This glamping property has 20 cabin tents and seven river tents. The cabin tents can sleep from four to eight guests, and the riverfront tents can each sleep two to three guests.For all cabin tents, duplex tents, and river tents, the daily rate is listed for double occupancy and comes with a complimentary breakfast. Guests are asked to contact the host for occupancies higher than two guests. This includes the mandatory $10 per person per night fee for two people. For more than two guests, the host will submit a new offer upon receiving the booking request to account for the $10 fee per person per night.Since this luxury camping site specializes in whitewater rafting trips, guests must let the host know in the booking request whether or not they want to raft and if so, which rafting package they'd like.The cabin tents and deluxe tents differ in capacity and style. The cabin tents are available for groups of four or more. They are fitted with either bunk beds, double beds, twin beds or a combination of the three. The river tents are smaller than the cabin tents. They are perched on a raised deck offering a stunning and private view of the river. Sleeping pads on the beds are provided. Glampers must bring their own sleeping bag, pillow, and bath towel or they can rent them for $15 per person.

Beds include 1 king, 4 queens, and 1 twin (in downstairs den area). Note - the 5th bedroom is accessed by a separate entry and not through the main house. Guest AccessEntire home, 4-acre yard with 300 feet riverfront. Interaction with GuestsI am typically close by and available as needed to assist with any issues you may encounter. The NeighborhoodColoma has a handful of nice restaurants that frequently have live outdoor music (seasonal). Argonaut restaurant in Marshall Gold State Park (1 mile away) serves lovely breakfast/lunch. Rio Yogurt is perfect for those hot summer days. Please note that some of these spots are seasonal, so please check local listings. Getting AroundThe "town" of Coloma is a short 0.5 mile walk. Other Things to NotePrice is inclusive of 10% local occupancy tax. Phones: Please note that AT&T cell phones DO NOT WORK in this area. Verizon and Sprint both work well. The house is equipped with a landline. Pets: Pets are not allowed. Smoking: Please do not smoke inside the house. There are two properties that share the riverfront area (6791 and 6801). You may encounter folks from the other house, though there is plenty of riverfront space to spread out. Please note that this area has a strict noise ordinance for quiet hours starting at 10PM. Please be respectful of this time limit, as noise travels quite well along the river. River fun: Water flows on the South Fork of the American River are controlled by the upriver Chili Bar Dam. Water is released at certain times of the day and certain days of the week, which fluctuates throughout the year and depending on rain conditions and power needs. Please check (URL HIDDEN) ) for a schedule of anticipated release times, and note that the water typically rises at my house around 2 hours after release from the dam. The River Store should be able to take care of your watersports needs. The section of the river that the house is on is called "C to G", and is ~ class 2 whitewater. My home is located downriver from a rapid called Gremlin, and just upriver from a rapid called Old Scary.

The SpaceThe magic of a yurt without any of the drawbacks of canvas construction. This beautiful 440 square feet has every comfort of home 400 feet from the South Fork of the American. Set on the high point of our 5 acres with views across the river to golden hills. If you have never spent the night in a round structure with a cedar ceiling and a 5 foot skylight, you are in for a treat. Beautiful stained concrete floors add to the ambiance and keep it cool in the summer. We are located on the South Fork of the American River in the heart of the beautiful Lotus Coloma Valley. We are within a few minutes of the Marshall Gold Discovery Park and Museum, numerous wineries, and hiking and biking in hundreds of acres of open space. There are over 25 commercial rafting companies waiting to take you down the river if you don't have your own equipment. Or just relax and watch the river go by. There is a river shuttle in the summer that takes boaters 10 miles up river or will pick you up 10 miles down river at the Folsom Reservoir take out. It leaves from Camp Lotus, just up the street. We live in our house on the property so we available if you need anything but you can not see our house from the yurt. 2 night minimum for weekends unless you are booking for the upcoming weekend and it is still available. Guest AccessPlenty of private parking for whatever you are driving. Access to the South Fork to put in or take out your raft or kayak or just sit with your feet in the river. Access to our large spa overlooking the river, a short walk down the hill from the yurt. Interaction with GuestsWe live in our house on the property so we available if you need anything but you can not see our house from the yurt. Our guests appreciate the almost complete privacy afforded by the yurt but we also enjoy socializing if you want ideas on things to do in the area or just want to enjoy a glass of wine on the deck of our house overlooking the river. The NeighborhoodWe are located on the South Fork of the American River in the heart of the beautiful Lotus Coloma Valley. We are within a few minutes of the Marshall Gold Discovery Park and Museum, numerous wineries, and hiking and biking in hundreds of acres of open space. We are also only an hour and 15 minutes to skiing at Sierra at Tahoe and not much further to several another Tahoe resorts. The cabin has one bedroom (king size bed) and one bathroom, and there is an adjacent bungalow available with queen bed when needed (no bathroom in bungalow). A twin air mattress is also provided. Living room has a large queen size sofa sleeper, dining table, TV/DVD player, and new wood burning stove. Covered patio with charcoal grill, outdoor seating, and hammock is a great place to relax or cook-out after a day on the river. Red Hawk Casino is nearby and Lake Tahoe is an hour away. San Francisco is 3 hours away. Sacramento International an hour drive. Rural area with lots of hiking and riding trails.     The SpaceWelcome to your vacation house, the Lotus River House! We think you'll love it here, whether you're a boater, artist, nature lover, bird watcher, gold panner, hiker, cyclist, foodie, or all of the above - there is something for everyone in this historic gold country location! The house is located on the south fork of the American river in Coloma, California. We are just downstream from Coloma State Park where gold was discovered. There are amazing trails nearby to hike, bike, or horseback ride. You can put on the river right from the house and raft 15 miles downstream through the Gorge section, or float down from farther upstream on the famous Chili Bar section of rapids, but lots of folks just like to float around in the pool out front and take it all in! Lots of wonderful outdoor living space with over 1000' of deck overlooking the river. We have three bedrooms total, 2 bedrooms in the main house with the two bathrooms, and one separate room accessed via the deck. The third bedroom has two large sliding glass doors overlooking the river and trees, it is truly a wonderful space. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and lots of things for your culinary needs, we've even provide shampoo and soap, along with linens and towels. Perhaps best of all is the cabin’s outdoor deck, where glampers can relax with a glass of wine as they take in the lovely river views.This cabin comes with breakfast included each morning. The cabin is best for two people but two small kids can also be accommodated in the pull-down bed.         This perfectly located retreat sits on two acres of beautiful gold country land and river; ideally nestled on the South Fork of the American River at Highway 49. Offers your own private beach, fishing holes, gold panning, and wildlife viewing. Very spacious (1800 square feet) and lots of windows/views. After a day of river rafting/kayaking, wine-tasting, or fish in our river, fire up the BBQ outside while watching the kids explore for gold or lounge in the hammock while reading a good book. The kitchen is fully loaded with appliances and there is a pub table in the dining room that seats eight people with an additional kitchen bar with stools. After dinner, cozy up to the fireplace in the family room in one of the overstuffed couches (they do suck the life out of you) with a glass of wine and gaze at the beautiful view of the river or play a round of poker in the rompus room while the kids play one of the many games available. Take a bath in the jetted tub and retire into one of the newly furnished guest rooms for one of the most peaceful night's sleep this side of the West. There is one king bedded room; one room offers two queen beds; the other room offers a queen bed and the rompus room has a set of twin bunk beds. For those guests that don't mind sleeping on the couch, we offer three comfy couches, along with a great place to camp outside that overlooks the river. There are two showers and two bath tubs. Towels/linens are available. Pet Friendly: $25 per night; per pet and $500 refundable security deposit.
