The SpaceThis home is filled with the great smell of fresh air, very clean, nicely furnished and very well maintained with lots of amenities and resources to surprise and please you and with fun outdoor and adventure activities just across the street and within short drives along Colorado's Front Range and into the Rocky Mountains. Clean linens, including bedding and table cloths are provided for inside and outside tables. Green/clean cleaning products are used and no perfumed products (such as glade or fabreeze) are used ever. No pet hair, allergy safe. Want to begin your day with a 5K circuit cross-country ski or run with great views of the Long's Peak and open space around a lake populated with herons, pelicans, ducks, red wings and geese? A local bald eagle couple and foxes can be occasionally spotted. And who doesn't enjoy the antics of prairie dogs on their haunches watching as you pass through Boulder County Open Space? Take a short detour off the main running/ jogging/ biking path and visit the historical agricultural farm or a restful walk along the Oligarchy Greenway 1/8 mile into the morning sun for coffee and scones (Starbucks, Daylight Donuts and Mr. Bean). Within 6 blocks, you will find a Safeway Grocery, Blockbuster and Redboxes, Green Cleaners, Subway, Pizza and an Italian restaurant. This property is especially friendly to families and couples that will enjoy two groomed parks, tennis and volleyball courts all right across the street. A furnished deck, fenced back yard, canoe, picnic wagon, ice chest and folding chair, bike with child seat, and children's outdoor toys make for summer fun. Put the kids in the big yellow utility wagon with a picnic, soccer ball, roller racers, fishing poles or kites to either of the two parks you pass on your run around the lake where they can play in maintained playgrounds and grassy areas--plenty of room for Frisbee tossing or kite flying. Fishing (catch and release), volleyball courts in each of the two parks, tennis courts across the street and a half-court for basketball pick-up in one of the parks, covered picnic tables, basketball half-court and non-motorized boat entrances. While you pack the picnic, the little ones can play in the 4X4 sandbox under a shade tree in the fenced yard. Owner provides tennis rackets, volleyball, basketball, soccer ball and roller racers for the kids. Oh, yes, and a canoe with nifty trailer, paddles and life jackets for two adults, a teen and a toddler can be pulled across the street for a fun hour or two on the water where you may be the only craft on the lake. With all this activity, you will be glad that there is an energy efficient washer and dryer available -- and a drying rack for the ecologically-minded. Not up for all that activity? Inside, make your own blended smoothie or coffee from beans and water straight from the mountains. Enjoy it on the back deck and shady back yard with its eating space for 6-8. The kitchen has all the upgraded appliances, cookware, eating and serving supplies you could need, including a coffee maker and grinder, microwave, Kitchen Aid blender with pasta maker and mixer, electric waffle maker and pressure cooker. Basic cooking supplies are available--a cup of flour, some salt or a pinch spices. Recycling is expected and you are encouraged to contribute non-protein food scraps to the composter. From a viewing deck, accessible by sliding and french doors off the master and 2nd bedroom, enjoy a long view of Lake Macintosh, Long's Peak--great light and shadows in early mornings and dusk year round! Play tennis or practice your basketball shots (dribble the short walk to the half court). Enjoy evening visits or family game time in the family room. Television with cable and DVD or VHS players with children's DVDs and family VHS available, chess and board games. Vintage Nintendo and Play Station available with a separate monitor and game playing area, leaving the television free for movies. WIFI is available throughout. Or, if it is chilly outside, an upgraded efficiency wood fire in the fireplace will warm you up, fire starter and firewood are provided. Caretaker is on property and provides care for yards and gardens and remove snow. Longmont is a very family friendly city, filled with parks, hiking and biking trails and lakes. The County Fair Grounds host livestock shows, antique auctions, arts and crafts fairs, the farmers' market and other festivals and is within 2 miles of the vacation rental. The Greenway offers an extended biking and hiking trail almost 10 miles round trip, with Golden Ponds (fishing and wildlife) and Roger's Grove (festivals and fishing) on the west and Sandstone Park (ballparks, skateboard park and picnic areas) on the east. Longmont is also a surprising community, with an excellent library, interesting downtown with lots of art and antique shops, a beautiful commemorative rose garden with dozens of varieties, bicycle, rollerblading or walking paths, including the St. Vrain and the Left Hand Greenways--14 mile round trip of sidewalk trails--among others, recreation and athletic facilities including the YMCA and Longmont Recreation Center (both have indoor pools and water slides), a senior center that serves lunches Monday-Friday, a beautiful museum and cultural center, lots of restaurants and fast food outlets and a United Artist 10 Theatre with the best popcorn in the area. Lots of community events include downtown art walks, runs and bicycle races (a bicycle friendly town), ice skating rink, concerts in the park and at the library and a museum. Enjoy concerts in Roosevelt Park near the Rose Garden and Senior Center. Twin Peaks, Ute Creek and Sunset Golf Courses with interesting layouts for golfers of all levels. Find all the restaurants and shopping outlets you might need. Longmont has been a magnet for popular restaurants, clothing and specialty stores. Boulder's "no growth" city ordinances have pushed many retail markets to Longmont. In a short walk east on the Oligarchy Greenway (1 block from the home), you will find Safeway, Blockbuster and Redboxes, Green Cleaners, Subway, Daylight Donuts, Restaurants and Pizza. You will find major restaurants and shopping within short drives or bicycle rides. It is close to Boulder, Denver and Fort Collins and within 2 hours of major ski areas. Estes Park and the infamous Stanley Hotel is just 45 minutes west at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Forest with its elk herds, bighorn sheep and lots of animal and natural beauty is a short drive west on our section of Highway 66. The NeighborhoodThe home is directly across the street from two of the city's favorite parks, Dawson and Flanders. Children's park and volleyball courts at each park. Tennis courts are 40 steps away, a half-court basketball court a little farther, A 5K (3.44 mile) trail around the lake for walking or biking. The Agricultural Museum is accessible from the path and north and west of the lake is open space. A greenway along the Oligarchy Ditch leads the 6 blocks to coffee, donuts, groceries, pizza, fast and slow food restaurants, dry cleaning and other amenities. Getting AroundLongmont has both scheduled public transportation and a "Call and Ride" service. Other Things to NoteTenant will occupy 1914 Harvard Street, Longmont, Colorado as a vacation rental only, not as a permanent or primary residence. Occupancy shall begin on arrival date _______ 03:00 p.m. and end on departure date_______ 10:00 a.m. (may be flexible). Full payment must be made to before occupancy. A security/cleaning deposit of $__00 will be made with reservation and can be returned if cancellation is made at least 45 days before arrival; it is held in a non-interest bearing account and returned upon satisfactory departure. Tenant is expected to perform normal household duties including garbage removal, recycling and cleaning of occupied areas after use. The tenant will leave the premises whole, clean and in good condition as found. No smoking is allowed and tenant agrees to keep noise to a reasonable level. The entire area is bustling with areas of main street music performances, antique hunting and over a dozen breweries, The owners Sue Ann and Bob have been residents of the area for sixty years and are eager to share with you their passion for this incredibly interesting and beautiful area. We live close by in Boulder and can be there in minutes if needed. The NeighborhoodVery close to downtown Longmont where there is a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and small town stores. There is a library, a large park with lighted tennis courts, volley ball, and a large pavilion. All of this is within easy walking distance from the home. Several craft breweries are close to the neighborhood. Getting AroundRTD bus service is available to get to Boulder, Denver and all of the front range communities. Two bicycles are available for your use. Parking is in front of home on a quiet street. Other Things to NoteThe house is a wonderful 1920's Craftsman home with two large bedrooms plus a smaller back bedroom, The front room and dinning area is separated by the original craftsman cabinetry. The bath has the original clawfoot tub and shower. The kitchen is large with an island suitable for gatherings. Did I mention that the huge dining room table can easily seat 4 to 12 and is great for family gatherings or business conference's? A BBQ and an outside patio with a private yard can also be made available. Children under 2 years of age are free.

We have a tight community here on the east side of town. The atmosphere is friendly and we all care about its appearance. Take a walk to town for a festival, have a brew at the pub and meet a neighbor! Getting AroundRTD is just 2 blocks away to take you to Boulder, Denver, Ft. Collins or even the airport. Longmont has an extensive bike path system. Tool around town. Visit one of our many parks or take a ride to the Recreation Center for a workout or swim. Other Things to NoteOur house is quite charming but quite old. Please be aware; we have a claw foot tub in the guest bathroom that might be difficult for elderly people to manage.

The SpaceMy home and yard are peaceful and cozy. This is a great place to relax or to use as a base for whatever your purpose is in coming to Colorado. The bed is a double so can accommodate one or two. There is a fireplace in the living room for use in winter. One well-behaved dog is fine. My yard is fenced in and there is a doggie door. Often I am caretaking a dog, so if you are allergic or don't love canines, please ask ahead if I will have a dog when you plan to come. I have an organic vegetable garden in summer and if you're fortunate enough to be here at the right time, I will gladly share some harvest with you. My adult son has recently returned from S. America and is living with me. He is awesome (spoken as a true biased mother), but honestly, he is an very respectful and chill. I offer my home as a comfortable haven, so if there is something you need, please ask and I will try to accommodate. I am usually accessible by phone or text. I want you to feel at home here. Guest AccessYou have your own bathroom with a tub & shower. You can use the backyard with 2 patios to hang out in if desired. I have 2 guest bikes & helmets if you wish to ride. I also have 2 pairs of snow-shoes if you are here in winter and want to hike in the mountains or golf courses near by. There is a washer & dryer if you need it. Coffee, tea and bagels are available for your breakfast if you wish. Interaction with GuestsI can steer you in any direction you may need to go and give referrals for restaurants, music venues, hiking trails and other interests. I am a busy, active person so we may just be ships passing in the night (or hallway) so know that you will have personal space. On the same note, I also love getting to know you if time allows. Let me know what time you plan to arrive so I can properly greet you and give you a key. The NeighborhoodI live in a safe neighborhood where I know most of my neighbors. My house is in a cul-de-sac so there is very little traffic. I am 5 minutes away from grocery stores, beautiful walking areas with lagoons, the hospital & restaurants. Getting AroundThere is a bus service to Boulder every 15-30 minutes during day and early evening hours. I am roughly 50 minutes from DIA and 25 minutes to Boulder. Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park are about 45 minutes away. I have 2 bicycles with helmets for your use.

This detached home was lovingly restored in 2012 by the owner, who has been building homes in the Boulder area for 15 years. Your hosts live in the main house on the property and are attentive. Fully remodeled using green building methods/energy efficiency measures. New kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, back splash, and concrete counter tops. The open floor plan on the 1st story features new windows, doors, high efficiency heating/cooling and glowing Brazilian cherry floors. The living room opens up to a private sunny patio with mountain views. The house is located at the rear of a 1/3rd acre property and includes private parking. Upstairs there are 2 real bedrooms with views, plenty of closet space and a new bathroom with an over sized soaking tub and shower. Walk or bike to park, restaurants, breweries, shopping and the St Vrain River Trail. Longmont is a 15 scenic minute drive to Boulder, and 45 minutes to Denver, DIA and Rocky Mountain National Park. The SpaceCome stay in one of the most peaceful corners of Longmont. Your room is a private, fully equipped bedroom and full bathroom for your exclusive use while you're here, tucked in a quiet corner of the main floor. We provide a continental breakfast (coffee or tea, fruit, and a bread such as homemade whole wheat bread and jam, or store-bought bagels, or homemade muffins.) We also call our Lake Vista home -- with limited views of the lake and mountains -- a House of Prayer and Grace because our desire is that all (regardless of faith background) who come to enjoy the surroundings of birds, flowers, trees and other elements of nature will also find Grace. While we used to provide a full breakfast, we now provide a continental breakfast (see description in first paragraph). You are also welcome to cook your own breakfast -- or any meal -- in our kitchen at any time, just let us know your preference. We always have complimentary coffee and assorted teas. There is plenty of street parking in our neighborhood. Need a ride from the airport? We'll pick you up for $35. Guest AccessYou may use all of the main floor spaces -- dining areas, living room, kitchen, and sun porch. The television and DVD aree in the finished basement if you want to enjoy a movie or watch the evening news. The lush garden and yard is also open to you - with several quiet seating areas and a free-standing hammock you can move wherever you want to rest. The second story is our private area; please stay on the main floor or basement. Also, please note that this is our home. We live here. "We" includes Ellen and Dennis, and our very gentle and mostly quiet black lab. We also may be entertaining friends from time to time, including friends with small children (occasionally overnight). The NeighborhoodOur home is two short blocks to Lake McIntosh and just 30 miles to Estes Park, the beautiful mountain-ringed portal to Rocky Mountain National Park. While Longmont's climate is semi-arid because we are near a lake, our neighborhood is full of trees and other greenery. Up for a run or a pleasant walk? A trip around the lake from our front door is 3.8 miles. Or borrow our canoe (2 people) or kayak (1 person), paddles, and life vests to enjoy the lake and its vistas from another vantage point. The nearby lake park has tennis courts, a volleyball pit, and several picnic areas for you to enjoy if you choose. Getting AroundThere are several restaurants within walking distance (a mile or less), as well as three coffee shops, a major grocery store, and numerous other recreational and shopping opportunities. In addition, Longmont is a 30 minute drive to Boulder, and 45 minutes to Denver, Denver International Airport, as well as within 1 to 2 hours driving distance to numerous other recreational activities such as skiing, hiking, mountain biking and more. Unfortunately, public transportation in our corner of Longmont is not convenient, so bring your car or other form of transportation. Other Things to NoteWe offer a 10% discount to return guests. The SpaceQueen size bed in room upstairs adjacent to main bath. Usually the renter of this room is the only person to use the main bath. Rental of room includes use of whole house, laundry, wifi, big kitchen and two living rooms, in summer we have vegetable and herb gardens you are welcome to pick from as you cook. Massage office and studio and Massage Therapist on hand most of the time ( additional cost) PLEASE NOTE: Highway 66 runs adjacent to my back yard which the Green Fairy room overlooks. Most of my guests are not bothered by this but in all the years I have been hosting which is many, 3 people have complained about the highway and one has left early because of the highway noise. So, if this is something you are sensitive to you may want to rent the basement suite or not stay here.

The SpaceTwo twin beds, one with trundle that can be pulled out to sleep a third person and one with storage underneath. Adjacent to main bathroom. Bright, light, cozy room. Good for people who just need a place to sleep and bathe. Good for people traveling with a child or parent, sibling or friends. Free wifi. Off street parking. Free Laundry. The SpaceWe live in a cozy, clean home. We are both yoga practitioners, enjoy the wood stove in the wintertime, and cook most meals at home. There is a cat that lives in the home as well. The private bathroom has a walk-in shower, sink, available storage, and a toilet. Towels provided. The guest room is in the downstairs/garden level of the home. This is an older house, and the upstairs floors are creaky, so if you are light sleeper or easily disturbed by noise, this room might not be the best option for you. Interaction with GuestsWe are usually around to answer questions, give directions, etc. The NeighborhoodQuiet neighborhood with mature trees. Park and pond one block away. Other Things to NoteQuiet hours are from 10:30 pm to 6 am. You can come and go as you please, but please be mindful of making noise or using the kitchen during quiet hours. Also, please plan to arrive before 10:30 pm on your first night so we can give you a key and show you the room before retiring for the night. We avoid wearing shoes in the house when possible.

The SpaceBeautiful and spacious land-marked Victorian home with award-winning garden. The house is located in a peaceful neighborhood but has easy access to local pubs, restaurants,shops, sports activities and bike trails; Boulder and the CU campus, NCAR, NOAA and NIST; big-city life (Denver) with museums, galleries, professional sports and nightclubs; and the gorgeous and unsurpassed Rocky Mountains! The house is fully furnished and equipped, and comes with wifi and basic cable TV. Utilities paid for unless otherwise negotiated for a longer term stay. Just bring your clothes! There are three proper bedrooms (i.e., with closet), plus the original "attic" room (which kids love!) which will sleep one. The listing may show it as having four beds, but it actually has five: one king, one queen, one full, and two single. If you want to sightsee in the mountains you will need a car. Otherwise there is excellent bus transportation to/from the airport, Boulder, Denver and around town. Pets are generally no longer allowed, as we have had too much carpet and grass damage. A single small dog or cat may be negotiable. A security deposit of $250 is required for stays up to one month. For one month or longer the security deposit is $1000. There is a cleaning fee of $85 for stays of one week or longer. Guest AccessGuests have full access to the house and garden. Interaction with GuestsIt really depends on the guests, how long their stay is, and the season. I do not interfere, although many guests are eager to chat. In the warm months I come by periodically to take care of garden issues. The NeighborhoodThe house is in the Eastside Historic District of Longmont, which was the first neighborhood established in the city, in the 1860s and 70s. The house is an historic landmark, as are many other interesting and attractive 19th century homes. It is a close-knit and friendly community. Getting AroundThere is very convenient public transport through the Regional Transportation District. Collyer is a bus route, and the Bolt bus to Boulder (comfort and speed) picks up just a few blocks away. For airport transport you take the airport bus to/from Boulder, and then the Bolt, to and from Longmont. You can also easily access downtown Denver this way - and the Rockies Stadium is just steps away from the depot. The renovated Union Station in Denver is now open, which will provide central transport for local, regional and shuttle buses, as well as Amtrak. Other Things to NoteOur preference currently is to book for longer stays, such as a month. But please do not hesitate to contact us regarding any request, as we try to be flexible and accommodating.
