I tend to have a busy schedule, and I can't always be home for you, but I'm just a message or phone call away, if you need me. The NeighborhoodThis is a street that is off of through traffic routes, so we only see neighbors driving through. The neighborhood is quaint, quiet, and friendly. Don't be surprised if you see a neighbor grilling in their front yard - you might get lucky and they'll invite you over for a taste. This is a family neighborhood, so you can expect to see kids out playing/riding bikes/etc. There is a park for kids and a basketball court within a 5-minute walk. There are bike lanes for cyclists in the residential areas. We have a running trail that follows the canal. There are ducks and fish in it. It's a nice place to go for a walk/run. Getting AroundThere is a bus that runs around town and goes to neighboring cities. Other Things to NoteEach room includes a walk-in closet. If you have any special requests, please let me know, and I'll do my best to accommodate them.
Los Banos Airport is about 3 miles from my house, so we occasionally get low-flying small airplanes overhead. But don't worry - you won't hear them unless you're outside, and we typically only get one or two planes per day.
This is a farming city, so expect to see some dust and smell some smells that you may not be used to if you live in a big city.
Although I don't allow smoking inside, you're welcome to smoke in the back yard. Please put your cigarette butts in the cigarette disposal I have back there.
Please don't expect the house to be spotless. Things tend to get dusty around here because I'm so busy and away from the house so often.
I'm also extremely conservative with water. California is currently experiencing its worst drought in recorded history. Although I offer fresh, clean sheets to any guest who wants them, I don't automatically replace the sheets after each guest. If you want fresh sheets, you may get them from the closet - no problem. I don't flush the toilet every time I go pee, so my toilet bowls tend to have a ring around them at all times. You're welcome to flush every time you go, if you want.
