The SpacePrivate 1 BR 1950s guest house converted from 1930s golfcourse stable. Steps from Riverside Village, bus stop across the street, on primary bike lane - 3mi from 5points (heart of east nashville) & 5mi from downtown. Private yard & patio, pet friendly, pool! This is a great space to get to know Nashville and one of the coolest neighborhoods in the country from! Guest AccessGarden, pool with deck, great private fenced yard, firepit, patio, screened porch. Fully private home with shared parking. Interaction with GuestsWe are on the property and available to help you find your way around and offer any tips on places to go and things to do! We can't wait to meet you! The NeighborhoodEast Nashville is THE BEST part of the city! We are a diverse and eclectic neighborhood with a little bit of everything -- art, music, soul food, fancy food, smoky bars, not-smoky bars, parks, greenways, festivals celebrating tomatoes, beer, bacon, burlesque, whiskey, hot chicken, hootenanies, movies, music, music, and more music. We love a reason to have a party! We even rank as a top neighborhood in the country!! :) (URL HIDDEN) Some info on the area surrounding The Cottage: What’s walkable o Riverside Village Pharmacy: an independently-owned, full-service compounding drug store and gift shop with organic products, home goods and friendly staff. ((URL HIDDEN) o Castrillo’s – pizza shop that puts all of the chain stores to shame. Order ahead, pick it up (they can also deliver – (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) and if the weather is nice eat it in the Riverside Village Community Garden next door. They also make calzones, subs, salads, hot chicken wings and pasta. ((URL HIDDEN) o Rudies Seafood, Sausage & Taproom – A recent addition, Rudies is a true oyster bar (a rarity in Nashville) with a menu that is truly an American mix. The Ceviche changes daily and the Jambalaya can easily hold its own in New Orleans. ((URL HIDDEN) o Village Pub and Beer Garden – A pub with a great selection of beers brewed in Middle Tennessee (and beyond). There’s smoking on the outside porch, and inside it’s smoke-free. They have a good, simple food menu with items ranging from giant soft pretzels with beer cheese to a local meat and cheese plate. “Mule Monday” means half-off their many mule beverages: Moscow Mule-vodka & ginger beer; English Ass – gin & ginger beer; Thoroughbred – bourbon & ginger beer, etc… ((URL HIDDEN) o Mitchell Delicatessen – this place has consistently been rated Nashville’s best deli with a years-long commitment to source almost everything they use locally. Their breakfast bar is a great deal (scratch biscuit filled with a homemade sausage patty is only a $1.25) and the sandwiches cover a world of flavors. ((URL HIDDEN) o Bailey & Cato – this is an honest-to-goodness traditional southern meat-and-three. The food is very yummy, but it’s not the greatest place to sit and eat so you probably want to get your food to go and eat it in the Riverside Village Community Garden (behind Rudies). Their fried chicken is some of the best I’ve tasted in Nashville, but it requires waiting 20 minutes since they make it to order (well worth the wait). ((URL HIDDEN) o Fond Object – this place is a mess of eclectic awesomeness offering records, live music, vintage clothing and more. They showcase local acts in their back yard, so if you hear music outside go have a gander. A room in the front of the store houses Black by Maria Silver ((URL HIDDEN) offering contemporary women’s clothing designed and made in house. ((URL HIDDEN) o M and M Furniture – a junk store. There’s no telling what you’ll find inside so it’s fun (but dusty) to rummage through. o Citgo – convenience store o Kroger – supermarket chain o Walgreens – pharmacy chain o Sinkers Wine & Spirits – liquor and wine store ((URL HIDDEN) o Little Caesars – pizza chain ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) Getting AroundBus stop across the street. On the main bike lane that can take you anywhere around the city. Uber and Lyft are both available.

The SpacePrivate room with a king size bed easily fits two people (I have a twin air mattress which can be pulled out to accommodate a third) person. You will also have full use of your own private bathroom during your stay. The house is small but clean and cozy. I have a friendly dog, but he can be confined to the back part of the house so that you don't have to interact with him if you'd prefer not to. I am usually working on some sort of home related project. I would describe my place a warm, comfy and bohemian. There are so many restaurants and bars within a five minute drive (some within walking distance) and I am 15 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from The Grand Ole Opry and Opryland Resort. Words I would use to describe my home: eclectic, artsy, fun, cozy, unique, clean, evolving, well-situated and quiet. Words I would not use to describe my home: Pretentious, stuffy, unfriendly, boring. Guest AccessIn addition to your private bedroom and bathroom, you will have access to all common areas (living room & kitchen), as well as wifi and Roku tv, fresh towels, shampoo, essentials like hair dryer, iron, etc. You are welcome to use the kitchen to cook, and I will also provide you with lots of information about local spots to eat, drink and shop. I'll have coffee, tea, water, soda, etc. as well as simple breakfast supplies and snacks on-hand. There is free parking right in front of the house, and additional parking on the street. Interaction with GuestsInteraction can be as much or little as you prefer. I want you to feel comfortable during your stay. I will be more than happy to chat about great stuff to do while you are in town, share a meal if I happen to be cooking, or give you a ride somewhere if you don't have access to a car, etc. My bedroom/office space is separate from the rest of the house, so if privacy and and quiet are what you are looking for, you will feel right at home. The NeighborhoodEast Nashville/Inglewood is a unique and eclectic neighborhood, filled with creative people, funky coffee shops, unique dining, shopping and nightlife. Getting AroundPublic transportation in Nashville is not the best, but there is a fairly decent bus system and I am located close to several bus stops. Uber and Lyft are both great low-cost transportation options in this neighborhood, and usually show up within 5-10 minutes. Other Things to NotePlaces of interest in East Nashville: Restaurants: Eastland Café, Rosepepper Cantina, Margot Cafe, Marche, Thai Phooket, Five Points Pizza, Lockeland Table, The Wild Cow, Bailey & Cato, Holland House, Pharmacy Burger, Mas Tacos, Far East, Mad Donna’s, Las Maracas, Nomzilla and many, many more. Bars/Pubs: The Village Pub, Mickey's, Family Wash, 3 Crow Bar, Beyond The Edge, Red Door East, 308, Drifter's, Fran's Eastside Tavern, The Edgefield, Tenn 16, and many, many more. Music Venues: The Family Wash, 5 Spot, Foobar Coffee Shops: Bongo Java, Sip, Portland Brew, Ugly Mugs, Barista Parlor. These lists only include businesses in the immediate neighborhood of East Nashville/Inglewood. Nashville is full of so many fantastic food/music/nightlife/shopping/tourism options, and I will gladly give you lots of information and recommendations on where to go and how to get there.

The SpaceWhen on safari in Africa, one wishes to see lions and elephants and alligators up close, from the safety of a heavily armored vehicle. A successfully executed journey to Nashville is like this. Yes, you want biscuits. Honky-tonks. A Country Music Fanpocalypse. But you also want to avoid the dangers of Nashville life: heart disease, cheating spouses, bovine- related injuries. Of all the neighborhoods in Nashville, only East Nashville offers you the genuine Nashville experience from the safety of a cultured, non-ironic reprieve just across the river from vast hordes of touristy Taylor Swift stalkers. Our home, a vintage ranch with a modern soul, is geographically essential to the neighborhood, the heart of the heart of the heart of the south. With attractions just a short drive away, you’ll easily have your pick of both local favorites and nationally renowned icons. Here’s the short list of both: Nationally Renowned Icons (all approximately 10 minutes from our Nashville home) • Roberts Western World: It’s the tonkiest you’ll find. Ask the bouncer and they’ll have someone break a beer bottle on your head free of charge. • Grand Ole Opry: Minnie Pearl died, but country stuff still happens here, and it’s really awesome. • Ryman Auditorium: You should be advised that we will probably force you to see a show here, unless you hate good music. • Hatch Show Print: Love letterpress? So do we! Hatch is the iconic home, where music married art. Buy a poster. Local Favorites • Shelby Bottoms: One of Nashville’s largest parks, the trail-way's entrance is just three blocks away from us. • Jeni’s Ice Cream: You could go to Italy for gelato, but while you stuffed your face you’d be surrounded by Euro super models. Here, you can revel with the down-home crowd and walk away with your self esteem intact. • Riverside Village: It’s like a residential Russian nesting doll, a village inside a neighborhood inside a city. But truly, within walking distance of our home you’re in the midst of a community of loving, adoring fans, all ready to support and encourage you as you live your life. It’s that quaint. Of course, we’re glossing over the nationally renowned restaurants, the craft bars, the Mexi/Arab/Pan-Asian corridor that is Nolensville Road, and all the other myriad treasures to be found in Nashville. We’ll have plenty of time to talk details once you’re here. For now you just need to know that if it’s a quintessential Nashville experience you want, there’s no better place than the Vintage Mod Ranch, East Nashville. The house is a 1952 ranch; please take advantage of the full kitchen and large fenced in backyard. There is also a fire pit where you can relax at night and enjoy the sounds of the Grand Ole’ Opry drifting from across the river. You have access to the laundry room. Tea, coffee, bottled water, along with oatmeal and granola bars will be provided. Smoking allowed outside. Last-minute reservations are usually no problem. Guest AccessThe entire house is available to you you and your companions. The front door is a key pad lock and the code will be sent to you on the morning of your arrival. Interaction with GuestsWe will be out of town during your stay but don't hesitate to call or message us. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is quite and we are a 10 minute drive from downtown. Getting AroundIf you have a car parking is no problem, use the driveway. We are about a mile and a half from some great bars and restaurants. There are bus stops between us and the restaurants but riding the bus requires patience. Uber and Lyft are also great options for this area. Other Things to NotePlease leave the house in the condition you found it. No need to make or strip the bed a service will be in to clean. Dirty dishes can be rinsed and put in the dishwasher for running later.

I now work as a catering Chef for Vanderbilt University. Please also note because the city of Nashville requires Short term rentals to collect hotel occupancy tax and a hotel tax of $2.50 per night as of July 1st, 2015. Since airbnb does not have this fee set into our system I need to collect this money in cash upon your arrival. When you book I can message the proper amount for you. I am so sorry for this inconvenience This money goes to the city not in my pocket.

The SpaceOur space feels kind of Country French with some Modern blended in. 2 things that make our place unique is how quiet it is here and how much light fills our space. The apartment is about 900 square feet. The second bedroom closes off from the dining room with elegant french doors. The decor is quite nice and feels like an oasis from the world, but it also very much an indoor/outdoor space that lends itself well to cooking, with the front door open to the yard, while someone is working outside on the nook and watching rabbits and squirrels, while someone else plays music in one room, and someone else is taking a nap in the other. It is a little slice of heaven For sleeping, the master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has a new queen size futon and an extra twin futon bed. . Guest AccessGuests have a full kitchen, two private bedrooms, media room, laundry, and deck off a private back yard. The neighborhood is totally quiet but if you are a musician, it's a great place to play and write. We are 5 minute drive from hipster Five Points area in East Nashville, 10 min drive to Shelby Bottoms State Park and Music City Greenway Bike Trails, 15 min drive to downtown, Music Row and Vanderbilt, and about 25 min drive to Radnor Lake and Percey Warner State Park for amazing hiking and biking. Interaction with GuestsGuest can reach me any time via email. A key will be left in a predetermined location. And while you won't see me during your stay, my rental manager is on premises. The NeighborhoodThis is a great neighborhood, with great neighbors. It is quiet and peaceful, but right around the corner from some of Nashville's best restaurants and music venues. Getting AroundNeed a car. Taxis and buses are close by. Other Things to NoteWe are in neighborhood characterized by woods and rolling hill, about 3 blocks from the Cumberland River. If you like to cook this is a wonderful fully equipped kitchen. With the couch and futon, the apartment can actually sleep 6 comfortably. If you want to write a hit song, or just enjoy some private, quiet time to replenish your wits, then this is the spot!!

The SpaceThis place is truly special. A white adobe style 1950's house on a hill on 2 wooded acres just a few minutes from downtown Nashville. There are gardens, decks, bamboo groves, views, swings and even a basketball court. And best of all, there is an enclosed liveable treehouse that acts as an additional bedroom, study, living room, etc. I'm an artist, so the house is filled with my own work and that of friends and family members. My friends have affectionately named the property "Louise Canyon" (Louise is my middle name) because it reminds them of Laurel Canyon in L.A. It's a truly magical spot. The house is roughly 1,700 square feet and the treehouse is about 140. It is located in Inglewood, just a few minutes from 5 points in East Nashville and about 10 minutes north of downtown Nashville. It's a few blocks off of Ellington Parkway, which makes it easily accessible to any interstate. There is a flat screen TV in the living room with apple tv, wifi throughout, a laundry room, and a wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen has original tile, gourmet-height corian counters and a beautiful 50's working gas stove. The whole house is decorated with antique and vintage furniture, original art and thoughtful accents. The house is currently set up for a couple with a young child (plus a guest room), but it could also accommodate a few friends or a larger family. One bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom is a little girls room with a twin size bed in it. The third bedroom is a guest room with a daybed. And the treehouse has a double bed and a couch. We also have a twin size air mattress that can be set up if needed as well as a comfy couch. Please let us know if you will need the air mattress, as we occasionally loan it out. Pets- We have 2 cats that live indoors and out. They usually stay at the house when it's rented short term, but we take them with us for longer term rentals. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to use any parts of the house. We usually don't clean up the laundry room before rentals, so excuse the mess in there! Guests can use the yard/gardens/deck. Please refrain from using the grill unless discussed with us first. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen and all equipment, plates, silverware, pots and pans, etc. We do not provide any food or beverage, but there is always room in the fridge for your own things. There is a supermarket very closeby on the corner of Gallatin and Greenfield. Interaction with GuestsWe will do our best to meet you at the property, but if we are unavailable in person, we will be available by phone or email anytime. The NeighborhoodWe live on two acres on a residential street, so you will have plenty of peace and quiet. It is a short drive from 5 points, riverside village and any other spot in East nashville. Also very quick drive to downtown or Germantown. Getting AroundThis house will work best for travelers with a car. We are located very close to Ellington Parkway, which means you can get to any part of town in 10-20 minutes. Less than 10 from downtown.
