The SpaceEnter the home of artists John and Mary, a historic brownstone in a quiet artist neighborhood, via our tree lined landmarked block, right into the garden through a dedicated entrance into your private en suite ground floor room. Our two cats Sprocket and Jasmina may greet you while perched on their cat ladder that takes them from the second floor to the garden.
We are one block from the Court Square Subway station for the G, E (Airport Airtrain), M and 7 trains and five blocks from Queens/Queensboro Plaza with the R, Q, M and N trains. We are only one stop (3 minutes) or a couple of stops from Manhattan or Brooklyn (depending on train line). We are 2 miles/3.2 kilometers to Manhattan, 2.5 mile/4 kilometer walk or bike to Central Park for a picnic!
Those who come to the city for concerts/auditions, or who just love music, a Steinway baby grand piano (M) is available in your suite for practice, for a small additional charge, as well as video and audio recording equipment. Mary is a vocal coach/singer with students that perform at the Metropolitan Opera. If you are here for that big audition or just a night on the town, there are also hip, but reasonable hair stylists and nail salons close by to make sure you look your best!

Four blocks away, is our free, all volunteer, community kayaking Boathouse (John is the Chairperson), it's a great way to explore the warm summertime waters of our NYC archipelago! Within a block or more walking distance are many excellent restaurants, bars, liquor, grocery stores, laundry, pharmacy, post office, etc. There is a beautiful new waterfront esplanade and State Park that runs from our Boathouse almost to Brooklyn to explore and relax with amazing views of the NYC skyline.
