It's only 15 minutes drive from Heathrow Airport and 5 minutes from the M4 motorway, which can take you into or around London on the A406. It takes only 15 minutes to reach the West End, and also gives guests a better quality of neighbourhood, space, quiet, and civilised sophisticated living. This is London Quality Living. The house has a Genuine Wow factor! Designer finish throughout, its quiet, very very spacious, excellently finished and a great showpiece property. There are two large living rooms with high ceilings, and very comfortable indeed. There is a large fully fitted stylish kitchen, large and dramatic master bedroom (super king size) with a full room for dressing room, plus a massive and spectacular bathroom. The second bedroom (king size) is very large also and has its own stylish ensuite. Two further full size double rooms, and stylish new bathroom. Underfloor and central heating, all modern finish to very high standards. Free parking at front and rear. Wifi, TV etc... This is a spectacular house, just read the reviews, and you'll see why people keep saying they don't want to leave! Guest Access5 min walk to tube (district line). Getting AroundLondon Heathrow is a 20 minute taxi ride, and the underground will take you to to: From the closest underground station (a nice 10 minutes walk) you can take the District line into central London (15-20 minutes ride depending on location) and reach South Kensington (for the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum and Harrods), Sloane Square for Chelsea and Kings Road (famous shopping area). Or take the Piccadilly Line at Hammersmith and get out at Piccadilly, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, etc.. Chiswick railway station is a beautiful 5 minutes walk and trains from this station take you to the Wenstminster area in approx 15 to 20 min. From there you get to Waterloo Station which is the perfect place to visit the London Eye, London Aquarium, Big Ben and walk to South Bank. A bus stop to central London (190) is 1 minute away and is very convenient and fast. Other Things to NoteWe provide towels, linens, pillows, covers so you don't have to bring your own. It's a family house and there are lots of toys available and also single and double strollers in case you want to travel light and leave yours at home! It would suit a family perfectly.

There are lots of pubs, bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets there. The river Thames is a five minute walk away. Enjoy a pint of beer on the river bank, watching the rowers. There's a local supermarket and coin laundry two minutes from the house. Getting AroundGreat transport links... free parking, walking distance to three tube stations, a train station and 24-hr bus transport. Driving: Easy access to M4 and M3 motorways. Heathrow airport is 15 minutes away. Tube: Turnham Green (zone 2), Gunnersbury (zone 3), Chiswick Park (zone 3). Train: Chiswick Train Station. IMPORTANT: Sound travels well in these old Victorian townhouses and other guests and neighbours do hear everything, so after 9.30pm please keep noise and talking in the rooms to a minimum. Please be respectful of the house and neighbourhood, it would be a shame if I get complaints and I needed to let Airbnb know about any incidents that occur.     The NeighborhoodThe flat is located in a gorgeous, buzzing area of Chiswick. It is very centrally located, less than 10 minutes walk from Turnham Green tube station, and a stroll away from all the shops and restaurants you could possibly need! The most serene part of the river Thames is just a 10 minute walk away where there are lots of lovely pubs and great views. The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew are just 2 stops away by tube and make for a great day out. If you fancy a bit of exercise then you can walk all the way there along the river from the flat but be prepared - it takes about 1:15! Getting AroundTurnham Green tube on the District line is less than 10 minutes walk away. Heathrow Airport is about 35 minutes away by tube and even less by car/taxi (outside of rush hour!). From Gatwick, you can catch the Gatwick Express train to Victoria and then the district line from Victoria will take you all the way to Turnham Green in about 25 minutes. There is on-street parking at the flat but this is pay-and-display.

The High Road is a buzz of activity, local coffee shops, pubs and restaurants cater to every taste. The property sits a minute away from the river Thames where you can find interesting places to eat and drink. The Black Lion, Old Ship and Dove are all great places. Many celebrities live in Chiswick and can been seen in the local shops, restaurants and parks. I live a few minutes from Chiswick House and Hogarth House, historic places of interest and Kew Gardens is a short bus ride away. Getting AroundMy house is only 15 minutes away from Heathrow Airport and 5 minutes away from Turnham Green and Stamford Brook underground station. District Line trains will take you to Central London and Heathrow Airport. A very convenient bus service will take you to Chelsea, Notting Hill Gate, Kensington Gardens, Buckingham Palace and many more exciting places. The 237 bus will take you directly to the famous Westfield Centre, for shopping, food and entertainment. Other Things to NoteThe price is for one or two people, a third person will pay an extra (£25). This room is not available over the Christmas and New Year period, 20th December to 6th January. I have a lovely dog who might wish to say hello to guests although he will only enter your room if you ask him to.

We have a house cat who does not like to move away from her home or to travel with us so we have found her to be very independently staying at our home in and out of her "cat flap " door she stays out all night and comes in to eat in the morning -then sleeps most of the day,,she is very shy of new people so will stay clear ..I can have a neighbour come in to feed her or my guests may choose to feed her them selves ..of course I leave masses of food for her in the house . We expect the house to be treated with up-most care and respect-it is our home -not a hotel !     The SpaceThis is a converted flat in a Victorian house. It is small but has a great and colourful personality. Friends and visitors I had always felt at home here and the best comment they have made is that it is very warm and welcoming. There is greenery outside that you will see from the big sash windows at the front and back of the flat. If that was not enough I also have lovely plants inside ... a couple of them with names! The bedroom has a king size bed. My flat has an old charm and is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy. I would be more than happy to provide you with more details on the property, the area, and the main attractions in and around London. Guest AccessGuests can use the fridge, washing machine, stove with oven, waffle maker and all cutlery and kitchen paraphernalia. The NeighborhoodChiswick is a rather tranquil area and the room is certainly quiet and peaceful. The Thames river is 10-15 minutes walk from the flat and there are 4-5 pubs along the river in this area. Go for a stroll at the end of the day to watch the sunset, it's lovely. The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew are only 15 minutes away. You can also walk from the flat along Chiswick High Road towards the East. Within a minute you will have a news agent/small shop, hairdresser, drycleaning service, greasy spoon cafe ideal to get your English Breakfast! Within 5 minutes you will have pubs, restaurants, pizza shop, cafe, more news agents, hair dressers, dry cleaners and a rather nice Fish & Chips shop unmissable if you are a first timer in this island! Turnham Green is just there with its church and park ... I won't tell you more so you can discover it once you are here! Getting AroundHeathrow is 45 minutes away by tube or tube + bus H91. Gunnersbury is a couple of minutes from the flat served by tube and overground. The buses stopping a few metres from the flat are: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) and night buses N9 and N27 stop a few minutes from the flat and might come in handy if arriving or leaving very late at night or very early in the morning. Other transport links in the area: Kew Bridge rail station or Chiswick Park tube station (District Line to Ealing Broadway) are 15 mins walk from the flat. If you want to travel cheap in London go by bus. Bus 27 will takes you all the way to Camden Town, passing by High Street Kensington and Notting Hill on its way. Bus 94 starting point is 10-15 minutes from the flat and takes you all the way to Central London, Marble Arch and Oxford Street. I have at home and for you to use bus maps, London street map, London Time Out guide and miscellaneous maps you might find useful during your stay.     The SpaceOur home has been lovingly restored to provide contemporary living in a traditional Victorian setting. The ground floor has an open plan living area with a fully fitted modern kitchen, living area with large L shaped sofa and dining area seating 6. The house sleeps 4 adults (in 2 double beds) and one child (in a 70x160cm junior bed). On the first floor there is a main double bedroom and a small bedroom (with the junior bed). The main bathroom serves the first floor, whilst the top floor loft bedroom has a double bed plus it's own en suite toilet and sink. The NeighborhoodStrand on the Green is a historic neighbourhood in the heart of West London, offering a wide choice of local gastropubs and restaurants within walking distance of our home. It is also very close to the amenities of Chiswick (10 mins drive), Kew (10 mins walk) and Richmond (10 mins drive). Getting AroundKew Bridge mainline station is less than 10 minutes walk from the house, offering a regular service into London Waterloo. Also within 10 minutes walk is Gunnersbury underground station which is on the District Line into central London. The flat is close by the River Thames in Chiswick. You will have good bus routes to central London from the end of the road. Chiswick realway is just 5 minuts walk and will take you to Waterloo - South Bank aria.From ther just by crossing the Waterloo bridge you are in Covent Garden and then on to Soho. Richmond ( by bus) and Kew Gardens are about a 20 minute walk away.The flat is very close to Heathrow Airport (20 minute drive or direct Tube line 20 minuts from Hammersmith). Lovely, leafy river walks 5 minute away and 20 minutes on the tube to the shopping district Weastfeald and the museums of South Kensington.     The SpaceThe Gatehouse Apartment is situated in the historic grounds of the magnificent and tranquil Chiswick House and Gardens. The apartment overlooks a large privately manicured garden, which can be enjoyed by all. Recent renovations to the property provide a light and airy space, with large windows that overlook the garden from all rooms. The property is set up to accommodate 3 (plus crib) comfortably, or 4 guests with a pull out bed. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed dressed in spanish linen and a newly refurbished en-suite. The second bedroom is situated downstairs and can accommodate two single beds. There is a family bathroom with a shower and bathtub. The living space is open plan, and is showered in natural light. The kitchen is fully equipped for the chef in all of us. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the the entire space for the duration of their stay, along with use of the large manicured garden and a secure parking bay for a single car. Check in is usually 2.00pm & check out 11.00am but I will consider earlier check ins/outs if the flat is empty the preceeding night or following day & if this suits both parties. We are a 10 minute walk from Turnham Green Tube Station, and a 15 minute walk from the Chiswick mainline train station that whizzes you in to Waterloo (via Vauxhaul & Clapham Junction - both good connecting stops) in 25 minutes. There are also great bus connections that can take you all over London via the Chiswick High Road. And if driving is your preferred mode of transport, you are located on the A4 that leads you directly into Central London or Heathrow in around 20 minutes (traffic pending).
