Planning a peaceful summer vacation in Maine? Looking to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage or abundant fishing that our lake has to offer? Stay at our cozy, lakefront, two bedroom camp. The larger bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed, closet, and dressers. The second bedroom is furnished with a bunk bed, one twin bed, and a small dresser. There is also a full-sized, sleeper sofa and an extra cot. There is a fully equipped, eat-in kitchen, a living room with cable tv (channels 2-24), wireless internet, a DVD player, local telephone service, a monitor heater, and a bathroom with a standing shower. Enjoy the lake on rainy days and buggy evenings on the spacious, screened-in porch. It is furnished with a table and chairs, rocking chairs, and a porch swing. Our front yard is accessible to all. We have a large, flat lawn leading down to the lake. The lake is gradual, so it is great swimming for young children However, our end of the lake is quite shallow and weedy beyond the dock area, so the swimming is not for everyone. We have many outdoor amenities for your enjoyment including a dock, picnic table, propane grill, paddle boat and lifejackets, horseshoe pits, and fire pit. If you have a boat, you are welcome to bring it. There is a public boat ramp near by. Torsey Shores is a quiet lake, great for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and enjoying the fall foliage. Fish for bass, white & yellow perch, and pickerel. See ospreys, ducks, heron, otters, geese, and loons. If you are looking for a simple camp on a beautiful lake, you will not be disappointed! Beds: 1 Queen Bed, 3 Twin Beds, 1 Sofa Bed Deposits: To hold your week, we require a deposit of half the rental rate. The rest will be required 30 days before your arrival. If there is less than 30 days prior to your arrival date, payment in full is expected. A signed rental agreement is required as well as a $150.00 security deposit, which is refundable if the camp is left and in good condition. You will also be charged 8% lodging tax. So, if you are walking on our neighbors property, please respect it like it was your own. For example: don't litter and if walking your dog, pick up after them. Within a few hundred yards to the east, there is a Circle K convenience store where you can pick up milk, bread, butter, coffee, drinks, snacks, homemade doughnuts and even beer, wine and liquor. Manchester "center" has a Rite Aid, post office, Duncan Donuts, Subway and a couple of gas/convenience stores and is between 1/4 and 1/2 mile to the west. Other Things to NoteThere is a supermarket 2 miles from the motel and a couple of convenience stores within walking distance. We have some of the best locally owned restaurants and most of the chain restaurants within a 6 mile radius. Downtown Hallowell is a quick 6 mile drive and has the best nightlife in the area.

This is one of the "Grand Old Maine Cottages" built at the turn of the century on nationally famous Cobbosseecontee Lake. Cobbossee Lake is known for great bass fishing, swimming and boating, with many wonderful islands to explore. The charming and vintage 7 bedroom cottage has plenty of room for your family. The fully applianced kitchen has 2 gas stoves, microwave, dishwasher and large refrigerator. On the first floor, there is also a large living room with a propane fireplace and monitor heater, dining room, office, butlers pantry, 1 bathroom with a toilet, vanity, large shower and washer and dryer, and 1 bedroom with a queen size bed. Upstairs there are 6 more bedrooms - Bedroom 1 - 2 twin beds and a small bay window with a side view of the lake Bedroom 2 - 1 twin bed but no lake view Bedroom 3 - 2 twin beds, a spare twin mattress under one of the beds, and a tv Bedroom 4 - full size bed and a spare twin mattress under the bed and side lake view Bedroom 5 - king bed with best lake view Bedroom 6 - full size bed with side lake view. The bathroom upstairs has a soaking tub with hand held shower, toilet, and vanity. The wrap around porch facing the lake is where everyone gathers to soak in the lake views. A fabulous breeze usually kicks up in the afternoon, coming off the lake. The large dining table is great for meals and games and there is a lot of additional seating too. The southern exposure means sun most of the day! Our cottage is still in much of it's original condition with beadboard and wood finish throughout, but does have (and continues to get each year) updates to make it work for today. WiFi and cable are included with your rental. There is also a large dock which is suitable for docking 2 boats, a paddle boat, 2 standup paddle boards, and 3-4 kayaks for your enjoyment. The waterfront is rocky and drops off quickly, so for older kids and adults you can jump off the end of the dock with no worries, but you will need to keep an eye on little ones. Fishing is great off the dock too! Given the central location, you can easily travel easterly to the coast or westerly to the mountains, all within an hour drive. Camden/Rockport/Rockland area is a great spot to visit for a charming coastal towns, shopping, and 5 star restaurants. Freeport has great outlets. And if you are willing to travel a bit farther check out Pemaquid Point lighthouse for bold open ocean, or head up to Sugarloaf mountain for a gondola ride up to the top of one of Maine's best ski mountains. Golf is also available in several courses within a 30 minute drive. This is a true "summer cottage" and although it is rustic, we think it is comfortable and comforting! Of course, with an old cottage sometimes things decide not to work properly, but we try to fix everything promptly to minimize the disruption. Our goal is to make your stay memorable in a good way! This is our home - we use it and we want it to stay in good repair. We expect our guests to treat the home as if it were theirs, which means everything in the house can be used as you wish, but it also needs to be left in the condition you found it when you arrived. We will start you off with basic supplies, but there are other items available for your use (spices, sugar, flour, condiments, etc). If you use something up, please replace it for the next guest. If you break something, please replace it - or at least let us know about it. If you bring your pet, please make sure all the waste is picked up and the house thoroughly cleaned when you go, because not everyone is fond of dog hair on the furniture!! This is a quiet neighborhood so it isn't the place to hold a large rowdy party. The cottage will sleep 13 in beds and 2 on the floor, but it really can't handle more than about 20 people. Parking is limited - 5 cars is the maximum you can fit on the property and there is no parking on the street. It is meant for quiet enjoyment and family/friends time. If this is what you want, then this is a perfect spot!

You may want to get up when the sun rises to see the incredible colors in the sky and the reflection on the water! What a way to enjoy that first cup of coffee! Enjoy the evenings sitting on the deck around the 32' LP Gas Outdoor Fire bowl. The loons calling to their mates in the calm of the evening will leave a lasting impression you'll never forget! Maine --- the way life should be! Our previous renters are impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage, friendly and helpful management, and all the many small details provided that make this property such a special place to vacation!
