We have a beautiful landscape planted with many different fruit trees, and the beach is within walking distance from our front door about a three minutes walk. From our place you have access to all the major touristic site in Samana such as: Los Haitises, a heaven for nature's lover. where you will find the floral and fauna of the Dominican Republic. Los Haitises have 35 small "Islands" and a number of caves for your exploration. El Parque Taino is a museum to the early people who lived in the Hispaniola and many other attractions are a short car ride away from our property.

      The SpaceRecommended for people that want to escape tourists. The villa is situated next to a charming typical Dominican village on a land called LAS BRISAS that has 5 other villas. These houses have to share the swimming pool but most of the time clients have the chance to be at the pool alone. There is a gardner and a watchman, Gilbert, a Haitian, that speaks French, Spanish and English. Interaction with GuestsI could not welcome you personally all the time but the house keeper, Niño, will welcome you and show you around the house while I'm not there. He also owns a minibus-taxi and can pick you up or give you rides. Getting AroundFor the clients that come by their own means, here is the indications to go to the house: from Sanchez, you need to take the direction of Las Terrenas. After 10 Km, you will arrive at the small village Los Puentes. Ask someone for the direction of Laguna Grande. Follow the road for about 1 km and you will see on your right a road that says "LAS BRISAS". Another sign will indicate where Casa Attila is. Other Things to NoteIf you wish, you could have a cleaning lady that will wash your clothes. It costs 400 pesos per day. If ever there is a power cut, don't worry since they never last for very long. You could benefit from this situation to eat a romantic diner with candles in the dark.

The NeighborhoodThere is so much to see and do in the Las Terenas area that it will be hard to find time to relax and enjoy the sheer comfort of this home! The famous cascades of El Limon are a must do for families and is a fascinating tour on horseback (with guides) culminating with the opportunity to dive into the clear fresh waters from the waterfalls. We recommend you do this with Santi's restaurant in El Limon who will give you a fabulous Dominican lunch when you return. Go in the morning and plan for about 4-5 hours in total. Mid January to Mid March we have the amazing humpback whales in the Samana bay and we recommend that you do this tour with Kim Beddal the Internationally acclaimed expert on these whales as her insight into their background and history is just fascinating. Most have been named by her team and it is a true must do if you are here at the right time! Another highly recommended trip is to do the Route De Cafe which is best taken as a 4 by 4 tour with 2 people to a quad. this takes you inland to coffee and sugar plantations as well as a rubber factory. combined with lunch on a beach a delightful day out. Los Haites National Park is another great excursion and of course a trip to Cayo Levantado (Bacardi Island) is another must do. Apart from all of this there are great diving, snorkelling, kite surfing and surfing beaches all within a few miles of Las Terrenas. You can take your PADI certification here. Santo Domingo the capital city deserves time if you are city lovers and has a huge amount to see we recommend you stay in the Zona Colonial to experience the old city and walk within its old walls. For the more adventurous just hire a car and explore the Samana peninsula, where there are still unspoilt beaches (some need a fisherman to take you there). Playa Rincon is breathtaking and worth the drive. Getting AroundPrivate parking at the property, quads can be hired easily and also the local public transport is a moto conco (motor bike taxi)

No need to take a wallet or shoes or to lock-up the house, just walk right to the beach along a small pathway. THE BEACH: 50 meters from Casa Coco lies idyllic Coson beach, awarded the 'Blue Flag Beach' designation by the Blue Flag nonprofit environmental group. This designation is given to only those beaches with exceptional water quality, environmental management, and safety and services. The beach has sections of perfectly calm water -- perfect for children -- and areas with small waves. Coson is exceptionally peaceful, with very little development apart from Nomadas and the small hotel next door. A long walk down the beach (or short car ride) takes you to a surfing haven with a famous local seafood restaurant and bar ('Luis') right on the sand of a near-deserted section of the beach. Jurassic Park is a magical place situated on a small hill, in a tranquil valley, 3-5 mins outside of the main town Las Terrenas. A short stroll behind us there are two waterfalls with pools - which are extremely inviting, especially when its hot, great for cooling off and helping to make you feel at peace with the world. We have semi controlled jungle areas which we continue to improve and make part of the attraction of being here. There is very little light pollution (no upward facing lights) so you can view the night sky, from our open pool terrace, which are mostly spectacular all year round. If you are a star gazer, a writer or a poet you would feel very much at home here. We are moving towards self sufficiency and Eco tourism. We already have pure spring water and we have solar panels and soar water heaters. We will in the future add a variety of electric vehicles for guests. If you have children then this is a natural wonderland providing constant amazement. Indeed, visits from the local children, who are a breath of fresh air, will aid your children in understanding this environment. To top it off we have a trampoline which is very popular with children and uncontrollably happy adults alike. We also grow many fruits and vegetables and indeed as I write this the wife has popped out to our herb garden for some coriander. We hope to have created a much more personal and friendly feeling. The NeighborhoodJP is to the rear and overlooking LT. We are surrounded by lush green jungle and vegetation that is full of all sorts of interesting tropical produce, flowers and creatures. Much of our food is produced locally and is organic. Another striking feature are the local people. You will often hear them singing in the mornings. They are a happy people who live simple lives and certainly make most of us re think our own lives. They are warm and genuinely friendly and curious. They are likely to welcome you into their houses and offer you a coffee and the chance to sit down talk with them and take in their wonderful lives. Getting AroundWe have excellent door to door service for local transportation that is available 24 hrs a day. It is inexpensive and fun and also gives you the chance to meet the locals. If you decide to bring a car we have onsite parking. To get to us from the airport you can choose one of several method such as taxi (expensive), bus (very inexpensive) or rent a car. The estate is located at 10 minutes of Las Terrenas. Lovely road. The only concern is that once installed in the house, you almost force yourself to stroll.         This is a beautiful and brand new apartment just in front of the beach and the sound of the water is always present. My unit is inside a small gated community with 24 hour security personal, and the best restaurant in all Las Terrenas is on premises
