Clean linens, including bedding and table cloths are provided for inside and outside tables. Green/clean cleaning products are used and no perfumed products (such as glade or fabreeze) are used ever. No pet hair, allergy safe.
Want to begin your day with a 5K circuit cross-country ski or run with great views of the Long's Peak and open space around a lake populated with herons, pelicans, ducks, red wings and geese? A local bald eagle couple and foxes can be occasionally spotted. And who doesn't enjoy the antics of prairie dogs on their haunches watching as you pass through Boulder County Open Space? Take a short detour off the main running/ jogging/ biking path and visit the historical agricultural farm or a restful walk along the Oligarchy Greenway 1/8 mile into the morning sun for coffee and scones (Starbucks, Daylight Donuts and Mr. Bean). Within 6 blocks, you will find a Safeway Grocery, Blockbuster and Redboxes, Green Cleaners, Subway, Pizza and an Italian restaurant.
This property is especially friendly to families and couples that will enjoy two groomed parks, tennis and volleyball courts all right across the street. A furnished deck, fenced back yard, canoe, picnic wagon, ice chest and folding chair, bike with child seat, and children's outdoor toys make for summer fun. Put the kids in the big yellow utility wagon with a picnic, soccer ball, roller racers, fishing poles or kites to either of the two parks you pass on your run around the lake where they can play in maintained playgrounds and grassy areas--plenty of room for Frisbee tossing or kite flying. Fishing (catch and release), volleyball courts in each of the two parks, tennis courts across the street and a half-court for basketball pick-up in one of the parks, covered picnic tables, basketball half-court and non-motorized boat entrances. While you pack the picnic, the little ones can play in the 4X4 sandbox under a shade tree in the fenced yard.
Owner provides tennis rackets, volleyball, basketball, soccer ball and roller racers for the kids. Oh, yes, and a canoe with nifty trailer, paddles and life jackets for two adults, a teen and a toddler can be pulled across the street for a fun hour or two on the water where you may be the only craft on the lake. With all this activity, you will be glad that there is an energy efficient washer and dryer available -- and a drying rack for the ecologically-minded.
Not up for all that activity? Inside, make your own blended smoothie or coffee from beans and water straight from the mountains. Enjoy it on the back deck and shady back yard with its eating space for 6-8. The kitchen has all the upgraded appliances, cookware, eating and serving supplies you could need, including a coffee maker and grinder, microwave, Kitchen Aid blender with pasta maker and mixer, electric waffle maker and pressure cooker. Basic cooking supplies are available--a cup of flour, some salt or a pinch spices. Recycling is expected and you are encouraged to contribute non-protein food scraps to the composter.
From a viewing deck, accessible by sliding and french doors off the master and 2nd bedroom, enjoy a long view of Lake Macintosh, Long's Peak--great light and shadows in early mornings and dusk year round! Play tennis or practice your basketball shots (dribble the short walk to the half court).
Enjoy evening visits or family game time in the family room. Television with cable and DVD or VHS players with children's DVDs and family VHS available, chess and board games. Vintage Nintendo and Play Station available with a separate monitor and game playing area, leaving the television free for movies. WIFI is available throughout. Or, if it is chilly outside, an upgraded efficiency wood fire in the fireplace will warm you up, fire starter and firewood are provided. Caretaker is on property and provides care for yards and gardens and remove snow.
Longmont is a very family friendly city, filled with parks, hiking and biking trails and lakes. The County Fair Grounds host livestock shows, antique auctions, arts and crafts fairs, the farmers' market and other festivals and is within 2 miles of the vacation rental. The Greenway offers an extended biking and hiking trail almost 10 miles round trip, with Golden Ponds (fishing and wildlife) and Roger's Grove (festivals and fishing) on the west and Sandstone Park (ballparks, skateboard park and picnic areas) on the east.
Longmont is also a surprising community, with an excellent library, interesting downtown with lots of art and antique shops, a beautiful commemorative rose garden with dozens of varieties, bicycle, rollerblading or walking paths, including the St. Vrain and the Left Hand Greenways--14 mile round trip of sidewalk trails--among others, recreation and athletic facilities including the YMCA and Longmont Recreation Center (both have indoor pools and water slides), a senior center that serves lunches Monday-Friday, a beautiful museum and cultural center, lots of restaurants and fast food outlets and a United Artist 10 Theatre with the best popcorn in the area. Lots of community events include downtown art walks, runs and bicycle races (a bicycle friendly town), ice skating rink, concerts in the park and at the library and a museum. Enjoy concerts in Roosevelt Park near the Rose Garden and Senior Center. Twin Peaks, Ute Creek and Sunset Golf Courses with interesting layouts for golfers of all levels. Find all the restaurants and shopping outlets you might need. Longmont has been a magnet for popular restaurants, clothing and specialty stores. Boulder's "no growth" city ordinances have pushed many retail markets to Longmont.

The Agricultural Museum is accessible from the path and north and west of the lake is open space. A greenway along the Oligarchy Ditch leads the 6 blocks to coffee, donuts, groceries, pizza, fast and slow food restaurants, dry cleaning and other amenities. Full payment must be made to before occupancy. A security/cleaning deposit of $__00 will be made with reservation and can be returned if cancellation is made at least 45 days before arrival; it is held in a non-interest bearing account and returned upon satisfactory departure. Tenant is expected to perform normal household duties including garbage removal, recycling and cleaning of occupied areas after use. The tenant will leave the premises whole, clean and in good condition as found. No smoking is allowed and tenant agrees to keep noise to a reasonable level.
Maximum occupancy per this agreement is _____ adults, ____ children; no pets, no bicycles, large sports or ski equipment in the house are allowed. Activities planned for more participants than the maximum occupancy must be approved by the homeowner before before check-in. Tenant agrees to avoid introducing allergens into the home (including heavy perfumes and perfumed products). Tenant agrees that they are responsible for their own behavior and safety and that of their guests. Owner is not liable and will be held harmless for any damages or injury to tenant, their guests or personal property due to tenants' use of amenities, neglect or actions on the property or in the adjacent park and lake area. Street parking: if more than one or if vehicle is oversized, please discuss with owner prior to check-in.
