Other Things to NoteA travel cot and highchair are available upon request. Bedroom 1 has feather pillows and duvet. If you have an allergy please let us know and we can swap these for you. A cosy hideaway, formerly a barn attached to our farmhouse. Nestled in a peaceful rural location in the Teifi Valley. Feel at home & wander freely around our 10 acres of magical wilderness soaking up the beautiful views. Originally a working farm, it was neglected for some years and it is now our smallholding which we are lovingly restoring with every available minute and penny! Recently refurbished we provide all you need for a comfortable stay in a beautiful setting. Ideal for couples or a small family, the main bedroom has a comfy kingsize bed, the 2nd bedroom has two good sized single beds (a travel cot and highchair are available on request). There is a large bathroom with double shower, cosy lounge with Free Sat TV, DVD player and iPod/iPhone docking system and quirky kitchen stocked with all essentials including tea, coffee, home baked bread and our own eggs. Perfect for nature lovers you can chillout with our free range animals in the courtyard or explore our wilderness and discover secret resting places in which to relax and unwind. Read a good book next to the bubbling stream, swing in a hammock whilst taking in the view across the valley and spot our wide range of resident wildlife from hedgehogs to buzzards and tawny owls. Guest Access As well as The Annex you will have exclusive use of the courtyard which comes equipped with table, chairs and BBQ. There is also ample parking a few meters away from The Annex. You are welcome to roam our land but please bear in mind that it really is a wilderness and as our name suggests (Llechwedd Hen meaning old hillside/slope) although the house and immediate surrounding area are quite level we are perched on the side of the Teifi Valley and most of our land is uneven and sloping. Interaction with Guests We live in the attached house and although we both work one of us is always available if you have any problems, questions or if you just want a chat! - you will, of course, have complete privacy if you do not require us. The Neighbourhood Llanwenog is a small village with a 13th Century church which is the most complete medieval church in Ceredigion. The Annex is an excellent base to explore the many local attractions as well as providing a secluded oasis in which to hibernate. We are surrounded by farmland and beautiful views across the Teifi Valley, yet only 30 mins drive away from a selection of stunning beaches which cater for all needs from dolphin and seal spotting to rock pools and sand. There are many activities on offer too for all ages from walking, fishing and cycling to castles, farm experiences and theme parks! Please visit our website for more information on what is on offer in our local area. Getting Around A car is essential for getting around and the most out of your trip, however if you are just looking to get away from it all for the weekend we are happy to pick you up and drop you off at our nearest train station, Carmarthen (around 40 mins drive) at an additional charge of ÂŁ10 per journey. Our nearest village is Llanybydder (5 mins drive), which has a Londis open until 10pm where you will find essentials and it also has a few takeaways. For more of a selection of shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants the university town of Lampeter is 10-15mins drive and New Castle Emlyn 30 mins drive, although a bit further away is well worth a visit with lots of interesting boutique shops and cafes serving scrumptious food. Other Things to Note A travel cot and highchair are available upon request. Bedroom 1 has feather pillows and duvet. If you have an allergy please let us know and we can swap these for you. Please note that you have to pass through bedroom 2 to access the bathroom and the two single beds are not able to be pushed together due to the room layout. Towels are not supplied and we ask you to bring your own. Unfortunately we do not get any O2 mobile signal here and mobile signal inside the house is limited due to the thick stone walls. The nearest A&E; is in Carmarthen, 40 mins drive, although there is an ambulance station in Lampeter 10 mins drive. The nearest Doctors' surgery is Llanybydder 5 mins drive. Please also be aware: A well behaved dog is welcome but they must stay downstairs in The Annex (stair gate provided) and be on a lead at all times in the courtyard as our animals roam around freely. You are fully responsible for supervising your children, babies & dog in your care. Please leave the property clean and in the same condition that it was on your arrival. There is no smoking in The Annex, although an ashtray is provided in the courtyard. Please close all gates as our dog and ducks, aka the assassins, like to go for a wander at every opportunity. Please be aware that you explore our land at your own risk. There are natural hazards, a stream and pond, potholes, trips, branches, poisonous plants, animals, and it is your responsibility to be aware of these.
