I live on an island 45 minutes north of Sydney CBD. The house is water access only, so you will need to enjoy boating to stay with us. My brother and dog share the 3-bedroom house with me. The house is right on the water with lovely views, a large deck to sit on and a big backyard. A 5 minute walk will get you to the ferry wharf. We also have our own boats and are happy to have you come over in our boat. We have a kayak, which our guests are welcome to use. There are lots of lovely bush walks around the area and lovely beaches too. There is an express city bus from Church Point (drop off point for the ferry and boat). Mona Vale is only 5 minutes by bus or car and there are many shops and restaurants there.

The SpaceFrom the moment you leave your car at Church Point in Sydney's northern beaches to catch the ferry, with its harmonica-playing driver, stress disappears. Colin and Rosemary Haskell ran an award-winning B&B in an old Georgian six-bedroom house in the Lake District of northern England before seeking the warmer climes of Pittwater . They set up Scotland Island Lodge thirteen years ago, and have now established a reputation of excellence for fresh home made meals and accommodation. Colin and Rosemary have thought of everything, even the birds munching on bacon on the deck seem as though they're there to meet you. See more on our website (website hidden) and Trip Advisor reviews Guest AccessFree use of kayak Interaction with GuestsFull English Breakfast is included in the room rate and dinners are available on request. All meals are prepared and served by Rosemary and Colin and all rooms are serviced daily. Help with choosing walks and places to explore in the National Park. The NeighborhoodWe love walking around the island and are greeted happily by everyone we meet. Friendly neighbours who offer boat rides to the mainland and who stop to chat. Picnicking on the water's edge, watching kids jump off the jetty, dogs running around the park, and families fishing in tinnies and boats sailing softly past. Rosemary's dictum is ``We're into human beings not human doings" so take her advice and relax in this special place on Pittwater. Getting AroundTravelling by public transport from the city is slow but really easy. We usually suggest getting the ferry from Circular Quay (in the city) and going to Manly. There is a bus from Manly (156) and it comes straight through to Church Point where you can get a ferry to the island. The whole trip could take up to two hours depending on the ferry times also you may wish to spend some time in Manly on your way here. Ferries run during the day every hour and water taxis are available from early morning till 10.00pm every day
