The SpaceYour very own Master bedroom with ensuite! We live in a rural sub-division 8 kms from Maclean, 17 Kms from Brooms Head Beach and 18 kms from Yamba Seaside Resort. We have lots of native birds that come and feed, as well as Wallabies and Kangaroos, you can even see them in street (must be one of the last places you can do that). We moved here 7 years ago and love it, with mild winters and very warm summers. The room we offer is actually the master bedroom with en suite, as we have moved to a back bedroom near the other bathroom. It is a very quiet area with all homes (87) on acreage in the estate. Would be best for people that are travelling and have a car, although there are bus services. We are in a very quiet rural setting, clubs and restaurants are 8km away. Maclean is the "Scottish Town of Australia" and so has over 200 light posts painted with various tartans, quite unique. The area is also known for growing sugar cane, and Maclean is situated on the Mighty Clarence river. The two clubs in Maclean offer courtesy buses, but there is no public transport available, so a car is really necessary. Interaction with GuestsWe enjoy chatting with our guests over breakfast or a cup of tea/coffee and telling them about the area. The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is very quiet with a lot of native birds and of course kangaroos. We have a spacious garden and there is plenty of parking space Other Things to NoteWe have a small elderly dog and cats

The SpaceThe unit is in a quiet area yet close to the CBD. It would suit professionals with contract work in the area; couples travelling through the region; those in Grafton to visit with family; or attending Grafton's many key event such as Race Week, Jacaranda, Art Gallery openings, concerts, Ski and Dragon boat racing, sailing, rowing and fishing, hockey, netball or football carnivals. The unit accomodates a single adult or a couple. Guest AccessThe unit has its own private entrance. The guests have sole use of the unit, and can have shared access to a large family room opening onto pool if more space is needed (by request). The pool and spa are available to guests after discussion re specifics, and the riverbank, jetty and river are also available for guest use. The unit is on the ground floor of my home and does not have river views. However the river levy is only 20 m away and has a bench for relaxing with river views. Interaction with GuestsI enjoy company but am quite comfortable for the guest/s to be self contained and private. I offer coffee or a drink when we first meet but the amount of interaction desired would be up to the guests. The NeighborhoodI live in a quiet and friendly street. We are on the river and there is an expanse of riverbank (privately owned) to enjoy the birds, the trees, water activities and the huge river. Grafton is a wonderful older town, with gracious homes, but modern shopping centre, Art Deco picture theatre, a beautiful Art Gallery and lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants. It hosts the Jacaranda festival in October/November, July Horse Racing carnival, numerous soccer and hockey carnivals, the October long weekend Ski race, and training camps for rowing and sailing. Getting AroundAs in most country towns, the only public transport within the town is the bus service. The closest bus stop is 2.5 blocks away. Taxis are always available. Grafton has a large railway station, and a main airport as well as an airport for light aircraft. Transfer or pick up from the station / airport could be arranged if needed and is suitable. Other Things to NoteAs host, please let me know immediately if there is any issue of which I should be aware that may impact on your stay. Or if there is anything that you need which is not available in the unit.

This is a self-contained family unit. This is really for families who would like to self-cater. However, breakfast will still be provided, as normal for up to 4 people. The Unit has 2 large bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed, one with 2 single beds, a lounge room (that can sleep another 2 people with large fold-out sofa, making a total of accommodation for 6), a bathroom and full kitchen. It is a quite a large space, 63 sq. m.. It also has a two leafy outdoor area out front, an access to a courtyard, which are both very peaceful. Self-catering is easy with a generous refrigerator, microwave, and all the kitchen facilities you would expect. Naturally, as with all other guests we are happy for you to dine with us as well, should you wish on any night you are here. It's your choice. NBN Wifi is available in the unit as well for any device. The Family Unit is located under the house. It is not elevated as the other B&B; Rooms are, thus does not have the same views. However, this also means that it is accessible to guests who are disabled and perfect for a family with kids. The front door is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. As guests you are more than welcome on the deck upstairs, enjoying the views and the company of others should you wish to do so.
