Downstairs is a full kitchen, living area w/fireplace, guest room, bathroom and laundry room. Upstairs you'll feel like you are in a tree house with a studio/library that fully opens up to a screened in porch, then an open deck.
Great for those who appreciate nature, design and architecture (not to mention goats, chickens, and treehouses)! And also ideal for those who just want to get away and relax.

2 full bathrooms, one on each floor. The downstairs bath features floor to ceiling glass tiles and a floating vanity. Upstairs is a spacious and sleek spa bathroom with a walk around shower and 5 water outlets. Adequate storage space for long-term stays. Hair dryer, soap and shampoo are provided.
There are 2 bedrooms, one on each floor, and each has a queen-sized comfortable bed. The décor is simple and comfortable, with playful decorations. Each bedroom has a full closet so you can unpack and settle in.
Upstairs in the studio is a red daybed that reveals 2 twin-beds. This is a favorite spot for many guests to sleep! The floor to ceiling sliding door can be fully opened to the screened porch so you feel like you’re sleeping outside in the comfort of a home!
A modern yet comfortable and inviting place to relax, with a wall of windows facing a wooded area. Serene neutral palette with pops of color. Built in “barnyard” bench and wood burning fireplace encased in raw steel. Free stacks of firewood can be found all over the farm.
Located within kitchen and next to living area. Dining table seats six.
Large walk-in laundry room with a washer and dryer. Feel free to borrow a beach bag! Please bring your own beach towels.
We are very family friendly! Inside you will find lots of games and outside is nature’s playground. The “farm” is a fun place to explore and kids love meeting our goats and chickens!
Although the space is intended to sleep four adults, the house is spacious enough to comfortably sleep larger families with the 2 additional twin beds.
PARKING. There are 2 parking spots out front, please do not block my neighbors drive. If you have additional cars, park up along the hill towards the meadow.
Typical max. occupancy is 4, but up to 6 may be made upon request. Guest AccessYou'll have access to the labyrinth, garden, meadows, prairies, ponds and 5-miles of trails at Tryon Farm! Feel free to roam and enjoy our 5+ miles of marked trails. The house is fully equipped for cooking and entertaining.

Green homes are strategically placed among 170 acres, with over 120 acres of preserved, open land. Also on the farm is a restored barn, guest house, community garden, labyrinth and natural swimming pond (sorry, it's not available to renters).
You are close to everything - the beach, red arrow highway, wineries, restaurants and great MI towns like New Buffalo, Lakeside, and Three Oaks. I'm happy to make local recommendations and I also keep a binder at the house for additional info.
It's an easy, one-hour drive from Chicago. While a car is recommended, you can also get here from Chicago on the South Shore train. We are 1.5 miles from the Carol Street Station. Getting AroundFrom Chicago, the Southshore line runs from Millennium Park to the Carol Street Station which is 1.5 miles from the house. Amtrak runs from Chicago to New Buffalo (9 miles from the house). Other Things to NoteI request a 3-night minimum in the summer.
