Interaction with GuestsHi - I am Gill and I live on Boracay and look after the bookings for Hangin for the owner. I hope you have a wonderful time and experience at Hangin - Diniwid is one of my favourite places on the island and somewhere to retreat to away from the hustle and bustle of White Beach from time to time. Should you have any problems during your stay please report this to Sharon who in turn will contact me if she is unable to resolve it. Contact numbers will be provided on confirmation of your booking. The NeighborhoodLocated in the “Din-iwid” area of Boracay, the villa is located on a hilltop, merely steps away from its own exclusive beach featuring a few charming restaurants and luxury cliff top resorts; and where you can enjoy the white sand and crystal blue waters during the day, and sunset cocktails in the evenings.
Din-iwid bay is tucked away but readily accessible to the world famous White Beach by a 10 minute stroll along the coast or by a short trike ride along the main road to the D'mall shopping and dining area. With a choice of settings to suit your every mood, you can relax, enjoy high adrenaline water sports, world-class diving or party the night away, the choice is yours.
The house is fully furnished for your pleasure and enjoyment, with the décor and interior accents designed in keeping with the open living style.
Note that part of the experience of living under an open and natural grass roof house, is to expect the odd bug and gecko – both are harmless. The use of traditional materials and a local design, means that the house is solid for rain and wind, creates a completely dry and cosy environment. This is one of the delightful features of the villa; whilst being so open, you feel totally protected against the elements.
Note that Hangin Villa is fully furnished; a detailed inventory of all items inside the house is kept and checked upon departure. In the unlikely event of any damaged items, the renter shall pay for any damages on the leased premises including the furniture, appliances and other items listed in the inventor for its repair, replacement or by paying the cost of the damaged item(s).
The entrance to the Pulang Lupa Residence is located on Din-iwid beach road, Din-iwid, past the local white church on the left and 2 gates past Boracay Holiday Apartments on the left side. The entrance is a discreet small bamboo gate with the number 0950 plate on the palm tree.
Getting AroundBy foot, you are only a short 5 minute walk to Din-iwid beach and 10 minutes to White Beach walking along the coast.
Apart from walking, trikes are the most common method of transport on the island, and you are a short trike ride along the main road to the D'mall shopping and dining area. Expect to pay PHP100 if you wish to be alone in the trike or simply hop onto a moving trike and pay PHP 20 per person on arriving at your destination.
Trikes to and from Cagan jetty port (main arrival port to the Island) is around PHP 100-150 for your sole use.
Trikes are easily caught on Din-iwid road by the entrance to Pulang Lupa or at the entrance of Din-iwid beach or on the main road, when exiting Din-iwid.
Should you wish to rent a motorbike, there is a local motorbike rental place. Simply turn left upon exiting the Pulang Lupa gate, walk about 150 meters down towards the beach and you will come across the rental shop, 100 meters before the unsealed road. Ask for Glen or Josephine and mention you are staying at Hangin Villa in Pulang Lupa.
Other than the main beach, White Beach, there are a couple of other beaches worth exploring. One is Bolabog Beach which is where you can watch or have a go at kite-surfing. Then there’s Puka beach for a totally different atmosphere to White Beach – it’s quieter and less developed with a couple of good restaurants located right on the beach. You can get a trike there for around PHP 100. Also near this end of the Island is the bat cave and crystal cave where you can see bats, spiders and sea snakes, ask for a guide and make sure you agree on a price before you start the tour.
Other than that, keep exploring! There’s plenty more to do and see.
