The SpaceThe 3 bedroom house is filled with plants, old furniture, art and relics from a time forgotten. Its free flowing spaces are designed to let in ocean breezes and a bit of rain.
Upstairs is the Boozy Bougainvillea Room; it has casual seating and converts to a sleep-space that generously accommodates 2 to 4 adults. If you want it set as a bedroom, let me know while booking.
Downstairs, the Plumeria Room features an antique bed inlaid with tiles, and has an open to sky bathroom, home to a gnarly plumeria tree.
That, and the cozy Hibiscus Room accommodate 2 adults each.
The dining room opens out to a verandah, and a lawn shaded by coconut palms.
The reading room has a daybed piled high with cushions. It's the perfect spot to curl up with a book unless you choose to lie under the mango trees. Guest AccessGuests have access to the whole house. Interaction with GuestsAvailable when needed. The NeighborhoodThe house is set down a private road a minute's walk away from a clean, quiet beach, perfect for wave-gazing.
The sea is choppy; swimming is not recommended.

Pondicherry is roughly 80km/an hour and a half away by car.
A wide variety of dining options are available close by Getting AroundOcean Song is about 45 minutes away from the city and the airport, and 10 minutes from Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram)
It is most convenient for guests to have their own transport, though a car can be arranged locally on request.
Pondicherry is about 80km/ an hour and a half away by car. Other Things to NoteOcean Song is for guests who want a quiet stay. There is no TV or internet.
The terrace and gardens are perfect for an intimate party or family event, which can be arranged at an extra cost.
The home is self-service/catering. The caretaker and his wife handle general cleaning, make beds and help with laundry. They speak Tamil and very basic English.
Kitchen & Dining
Some complimentary breakfast supplies - cereal, milk, bread and eggs provided on day one. If your diet doesn't include any of these, let me know while booking, I'd be happy to provide some seasonal fruit instead.
Tea, coffee, and one litre of mineral water per room complimentary.
Appliances etc - induction and gas stove, microwave oven, fridge, pots & pans. Washing up supplies available.
Other Amenities- first aid kit, an emergency contact card, and an 'in case you forgot' basket with a small selection of toiletries.
If you're travelling with staff, a driver's room/bathroom on the premises available at a nominal charge of Rs.500/- per night. It is insect screened, sleeps at least two, and is equipped with a fan and basic bedding.
Power supply in the village is unpredictable at best. Our UPS system runs fans and lights.
