The Space**THE APARTMENT** A gorgeous, bright and cosy home from home in the East Village, my sunny 1 bedroom apartment is a great little sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of New York City. Don't be mistaken- It is not huge as it's Manhattan!! But high ceilings make it feel open and airy. The space has a "railroad" style layout which means it is appointed all in a row: on entry there is a small bathroom to the left, the kitchen area is in front of you, then off to the right is the living area with french doors that fully close off the bedroom. THE DETAILS: - The bedroom has a comfortable full double bed and 2 large windows making it airy and relaxing. - The living room has a TV/DVD with cable & wifi, a sofa and a round glass dining table with chairs - The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, glasses etc should you wish to cook, and it has a gas hob & oven, large fridge & freezer & sink. - The bathroom is small but has a great shower with a half size bath and a loo - The apartment is a 3rd floor walk up in the East Village/ Alphabet City, bordering the Lower East Side (Please note- there is no lift) - There will not be cupboard or storage space for the guests I'm afraid but plenty of open floor space for suitcases/ bags to be laid out in the bedroom. INCLUDED: - Bed linens- sheets, duvet cover, pillows etc - Clean towels **THE AREA** My apartment is located in the vibrant East Village/ Alphabet City, bordering the Lower East Side. It is a fantastic area with numerous restaurants and bars, delis, a local 24 hour pharmacy & a boutique wine shop on the corner, Tompkins Square Park nearby, all you could need at any hour of the day or night! There are also other conveniences such as banks, a couple of supermarkets and launderettes in the vicinity, and there is a community garden open on weekends next door (summer only). A few walking distances: - Lower East Side - 5mins - Williamsburg Bridge - 8 mins (great for a run or to walk over to Williamsburg/ Brooklyn) - Nolita/ Soho - 10/ 15 mins - Union Square - 25 mins - West Village - 35 mins **PUBLIC TRANSPORT** - The nearest subway stations are 2nd Avenue (F) and Essex St Delancey St (J/M/F) - both around 10 mins walk - There is also Broadway Lafayette St (B/D/F/M) - around 20 mins walk - There are lots of buses but I never get them so I'm afraid I cannot advise! - Always easy to get a handy yellow taxi from this area also ****After a few fantastic airbnb experiences staying in other people's homes I have decided to list my own place! Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have****

I love staying in and hosting people at my home, when I have friends over they really think it's an oasis within the city, and I hope you will feel welcomed as well :) * Double windows in bedroom installed for sound proofing (these are two physical sets of windows, so four panes of glass in each window) * Renovated in 2013 * Located on Rivington & Clinton * Bed is a comfy queen sized memory foam mattress * Desk area in bedroom if you need to work * French doors separate living room from bedroom * Roku smart TV (Netflix, Amazon prime, news, etc.) * Separate kitchen with counters on both sides * Space for you to unpack your things in bedroom dresser and living room closet * Wash & Fold laundry in the building (laundry fee's extra to the laundry company) or Laundry mat (to do it yourself) just one block away on Stanton and Clinton * 2.5 blocks to J/Z/F/M trains at the Delancey and Essex street stop * 3rd floor - low floor walk up * So convenient to top restaurants, bars, shopping, site seeing, parks & more! * Fresh towels and linens provided Guest Access5-15 min walking distance to: Tompkins square park, SoHo, NoHo, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, East Village, NoLita, Little Italy, the Williamsburg bridge and more! The SpaceYou'll be staying in a huge bedroom (14x14) with a large closet. Its an amazing sanctuary for writers, musicians, and anyone just looking to have a nice time in NYC. The apartment is located in a prime Lower East Side location that's just walking distance from the best bars and music venues in the country. There's also a citibike kiosk right under your window, so in theory, you could jump out your window and land right onto a bike seat - but i would really prefer you didn't try that. Places that are just a quick walk away: Clinton Street Baking Company, Katz Deli, Russ & Daughters, Mission Cantina, Meatball Shop, WD-50 (RIP), Ivan Ramen, Il Bagatto, Jeromes, 151, Welcome to the Johnsons, The Hotel On Rivington, Mercury Lounge, Pianos, Bowery Ballroom, Cake Shop, Hotel Chantelle, Williamsburg Bridge, Chinatown, Soho, East Village. This location is amazing. I work as a Music Director for a women's fashion brand, DJ, and used to run a record label and be a music magazine editor and twice published book author. Guests will have access to a full kitchen - with dishwasher! Wifi, closet, a 50" 3D tv, and a washer/dryer in the building. I will be around to welcome the guests and direct them to the BEST places to go to in the neighborhood and making sure they feel like they're at home. I love people and i love hosting! I've lived in this same apartment since 2002, so there's a lot that I love about the neighborhood. Just down the road are some of the best dive bars and music venues. Not only that, but some of the best restaurants are super close - such as Clinton Street Baking Company, home to the best pancakes in the world. Also, there's a 24-hour deli across the street so you will always have access to snacks if you want! Just outside the apartment is a citibike kiosk where you can rent bikes for the day or week or year! They're literally five feet from the entrance. The F/M/J/M/Z train is located just 5 blocks away! If you're a big music fan - specifically music that defined the NYC music scene in the early/mid 00's - you will love this apartment and it's rich history in that scene.
