The SpaceThis is a lovely home, nestled in the woods, on 200 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline with a large deck and a suspended wooden walkway to the beach. Great location for fall color, summer beach fun, hunting and fishing. Guest AccessThere are many sightseeing locations within easy driving distance including Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, many state parks, glass bottom boat rides, waterfalls, wildlife sanctuaries and fishing, boating, canoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Here are a few UP sightseeing places we regularly go to within driving distance of our home for day trips: Big Spring is 20 miles away, its called Kitch-iti-Kipi in Palms Book State Park, amazing turquise blue spring fed lake, full of trout, with a sightseeing boat/raft thats free of charge. Our kids love this, we go every year. Pictured Rocks is 60 miles away, gorgeous State Park and tour boats to travel along the cliffs Fayette Historic State Park is 41 miles away in Garden MI. It is a historic town site from a once bustling copper mining community. Its fun to walk through and there is a nice visitors center. Kids can dress in period costumes in some of the buildings. Tahquamenon Falls State Park is 85 miles away, lovely upper and lower falls with a good eating place and boats to rent. Seney WildLife Refuge, 34 miles away, great visitors center for kids and hiking Northland Outfitters, 30 miles away, canoe and kayak rentals for the river there Whitefish Point is 106 miles away, beautiful Lake Superior Shoreline, with lighthouse and shipwreck museum Seul Choix Pointe Lighthouse, 19 miles in Gulliver Michigan Glass bottom boat Shipwreck tours, 56 miles, Munising Michigan, Lake Superior tour that's really pretty and interesting for kids and adults The Michibay home with its wonderful beach and house features along with these places to visit make this great location for family fun! Located on McDonald Lake, 1600 acres, near the small town of Gulliver, MI. It has 2 full size beds and a small roll-away. It has a fully furnished kitchen area. Includes Satellite TV. It comes with a 14' fishing boat. There is a public landing a short distance away if you have your own boat. If your looking for a beautiful view with great sunsets we have it. Additional pictures are available downloaded to your e-mail address. The Rent, Check for rates below, we give discounts for additional weeks. It only takes a $100.00. deposit to hold your week. Lake Michigan is located a short distance away. If you are interested in seeing some of the sites around the U.P. let us know. We do not accept reservation from outside the United States. Availability: We are accepting reservations now, for the season starting April 23th through October 15th, 2016. 2016 Rates We will be accepting reservations for the summer of 2016. Any reservations made prior to June 1st may be canceled or changed at anytime on availability. After June 1st any deposit will only be kept if the week rented cannot be filled. For Your Information Directions to Cottage Directions: After you cross the bridge take US highway 2 west 75 miles to the small town of Gulliver located 14 miles east of the City of Manistique.. At the caution light at Gulliver make a left turn and follow the black top road (Port Inland Road) County Road 432 approx. 3 miles. Watch for the sign on the left (Balog’s on the Bay) fire number 1788W. Turn left into a gravel drive and follow the drive to the second cottage from the right. Park on the right side of the cottage and you are there. General info: The cottage comes with a small 14 ft. fishing boat no motor. Personal bath towel, wash cloths and beach towels are not furnished, bath tissue is furnished along with dish towels and cleaning products for the kitchen and bath. There is a Laundromat located in Manistique. A super market, hardware, clothing stores and other misc. stores are located in Manistique. Gulliver has a small general grocery store and gas station party store. Check -in time is after 4:00 PM, Check-out time is 12:00 NOON. If arriving after 7 PM please call so that we can make arrangements with the keys. If in need of further informaton contact the owner. The nearest Outboard Motor rental is in Curtis, MI there are two places in this town. They are rented on availability. Directly behind and to the north of the cabin is 800 hundred thousand acres of Hiawatha National Forest with trails from both the cabin and lake properties that give you direct access to the forest.

          Fully furnished two bedroom cottage on Indian Lake. Living room has electric fire place and one of the best sunset views on Indian Lake. Floor plan includes living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and small bathroom with shower. Includes cable TV and WiFi. Outside is a great place to sit and relax or fish and swim off the end of the dock. Fishing year round with boat rentals close by. The driveway is shared with neighbors but there is plenty of parking directly behind the cabin. Room for you to park your boat or ATV. This is a cobblestone beach and has great swimming off the end of the dock. This cottage is seasonable and is only available April 1 to October 31.

            We offer four 2 bedroom cabins (see other online listings at VRBO#914152, 914199 ). Our Cabins have two full beds, living room, kitchen and bath. All bed linens, kitchen utensils and dishes are supplied. All linens are professionally laundered after each guest. You only need to bring towels and soap to enjoy! A private dock is available for your use. We also offer two heavy moorings for your boat. Grills, a fire pit and picnic tables are on the grounds. Our picturesque scenery, warm summers, and mild falls provide a breath-taking change of scenery through brilliant colors. Cell Service: Sprint Cell Service is almost nonexistent in the UP, Verizon and AT&T users have good service at this location.

Welcome to our classic A-frame beach front home on Lake Michigan in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. If you come during winter, the snowmobiling will not disappoint. There are many groomed trails in Manistique - along the Manistique River and through scenic forests. There are 2,000 miles of groomed trails winding through the U.P. Hike around on our 10 acres, or head out to some of the best hiking trails in the state. Indian Lake State Park, Fox River Pathway, Ashford Lake Pathway. A propane grill will get your group fired up for some great meals. If you bring your four-legged friend, there is a fenced in area behind the garage. The beach is adjacent to the cottage. If some grown-up entertainment is required, The Kewadin Casino will pick you up at the cabin and return your group (of at least 4) as well. Unique day trips are popular with all of our guests: Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is 59 miles; Tahquamenon Falls State Park is 85 miles; Mackinac Bridge is under 2 hours. The land between the cottage and the beach can be weedy and muddy, depending on the weather. Cell phone service at the cottage is virtually nonexistent, but we have a landline for your use. We have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, plus a main floor full kitchen. Although there is not air conditioning at the cottage, opening the windows in the Upper Peninsula, normally provides the ideal breeze to keep the cottage at a comfortable temperature. Plus, we have fans at the cottage as well. We have well water, so at times there is a sulfur smell that occurs. Normally, that dissipates once the water is run for a period of time. The joys of natural well water. Sleeping arrangements: *Linens are provided* Bedroom #1 (upstairs in an open loft): King size bed. Bedroom #2 (main floor, adjacent to the kitchen): 2 twin size beds. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS Big Springs "Kich-iti-kipi": Michigan's largest freshwater spring. Two hundred feet across, and 40-feet deep. Over 10,000 gallons a minute gush from fissures in the underlying limestone at a constant 45 degree Fahrenheit. By means of a self-operated observation raft, visitors are guided to vantage points overlooking fascinating underwater features and fantasies. Ancient tree trunks, lime-encrusted branches and fat trout appear suspended in nothingness as they slip through crystal waters far below. Clouds of sand kept in constant motion by gushing waters create ever-changing shapes and forms, a challenge to the imagination of young and old alike. Indian Lake Golf Course: A very popular, 18-hole golf course along Indian Lake. Just 5 miles from the Cabin. The Kewadin Casino: It is approximately 10 minutes (7 miles) from the Lodge. If you make reservations, they will pick you up at the cabin and return your group as well. Historic Manistique Water Tower: The Old Water Tower is one of the many historic sites in Schoolcraft County. Built in 1923 and constructed in the "Roman revival" style, it is also listed in the national register. The renovated building will provide space for arts related public events and public rest room facilities while preserving one of Manistique's unique and historic buildings. Fayette State Park & Historic Town site: Fayette was once one of the Upper Peninsula's most productive iron-smelting operations. Located on the Garden Peninsula at Snail Shell Harbor. When the charcoal iron market began to decline, the Jackson Iron Company closed its Fayette smelting operation in 1891. It is now a completely restored village including 22 historic buildings, museum exhibits and the visitor center, which can be toured May through October. The historic site is located in Fayette State Park. Snowmobiling: There are many groomed trails in Manistique for you to enjoy.               An ideal place to get away as a couple or small family. This cabin is a pleasant and relaxing vacation spot. We are located in Manistique, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. Located along Indian Lake, which is 8400 acre Spring fed lake. This area is great for swimming, hiking, golfing, biking, fishing, hunting and sight seeing. Spend the day at the beach and enjoy water sports and boating. Then, spend the evening having a tasty barbeque and a soothing bonfire. There is a front and back screened in porch with chairs so that you can enjoy being outside in the fresh air! This cabin provides a kitchen with dishes, cooking utensils, toaster, coffee pot, fridge and a gas stove. The bathroom includes a shower, sink and toilet. Artesian well water. Due to the high winds, we do recommend pulling your boat nightly. This cabin is an open concept design. There is 1 queen bed and 1 full size bed, 1 sofa sleeper (pull-out bed). We also provide bed linens. Please bring your own towels. The sandy swimming beach is about 50 feet- just 1 cabin from the beach/ community grilling area.There is a small children's play here with a swing-set and plenty of room for outdoor children's games. By means of a self-operated observation raft, visitors are guided to vantage points overlooking fascinating underwater features and fantasies. Ancient tree trunks, lime-encrusted branches and fat trout appear suspended in nothingness as they slip through crystal waters far below. Clouds of sand kept in constant motion by gushing waters create ever-changing shapes and forms, a challenge to the imagination of young and old alike. Indian Lake Golf Course: A very popular, 18-hole golf course along Indian Lake. Just 5 miles from the Cabin. The Kewadin Casino: It is approximately 10 minutes (7 miles) from the Lodge. If you make reservations, they will pick you up at the cabin and return your group as well. Historic Manistique Water Tower: The Old Water Tower is one of the many historic sites in Schoolcraft County. Built in 1923 and constructed in the “Roman revival” style, it is also listed in the national register. The renovated building will provide space for arts related public events and public rest room facilities while preserving one of Manistique's unique and historic buildings. Fayette State Park & Historic Town site: Fayette was once one of the Upper Peninsula's most productive iron-smelting operations. Located on the Garden Peninsula at Snail Shell Harbor. When the charcoal iron market began to decline, the Jackson Iron Company closed its Fayette smelting operation in 1891. It is now a completely restored village including 22 historic buildings, museum exhibits and the visitor center, which can be toured May through October. The historic site is located in Fayette State Park. *Mackinac Bridge- approximately 2 hours away. *Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore- approximately 2 hours away. *Tahquamenon Falls State Park- approximately 1 hour 30 minutes away.

                Weekly rental minimum. Fully furnished two bedroom cottage on Indian Lake. Living room has gas fireplace and beautiful view of the lake. Open floor plan connects the kitchen which includes a dishwasher with the dining room and living room which has cable TV. Dining area opens to the deck where you can sit and watch the water and relax. Have a fire in the fire pit or swim to enjoy the lake. Fishing year round. Boat rental close by. The bedroom downstairs is the master and includes a king size bed and TV. The downstairs has a full bath with a tub. Take the stairs up to the loft which again has a view down to the living room and out to the lake. The loft also has a sleeper sofa. Off the loft is a full bathroom which includes a shower as well as the second bedroom which includes two double beds. The basement is equipped with a washer and dryer. Great sunsets.

                This is a beautiful home, nestled in the woods, on 200 feet of secluded Lake Michigan shoreline. There is a large deck and a suspended wooden walkway to the beach. Great location for fall color, summer beach fun, hunting and fishing and winter sports. We welcome families to our home, this is a lovely quiet family neighborhood. There are four bedrooms with queen beds, and a sleeper bed in the family room. There are two full baths and a lovely open kitchen, dining room, great room with huge windows overlooking the lake. The house is well stocked with all pots and pans, dishes, oven, microwave, gas grill, herbs and spices and coffee and tea pots. All the beds will be made with fresh linens, all towels for beach and bathroom are also provided. There is a DVD player and TV, and lots of cards and games and a stereo and music selection. The bay is great for kayaking or canoeing during the summer and there are trails for skiing and snowmobiling during the winter. Fall color season is lovely. There are many sightseeing locations within driving distance including Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, many state parks, glass bottom boat rides, waterfalls, wildlife sanctuaries and fishing, boating, canoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

                This cabin is a pleasant and relaxing vacation spot. We are located in Manistique, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. Located along Indian Lake, which is 8400 acre Spring fed lake. This area is great for swimming, hiking, golfing, biking, fishing, hunting and sight seeing. Spend the day at the beach and enjoy water sports and boating. Then, spend the evening having a tasty barbeque and a soothing bonfire. This cabin provides a kitchen with dishes, cooking utensils, toaster, coffee pot, fridge and a gas stove. The bathroom includes a shower, sink and toilet. Artesian well water. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Beds: There are 2 double beds and a pull-out futon sofa. Boats: Please bring your own mooring rope and extension chords for charging your electric motor. Please let us know if you intend to bring your boat and the length of your boat. We always do our best to assist you in setting up the proper mooring poles (with your own rope.) Still, we do advise you to pull your boat nightly, as the winds can be sudden & high.                 This lodge is roomy and delightful! It is located in Manistique, Michigan which lies along the south shore of Indian Lake. Indian Lake is 8400 acre spring fed lake. This vacation spot is great for swimming, boating, water sports, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, biking and sight seeing. Also, a cozy spot during hunting season. 2 golf courses within 10 minutes of the Lodge. The Kewadin Casino is approximately 10 minutes (7 miles) from the Lodge. While the dock does not function as a marina, it is a great tool for our guests to enjoy having their boat with them as they fish and explore Indian Lake.                 We offer four 2 bedroom cabins (see other online listings at VRBO#914152, 914199 ). Our Cabins have two full beds, living room, kitchen and bath. All bed linens, kitchen utensils and dishes are supplied. All linens are professionally laundered after each guest. You only need to bring towels and soap to enjoy! A private dock is available for your use. We also offer two heavy moorings for your boat. Grills, a fire pit and picnic tables are on the grounds. Our picturesque scenery, warm summers, and mild falls provide a breath-taking change of scenery through brilliant colors. Cell Service: Sprint Cell Service is almost nonexistent in the UP, Verizon and AT&T users have good service at this location.
