The SpaceBhumi Cottage is an Eco Rammed Earth Cottage that facilitates up to 5 people. The cottage consists of two large joining rooms with a full bathroom, bamboo flooring, ceiling fans, and a large covered porch complete with an out-door kitchenette, coy pond, aquaponics pond and grow beds. One room is equipped with a King and a single bed, the second with one Queen bed. It is surrounded by fruit trees and shrubs and has a magnificent view to the east.
Meals and Menus
With an additional fee of 420 THB per day you’ll enjoy three daily buffet-style meals as well as fruit and freshly made Ayurvedic teas in the Lemongrass restaurant. You’ll enjoy regional Thai cuisine made by our Isaan chefs using local and home-grown ingredients. Guests have given us rave reviews about the delicious food we offer. Whenever possible we use organic vegetables from our own gardens, as well as from local farms. We avoid using processed foods and animal products from factory farms as much as possible. As our level of sustainability increases, we use more of our own fish, chicken and goats for meat, as well as making products like cheese, jams, juices and herbs. If you prefer vegetarian meals or if you have any food allergies please let us know prior to your arrival.
The lemongrass restaurant is a great space for guests to dine in, relax, chat, watch movies and work on individual projects. It is a beautiful spacious area with a comfortable lounge and TV area, the Yogi bakery and coffee shop which offers fresh coffees and homemade desserts, an electronic recharging stations, free wifi, work desks, and a store with the essential items.

The NeighborhoodThe center’s 50 acres of rolling hills are dotted with ponds, gardens, fruit-bearing trees, and native flora and fauna. The terrain includes gentle rolling hills with rich, abundant and diversified plant life. The three large ponds are teaming with aquatic life such as frogs, turtles, fish, fresh water prawns, and water vegetables. The property has large food gardens around the kitchen and dining hall, as well as a growing aquaponics system. The use of chemicals has been banned on the property since 2006. Testing has shown that all of Trika Eco Resort’s soil has been free of any toxic chemicals since 2010. The land is slowly being transformed into a “food forest” and since its purchase in 2006, over 6,000 flowering, nitrogen fixing, fruit, nut, and medicinal trees have been planted. Buses depart from Bangkok to Phu Ruea several times a day. They go from Mo Chit bus station near Chatuchak Park in Bangkok.
Getting to Bangkok’s Mo Chit bus station:
By BTS / MRT
Get off at the BTS / MRT stop MoChit. From there you’lll need to take a short taxi ride to the bus terminal Cost: B20 B40 for the BTS/ MRT. Plus B5070B for the taxi.
Taxi from the airport
Bangkok has two airports. Don Mueng is near Mor Chit bus station both are on the north side of the city. Suvarnabhumi is South East of the city centre – so you’ll have to cut across the city to get to the bus station. Bear in mind Bangkok’s crazy rush hour when planning your ride. Rush hour often extends from 7am to 10am and 3:30pm until about 7:30pm.
Cost: Taxi is B250 B500, from Suvarnabhumi depending on traffic and toll road fees. Should be cheaper from Don Mueng airport. Ensure the taxi driver uses the meter.

Why choose this company? Phu Ruea is the last stop so you can’t miss it. The bus makes few stops, there’s aircon and reclining seats.
Booking your ticket: You may be able to call the bus company the the day before to hold your seat, and then come to the ticket office at least 1 hour before the bus leaves to buy your ticket. Or you can book ahead in person. Go to the lower floor of MoChit bus terminal and find ticket booth number 41 and 42.

Getting to us from Phu Ruea
The town of Phu Ruea is 14 km Northeast of our center. Buses will drop you at the central town market, off of Highway 203. The town market is a safe place to stop and has a lively market that opens early.
Please email or call us to arrange for a taxi pickup from Phu Ruea at least 24 hours in advance. Due to recent problems with guests not arriving on previously scheduled buses, we now ask for a second confirmation prior to boarding your bus. Once we receive this second confirmation we will notify the taxi driver of your confirmed arrival.
When you get off the bus, look out for someone holding a sign saying “Kailash Akhara” or "Trika Eco Resort". And please don’t wait until you arrive before you book a taxi or you could be waiting a long time for your ride.
Travel time: 20 minutes
Cost: 300 baht if arriving between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. 500 baht if arriving outside of these normal business hours. Payment can be given directly to the taxi driver.
Tip: if you know some Thai you can ask the bus conductor to drop you off at the village of Khok Pho, just before Phu Ruea. Khok Pho is only 6km from us. But let us know you’re doing this to avoid confusion.
Coming by plane
Nok Air (URL HIDDEN) runs regular nonstop flights from Bangkok to Loei city.
Flights: DD9708 service leaves Don Mueang International Airport for Loei Airport at 13:00 every day
Travel time: about 1 hour 5 minutes
Cost: Varies but can be around B2000.
Airport pick up from Loei Airport
Please email us your flight details 24 hours before you come, and we will book you a taxi. When you’re leaving the arrivals hall, look out for someone holding a sign saying Kailash Akhara or Trika Eco Resort.
