The SpaceA bright and cheerful house on the edge of a conveniently located village to the north-west of Poole. Our house is set back from the road, and is very quiet. We have two double bedrooms available, both overlooking the garden and field/woodland beyond. We can take up to 4 people in one booking. The two bedrooms share a private bathroom with corner bath, separate shower, wash basin and toilet. We are child friendly and could provide a travel cot, bed guard and high chair. Our garden has lots for a child's interest including a slide, swings and cars. We offer bed and breakfast, which can be eaten in our dining room, conservatory or the garden. We are happy to offer catered or self service - it is your decision. Vegetarians and those needing a paleo diet can be accommodated, just ask. There is also tea/coffee facilities in each room, and some snacks are provided. We are conveniently located for exploring the local area, and can offer plenty of advice on what to see and do. (See below) Lytchett Matravers is conveniently located for the ports of Poole and Weymouth, and we could accommodate parking for a trailer or caravan if required. There are two pubs in the village which provide food within walking distance, although there is wider choice only a short distance away. Guest AccessWe are best approached by car, as public transport is rather limited, although, with notice, we could collect from Poole railway station. We will provide a key for independent access. Interaction with GuestsAs this is our home we would love to meet and chat with any guests, But of course, if you want a private, quiet visit, just say! Breakfast will be at your request and we are happy to offer advice for your stay. Cindy is an historian, so do say if you want any information about the area and its heritage (day trips can be arranged covering prehistory to the Victorians if you would like!) The NeighborhoodLytchett Matravers is a quiet friendly village, which reflects the area. The pace of life is great, busy enough for atmosphere, but still retaining the Dorset quaintness. We would like to use our B&B to share this with other people. Getting AroundSadly public transport is not great here in the village, although the service between Poole and London on the train is good (2hours). We could collect from the station if required. Bournemouth is our closest airport (40 mins) or Southampton (45 mins). Heathrow and Gatwick are about 1.5 hours away, and the road connections are good. We have room for parking in front or at the side of the house, all of which is off-road. We are close to the cycle way around Poole and Purbeck (and have space to store bikes). Other Things to NoteWe do have an elderly ginger tom cat, called Alfie and a friendly Jack Russell called Millie. They are important members of the family.
