The SpaceThe cabin was hand-built by Creedence Clearwater Revival's John Fogerty and friends. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and comfortably accommodates 6 guests. The master bedroom has its own full bath. The other two bedrooms have twin beds and share a bath. The cabin also has three very small sleeping lofts. The cabin has a large river rock fireplace, a patio that faces the Grande Ronde river, and a wood-fired hot tub that sits within feet of the river (with firewood for you to use!). There is a full kitchen, clean linens on the beds and clean towels and bath mats in the bathrooms. There is a washer and dryer. Guest AccessThe property owners live in Seattle so you will not be sharing the space with anyone. The entire cabin and property is yours to enjoy! Interaction with GuestsIf you have any questions, please contact your Troy hosts, Lynne and George Robinson at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). The NeighborhoodTHINGS TO DO:
Fly Fishing: the Grande Ronde River is a premier fly fishing destination. Best time is in the fall (steel head season opens September 1 and this year goes through April 30, 2017). You can obtain a fishing license online before you arrive in Troy (Oregon Fish & Wildlife web site), or at the Troy Resort which is open Thursday (not holidays!) through Sunday until 4 p.m.
Rafting/Tubing: Float down the river. Drop in at Wildcat Bridge and float to the Troy Bridge (walking distance to the Fogerty cabin).
Hiking and backpacking: Hike the Wenaha River trail, Three Forks trail, Cross Creek trail. Check out websites for more details on trails.
Biking: Bike along the river roads.
Swimming: Swim in the river -- you can jump in at the Wildcat bridge (there's also a great swimming hole there) or under the Troy footbridge. Getting AroundThe property is accessible by car only; 4-wheel drive or snow tires recommended in winter. The nearest place to rent a car is the Lewiston, ID airport. There is plenty of parking on the Fogerty property, although we ask that you do not park trailers, vehicles or pitch tents on the lawn. Other Things to NoteThe Fogerty cabin is in Troy, OR although the address shows that it is in Enterprise (we don't have our own zip code here in Troy). We are 60 miles north of Enterprise, OR, and 60 miles south of Asotin, WA. There is a wood-fired hot tub on the patio, however, due to fire restrictions, it should only be used when there is absolutely no fire danger. We have no grocery store or service station in Troy, so please plan accordingly.
