The SpaceI offer for rent, at this great price, a 98 square foot private room that is furnished with a twin size daybed. The mattress is extremely comfortable. And I have updated the room with new, thicker blinds and sunblocking curtains so you can sleep later, as well as a brand new ceiling fan to help keep the air circulated and cool. Please see the photographs to get a better idea of the space offered. Guest AccessThe bathroom will be shared, but don't worry because I don't have any roommates. Bedrooms are off limits unless otherwise stated. You'll have access to the kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, oven, cooking utensils, dinnerware, as well as the dining room... and the living room too. We can totally watch a show or movie or even play a video game if I'm free. I don't drink coffee so I don't have a coffee maker currently. Interaction with GuestsI do live in this space and will be present, and I will interact with you as much or as little as our schedules permit and you would like. We can interact anywhere in the spectrum from a few words to besties. The NeighborhoodIncredible food and lots of options. Many bars and great nightlife... Louisville is a 4am town so you can stay out way late. Something is always going on... music, theater, etc. From my place you can walk to many options in as little as 5-15 minutes. Getting AroundLyft, Uber, Taxis, and a busline with a stop right outside my door make my already convenient location even better than it already was. Also did I mention I am within walking distance of most of the awesome things? Yep walking distance. Other Things to NotePlease note that Louisvile is in the Eastern Time Zone. I have no pets and I don't smoke (except on rare occasions and that is outside and very rare).

The SpaceThis 1200 square foot first floor apartment will put you in the heart of Louisville's historic district. We live within an easy walk of coffee shops, a bakery, parks, and restaurants. Historical, urban, diverse, yet "feels like home" are some of the many ways guests have described our neighborhood. The apartment has one bedroom with a full bed and a couch. If you need more sleeping room, there are two additional couches in the living room and a surprisingly comfy twin-size air mattress. Clean sheets, blankets, and bath towels are provided. Check-in / Check-out If the apartment isn't booked by another guest on the same day that you're arriving or leaving, you can get here as early or leave as late as you want. We will be happy to work with your schedule. We will give you a code to the building, so there is no need to worry about meeting us in advance. Just let yourself in and make yourself at home! We have lived in Old Louisville for over 10 years, so we know our community well. While we will certainly respect your schedule and privacy needs, we are excited to share our city with you! If you're up for an urban adventure, let us help you tailor your visit according to your interests. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire 1st floor apartment, which includes: - Full kitchen w/ breakfast table - Dining room - Bedroom w/ bed, couch, tv, and closet - Bathroom - Living room w/ two couches and air mattress if needed. Interaction with GuestsWe always love to meet our guests, but we try not to be intrusive or overbearing. Additionally, we love making recommendations, so please ask! The NeighborhoodWe love Old Louisville. Our home is situated within blocks of five major bus lines. It's safe and easy to navigate on foot, plus bike lanes connect downtown with the university. Most of Louisville's crown jewels are within a 3-5 mile radius, including Churchill Downs, Museum Row, Nulu, as well as convention centers, theaters, sports complexes and award-winning restaurants. In fact, most of the locations featured in Apartment Therapy's Destination Guide are within an easy 10-15 minute bike ride. The neighborhood is definitely urban. There's an eclectic mix of houses, a few restaurants, and people from all walks of life. Within half a block (under 5-minute walk) • Toonerville Deli ( soups, salads, sandwiches -- open for lunch and brunch on Saturdays) Within a few blocks (5-10 minute walk) • Amici's Italian Café (Italian-American food, full bar, patio) • Mag Bar (neighborhood bar, does not serve food) • Pizza Donisi (delivers; also delivers to Mag Bar) • Scheller's Grocery (the basics) • 610 Magnolia (upscale restaurant; Chef Edward Lee; reservations required) • Buck's Restaurant (fine dining, romantic atmosphere and gourmet cuisine; reservations required) • Taste of China (hits the spot. Customer service could be better, but then again, it's just carryout. Also offers free delivery). Within Old Louisville (10-20 minute walk) • The Old Louisville Tavern (great pub food, beer selection, outdoor seating) • Granville Inn (pub food, pizza, beer, pool tables, full bar) • Burger Boy (open 24/7) • Qdoba Mexican Grill • Quills Coffee (nice atmosphere, popular with students) • Comfy Cow Ice Cream (try the bourbon ice cream!) • Green Leaf Natural Vegetarian Bistro • Dizzy Whizz (diner-style cafe) • Ollie's Trolley (legacy of Harland Sanders' brief foray into the hamburger business. Unique -- try the fries). Getting AroundWe're within 10 minutes of U of L and downtown by car, bike, or bus. It's a nice walk to the University. Guests often find that it's more convenient to leave their car here and take the bus ($1.75 for a 3-hour pass) than to look for parking at U of L or downtown. Other Things to NoteIf you're new to AirBnB, please take a few minutes to verify your email, real ID, some form of social media, and one or more pictures. You will be renting the 1st floor of a 120+ year old building. It was originally built for a vice-president at Louisville Bank. It's not as grand or elaborate as some of the Victorian mansions nearby, but it has a unique flair that we love. As is typical for older buildings, maintenance is ongoing. There are cosmetic irregularities you should expect. For example, we need to do some painting -- trim, baseboards, and walls. The kitchen and bathroom floors need to be replaced -- they're fine, just outdated. There are few slats of inlaid flooring that need to be replaced. The laundry room needs new drywall. The back door sticks a little. These are relatively minor and our guests have never complained about these things, but we want to be forthcoming with this information. Our neighbors are generally quiet, although the college students in the area can get rambunctious. You shouldn't be able to hear them in the bedroom, but if you're a particularly light sleeper, the box fan provides enough white noise to help you sleep. Our neighbors are real estate agents, factory workers, college students, doctors, retirees, professors, unemployed, office workers, caterers, etc. If you've never lived in a city before, you may want to check out the street view option to get a feel for the neighborhood. One point of pride for us is that that we live in one of the most racially and economically diverse parts of the entire city. We have a mixture of mansions, condos, and apartments nearby. You won't find a more diverse population anywhere in Louisville. This has been our home for over ten years, and we can't imagine wanting to live anywhere else.

The SpaceAudubon Landing would have been a starter home in the mid-century, for a member of the "Greatest Generation". The home is furnished with vintage pieces or pieces of the style of that era (electronics excepted). Take a trip back to the 1950'(URL HIDDEN) coming around again. Guest AccessIt's hard to beat convenience. Groceries, pharmacy, and two large parks are within walking distance. The Highlands strip is a three mile drive, as is the airport. Interaction with GuestsHal and Meg are absentee owners. They communicate by text, email or phone to cover any questions or requests. The NeighborhoodTo the immediate west is Audubon Park. We love to walk its streets and five small parks. It is a designated bird sanctuary as well as a listed National Historic Place. To the southeast is Joe Creason Park, Beargrass Creek Nature Preserve and the Zoo. The dogs love Joe Creason Park. Do you like cemeteries? We do. We think the stories held by these plots of land are fascinating. There are two cemeteries a mile to the (URL HIDDEN) ghosts sighted...yet! Getting AroundThere is a TARC (Transit Authority of River City) bus stop a couple minute walk to Poplar Level. It is on Bus route 43. There is parking in the driveway of Audubon Landing including covered parking in back for a single, medium-sized vehicle (it's a squeeze getting in and out of the covered parking - careful). The garage is not available to guests...too small anyway, it's storage. The airport is 3.5 miles away, an 8 minute drive. Other Things to NoteDogs are considered at Audubon Landing, but must be cleared with Hal or Meg. There are some strict pet rules, but nothing insurmountable. We have dogs ourselves. There is a one-time Pet Fee of $30 for approved pets that is charged separately.

The SpaceSuper simple, no frills three bedroom ranch! If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind after being out in the city- this is the spot! The living room has two full size couches and a love seat. The house is a basic ranch-style house with five beds. All beds have clean sheets and comforters provided. The kitchen is cook-ready with all the basics provided. The kitchen table can accommodate up to five people and there is an additional card table with four additional chairs in the basement. There is a large backyard and we are pet friendly. This home was my first house years ago. It has since been a regular rental and the home of people all across the world the last two years! Therefore, this house has been well-lived in. Unfortunately, not everyone treats our home with care and at times there are things that we miss. We try to tend to maintenance issues as quickly as possible between . We want our guest experience to be as positive as possible. We are happy to answer any questions you may have! Guest AccessThe house has WiFi. The blue room and red room both have analog TV's. The blue room has a digital converter box-proving more cable stations. The red room has a standard mini-box. There is no TV in the green room. There is also a small analog TV in the kitchen with a mini-box. The house has a full-sized washer and dryer in the basement. The basement is a standard, not finished basement. The backyard is HUGE and fenced in. Your pups will LOVE running around in the yard. I feel this protects me as well as you. I will send you a message through the site with access instructions to the house 24-48 hours prior to your stay. So, don't worry if you don't hear a lot from me. If your reservation is confirmed through the site-then you can be sure you will have a place to stay in Louisville! The NeighborhoodI used to live and work in this neighborhood. I still work right down the street from the property. You are safe to walk and ride bikes in the area. There has never been any security issues that I am aware of in this neighborhood. But, as with anything-due diligence is always required. I have been a school teacher for the last ten years. I LOVE this area because I can be anywhere in Louisville in ten to fifteen minutes. There is grocery, restaurants, and other shopping nearby. Getting AroundIt is simple to catch the TARC bus if you need from the property. It is also a cheap cab ride to the airport, fairgrounds, and downtown Louisville from this location! Other Things to NoteAgain, this house is well-lived in. There is no frills or fancy here. Simply a place to rest up, shower, and hang out between adventures in town. We feel for a three bedroom house we are reasonably price, especially for large groups. The house beats a hotel room any day of the week!
