The SpaceWe feature one guest room with private entrance, bathroom with shower, deck with mountain view, sitting area, satellite TV, Keurig coffee maker and mini fridge. Since 1995 we operated as a bed and breakfast but downsized for retirement to one guest room. Many of our guests returned every year, enjoying the comfort of our facility, our exceptional hospitality and service, as well as our knowledge of fishing the area! Our facility was featured in the April 2005 issue of Fly Rod & Reel and noted in The Wall Street Journal's "Off the Beaten Track" (June 21 2005), as where to stay when fishing in Montana, and has been listed or featured in many other publications. Guest AccessGuests have an outside deck with garden and mountain view. Guests may keep beverages and limited snacks in their room fridge. No food preparation is allowed in the room, however, there are many good restaurants just minutes from our lodging. Interaction with GuestsHosts enjoy occasional interaction with their guests as their time allows. The NeighborhoodWe are located south of Livingston at the head of Paradise Valley. Our elevation is about 4,700 feet. We are within minutes to Armstrong, DePuy and Nelson Spring Creeks, the Yellowstone River and within a day trip to Yellowstone National Park. We have beautiful views of the jagged snow capped peaks of the Absarokas, Gallatin Range and the Crazy Mountains. This is the epitome of Big Sky Country! Livingston has fine restaurants and many galleries, antique shops and other activities for non- fishers. Other Things to NoteSmoking is allowed outdoors on decks only. No pets. Licensed by the Montana Dept. of Health & Human Services.

The SpaceWelcome to the “Little Box on the Prairie”. This unique, modern house is made from two recycled shipping containers, situated on 10-acres of rolling prairie, just North of Livingston Montana. It’s a 700 square-foot mix of rustic coziness and clean, modern design. Many of the finishes such as the redwood flooring and plywood wall panels were salvaged off site, recycled and reused. The outside deck is perfect for chatting over morning coffee, an evening glass of wine, gazing at the Absaroka Mountains and likely spotting a deer or antelope. The house comfortably sleeps 2, and potentially a 3rd can sleep on the sofa upon request. While in the country, you’re only 15 minutes from historic downtown Livingston, making it easy to go shopping, find a great restaurant or take in a few art galleries. And if you want to drive 20 miles West, you’ll find plenty to do in the vibrant town of Bozeman, home to Montana State Universtiy. Guest AccessAside from one private closet, guests have access to everything. I would just ask that common sense be used and to be respectful of personal belongings. Interaction with GuestsI'm happy to interact as much or as little as you want. I'm out of town fairly often for work, but someone will always be available for help or answering questions as needed. The NeighborhoodThe area is surrounded by soft, rolling hills of prairie grass, with mountain views in each direction. It is a quiet location and perfect if you just want to read, take a walk, nap, relax and unwind. Area attractions include: The Yellowstone River, Yellowstone National Park, Chico Hot Springs, Museum of the Rockies, Paradise Valley, Bridger Bowl and Big Sky Ski Resorts, Lewis and Clark Caverns, Little Bighorn National Monument, Montana State University, among many others. If nature and outdoor recreation is your thing, you will never run out of terrain to explore. Getting AroundThis is rural living, so a car is needed. While not mandatory, a 4-wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle is recommended if traveling during the winter months or you plan on tackling some mountain back-roads. Other Things to NoteAmenities include: Mosaic-tiled, walk-in shower, outdoor shower, fully equipped kitchen with island, living room, bedroom with queen bed, flat-screen tv with Netflix (among other streaming options), Blu Ray/DVD player, sound system, Wi-Fi, wood stove, well-stocked bookshelves and an outdoor fire pit. My homeowner's insurance now requires me to have guests sign and short-term rental agreement before checkout. I'm happy to share this agreement with you so you can review the terms prior to booking.

The SpaceDream... Reflect... Relax...and get a bigger & better view on life and the world! Crafted from handpeeled, Swedish Cope logs in the year 2000, Blue Moon Cabin is a wonderful Montana vacation rental, especially suited for two people. Blue Moon Cabin features beautiful decks that overlook the forested hills surrounding the cabin with views of the Bridger and Absaroka Mountains in the distance. A Hot Springs hot tub sits on the back deck in a very private, forested setting. This secluded, yet accessible location, makes Blue Moon Cabin a great base for creating your Montana vacation experience. Close to Bozeman and Livingston, both towns offer a unique blend of small town hospitality, great restaurants, art galleries, museums and local history. (See our things to do page for more information.) Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire cabin, to acres and acres off forested property for hiking, biking, snowshoeing, etc. The cabin has full amenities, except for a washer/dryer. Interaction with GuestsIn general, I am a very private person! I try to provide the maximum privacy possible for my guests. When I am home, I am usually available for questions or a chat, and I love meeting people from different areas of the world. I do travel quite a bit, so am frequently not here, but there is always someone close by who can answer questions or help out with any issues if I am away. In short, I would say, if guests want interaction, I will be there. If not, I leave them alone. The NeighborhoodI love living in the mountains with the beautiful view of Montana's big sky. The fresh air, the peace and quiet, the beauty... Other Things to NoteIn Winter, Spring and Fall, a four wheel drive or AWD vehicle will most likely be necessary. In the Winter, especially, 4WD is (URL HIDDEN) the shoulder seasons, it mostly depends on Montana's very fickle weather.

The SpaceSkyArbor Guest Cabin started out as a retreat and recreational cabin created by Paul Seastrand in 1984. While continuing for that purpose, additions to the building and property steadily advanced. Family and friends especially enjoyed the dramatic views of weather and sky, and the nearby availability of hiking, hunting, fishing, and sightseeing. In 2003, Paul and Susan made room in the calendar for its use as a Guest Cabin, and advertised this opportunity to others through their own website ((URL HIDDEN) Vacation Rentals By Owner,((URL HIDDEN) and Visit Montana ((URL HIDDEN) Guests enjoying the beauty and amenities of SkyArbor often return, and Paul and Susan keep the door open for those who seek comfortable lodging within a setting of serenity and panorama. Historic cabins tucked in the beautiful West Boulder Valley. Two bedroom main cabin and an additional sleeping cabin with bathroom. Sweeping views of the West Boulder Valley and up into the mountains. The main cabin has wireless Internet access. This property has a 5 night minimum stay. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: These lovingly restored antique log cabins are tucked away in the West Boulder River Valley South of Big Timber, where they enjoy outstanding views of the nearby Absaroka Mountains. The main cabin and sweet guest cottage look quite rustic but are, in fact, polished and comfortable. The renowned Montana builder Terry Baird paid great attention to the details that make a cabin special. He built this as a retreat for his own family – so it received extra TLC. (You can see photos of these cabins and others that Terry has built in the book Old Wood New House.) The workmanship is first rate and the cabins are nicely decorated. It's a great spot for anyone who loves to hike, fish and see wildlife, and it’s also a tranquil & comfy retreat in the heart of some of Montana's prettiest country! BEDROOMS AND BATHS: There are two bedrooms in the main cabin and one in the guest cottage. The main cabin has a bedroom on the main floor with one double bed and upstairs there is a bedroom with three twin beds. The main cabin has a bathroom on the main level with an antique claw foot tub and a hand-held shower as well as a Maytag stacked washer & dryer. The upstairs bedroom has a sink. The guest cabin is a nice bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom with a stall shower. KITCHEN: This kitchen is made to look very rustic, but it’s just built that way. The electric range looks like an old wood cook stove and the refrigerator is hidden behind custom cabinetry. The kitchen is additionally appointed with an electric juicer, coffee maker, toaster oven, blender, food processor, small microwaver & rice cooker. DINING AREA: The sun porch, just off the living room and kitchen, is a great place to enjoy meals and the views. The table seats six comfortably and there’s another table just a few steps away in the living room that will seat four more. If the weather is nice, we bet you’ll be enjoying all of your meals out on the front porch. LIVING ROOM: This is a cozy spot to read or watch movies after a day of exploring. There is a small stereo with CD player and a TV with DVD player for movie watching (no TV reception) and wireless Internet access. The living room also has a card table and a beautiful writing desk. SETTING, ACREAGE, AND VIEWS: The cabins sit on one private acre but it looks like hundreds, as you are surrounded by wide open vistas and there’s not another home in sight. All of the surrounding property is part of a large privately held conservation area. OUTDOOR AMENITIES: Each cabin has a nice front porch and the one on the main cabin is a great spot for morning coffee, evening cocktails and meals at the table. The cabins have a gas barbecue grill and there is a horseshoe pit in the yard. ACTIVITIES NEARBY: Enjoy fishing on the three branches of the Boulder River as well as the Yellowstone River and other nearby blue ribbon trout fisheries, amazing hiking in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, rafting on nearby rivers, guided horseback riding, a visit to Yellowstone National Park (about 2 hours away) and exploring the nearby towns of Livingston and Big Timber. There's so much to do! CLOSEST TOWN AND AIRPORT: You’re just over an hour from Bozeman’s Gallatin Field Airport. It's about 12 miles to McLeod, with a post office and a local watering hole, the "Roadkill Café”. It's about a one half hour drive to both Livingston and Big Timber with grocery stores and restaurants. Additional amenities include: secluded, on 1-5 acres, no cell phone service, no dishwasher, no microwave, no TV reception, no air conditioning, washer & dryer, considered with approval & fee. Rates shown are for stays of 7 nights. Please inquire for nightly rates if staying less than a week. This home has a 5-night stay minimum. Rates subject to change.
