a ride on the Seaton Tramway.
