The SpaceCombining the Manly lifestyle with space and tranquillity of an artist retreat, this 2 bedroom cottage is located on the beach lagoon-side of Manly Vale, only 2Km from the heart of Manly. Perfect for families or couples wanting to enjoy the relaxed lifestyle of Manly but without the hustle and bustle. The cottage is described as a sunshine house, where each room catches the sun providing light and air. It is beautifully decorated with modern and vintage pieces combined to create a comfortable and Vogue style ambience. You can wake every morning to the peace of a sun drenched garden dispersed by the occasional chatter of birds. While you enjoy your breakfast on the private north facing deck you can plan whether to go for a level walk to the beach or Manly on the cycle path just outside the door, or enjoy the sights of Sydney. If you need to shop and you don't have a car you are only 10 minutes walk from buses to the city and local shopping centres. The main bedroom has a comfy pillow top queen sized bed with plenty of storage in the built-in wardrobes. The second bedroom has two pillow top long single beds that can easily be combined into a king size bed. The beds are ready made with hotel quality linen and electric blankets so you can put your feet up and have a sleep when you arrive. A sturdy fold-away bed is available to accommodate a 5th person, or if you have a little one, we also have a travel cot. A fully equipped kitchen means that you can whip up a quick snack or a complete meal. It is stocked with tea, coffee, milk, eggs, cereal, bread and treats so no need to go shopping for that first meal. Or indulge in an Aussie Barbeque with all the facilities and outside table for great alfresco entertaining. Enjoy a picnic at a one of Manly's many outdoor attractions with a picnic basket, blanket and thermos. If you need to check you emails or upload your holiday photos, use the free wireless broadband. Otherwise, relax watching Netflix or viewing your photos through Apple TV on the 40" TV. If the beach is too cold but you still want a swim, the 50 metre Manly Swim Centre pool is only a 5 minute walk away. If you want to hit the green there are Manly, Warringah, Balgowlah and Wakehurst Golf clubs all within a few minutes drive. PROPERTY LAYOUT Manly Sunshine Cottage is on a large secure property of two cottages, occupying the rear half of the property. You can see the layout of the property in the photograph images. Security of the cottage is assured with the owners occupying the front cottage, and at hand to help you with any enquiries for local restaurants, shopping or activities. The rear garden is your private retreat with a compost and veggie garden shared with the owners. If you have young ones the garden is secure with gates either side of the cottage providing a worry free environment for your children to explore while you relax on the deck. Unrestricted parking is available on the street outside the cottage, so no jostling for car spaces. A loading bay is a flat 5 metres from the door allowing you to unpack and pack your luggage without hassle. The Space"Blane Amore" is a 2 storey home with plenty of room for you and your family and guests. Upstairs is a HUGE Master bedroom that has a queen size bed with sitting area and an ensuite with spa bath for you to relax and enjoy the bubbles - Soap and Champagne!!! There is a second bedroom with a Queen bed and lovely view of the amazing Australian Gum Tree at the front of the house, where you can watch the rozella's play on the branches. There are 2 other bedrooms upstairs, with a Double bed in one room and a king single in the other, great for kids or individual adults. There is also a rumpus room upstairs for the kids or just to relax and unwind before retiring for the evening. You can even sit on the balcony up stairs and enjoy a coffee in the morning and watch the sunrise. Downstairs, there is another bedroom that contains bunk beds with a double bed on the bottom and single up the top - Sleeps 3. Plus a king Single bed also. Room can sleep 4. Also downstairs is the open plan kitchen, loungeroom and breakfast room, that is tiled throughout. You can relax in the carpeted formal lounge and dining area towards the front of the house. It is a short walk for you to enjoy all that the dam has to offer. If you like bushwalking, hiking, cycling, swimming in fresh water, BBQ facilities and feeding the ducks, then Manly Dam has it all. You are 8 minutes from the heart of Manly, where you can enjoy the world famous Manly Beach, restaurants, shops, bars and nightlife, or catch the Manly Ferry or Jetcat to the City. It will take your breath away, as you round the corner on the Ferry and see the majestic Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Get the Cameras ready!!! The SpaceOur home has a clean modern feel and we are within one minute walk to express bus to city and shops. Bright open plan living flowing onto the outdoor entertainment area which overlooks the heated pool. We have recently painted the exterior and interior and renovated throughout. You can expect polished hardwood floors and white walls, gourmet kitchen two living areas (three including your area). Guest AccessAll common rooms and entertaining areas. Interaction with GuestsYou have your own entry and can come and go without interacting if you choose. Although we are happy to chat and share information about Sydney over a glass of wine or a beer. The NeighborhoodLaid back Northern Beaches feel within a 12 minute bicycle ride to Manly Beach and Ferry. Getting AroundThere is an express bus to the city at the end of our street. You can be in the CBD within 35 minutes. Or catch a ferry across the harbour to Circular Quay the main CBD port. Other Things to NoteWe own a monterey 22' speed boat and enjoy taking guests out on the harbour where we spend our weekends.

The beaches are walking distance. It is a very flat and pleasant walk Other Things to NoteFor a night in, there is a great wood fired pizza place just down the road (menu provided). This is a great area to explore and you can happen upon for example, 40 Baskets, Reef beach, Manly Dam which are all relatively close by.

The SpaceThe best feature of our apartment is our huge courtyard! The best thing about the location is that we are so close to the beach but in such a quiet street with plenty of all day street parking. There is great public transport in the area - regular buses to Manly and the northern beaches and also to the city leave from Sydney road. From Manly there are regular Ferries also. The SpaceNote this is not part of a block, but rather an apartment, or 'granny flat'. It is solid with no drafts and north facing so gets lots of winter sun keeping it nice and warm. All the rooms are exceptionally large for an apartment and include: - a living room with LCD TV and sofa (also converts into comfortable double bed) - a queen size double bedroom (with v comfy mattress). There is loads of built in wardrobe space also. - fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave, oven and hob, and of course all cutlery and crockery (if there are any essentials missing, my wife will be able to sort it out!) - bathroom with shower, basin, WC etc and laundry with washing machine (clothes can be dried easily on the washing line). Note the water is nice and hot, and runs with good pressure. Nothing better than a strong hot shower! We will fully respect your privacy during you stay, although are happy to help out with tips, advice recommendations on the area.. Or even just to have a chat ;-) We will generally welcome guests to show them the basics and then leave guests to themselves. We are mainly around to help with questions or problems, but will respect your privacy. The SpaceEveryone who visits our apartment says it is really homely, so you will feel very comfortable. Our balcony is huge as it gets the sun all day and is very peaceful. Even in Winter we lay on the day bed and relax in the sun. There is a supermarket around the corner and easy access to Manly and the City. It is a safe and quiet neighbourhood.     The SpaceA family friendly cottage. We are a family of Mum, Dad & 2 girls aged 12 & 10. The house comes with the comforts of a family home - books, games, toys, tv, dvd and music systems. We have a small level front garden with a tree house in it and a large steep backyard with a lovely garden full of bird life. The cottage is bright and sunny and we find it large enough for everyone to have their own space to do their own thing. The house is in a quiet and friendly cul-de-sac with many families in the street. We are set on a hill and have a leafy outlook with ocean glimpses. The three bedrooms are small but comfortable. Two bedrooms have queen beds and plenty of robe space. The third bedroom contains a high single bed with lots of storage space and room for a small pull out bed or mattress also if required. There is one bathroom containing a bath/shower and toilet and there is also a separate toilet downstairs in the laundry. An outside hot shower perfect for when returning from the beach. The living space is open plan. The large living area with comfortable deep couches has a tv and dvd player and has doors that open out to a front deck. The dining room has a large dining table that seats 8 comfortably and looks out onto a large deck and leafy views. There is a 4 burner gas bbq and open fire pit available. There is a full, modern kitchen adjoining the dining room. The kitchen has a large fridge with cold filtered water, dishwasher, oven, cooktop & microwave. The kitchen is fully stocked with crockery, cutlery, an espresso coffee machine and juicer. All you need to cook or entertain! A separate laundry with washer and dryer is downstairs. There are two clotheslines - one under the back deck under cover and another in the garden. There is off street car parking also. Guest AccessThis is our home and we would like our guests to enjoy it as their home away from home. The kitchen will be stocked with basic foods and supplies and all crockery, cutlery and pots will be available to cook for 4 or 5 guests or for a larger group. Guests will have access to the linen cupboard - including all bed linen, bath towels and beach towels. We are happy to provide access to a couple of boogie boards and bikes and a beach umbrella! The outdoor hot water shower is perfect after returning from the beach. Free wifi will be provided also. All our books - art, architecture, garden, recipes and novels - are at your disposal as well as cupboards full of board games. We will lock a separate studio & workshop that you will not have access to. Street parking is plentiful. In the laundry there is a new washing machine and dryer (less than 12 months old). Enjoy the outdoor fire on our back deck. Interaction with GuestsWe will be away during this period. We will provide our contact details whilst away but will have limited availability. We are happy to talk before hand and we will leave you with contact details of a friend who will 'manage' things whilst we are away. We will leave a manual containing how to use everything and recommendations for our area. The NeighborhoodWe live in a friendly neighbourhood in a cul-de-sac. We are surrounded by natural beauty. Minutes away is Manly Dam - a beautiful place to walk or swim and have a wood fired bbq. There is a fabulous mountain bike track here too. Within walking or cycling distance is Queenscliff and Manly Beach. These are surf beaches patrolled throughout summer. If you aren't into waves, there is the Marine Protected Cabbage Tree Bay at the southern end of Manly Beach or the many harbour beaches nearby. These are all fabulous for snorkelling and you can join in for free with the Bold and Beautiful Swim Group at Manly who swim 365 days a year at 7am. Walking is plentiful - you can head to North Head Sanctuary, do the famous Manly to Spit Walk or head over to the Bluff walk in Bantry Bay for views across to the City. Within sight are 3 large supermarkets and in Roseberry street (3 minute walk) there are 2 cafes that roast their own coffee beans and a quality butcher. There are cinema complex's nearby also at Warringah Mall & Cremorne and Manly is full of pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Getting AroundWe are 2.3 km to the Manly, North Steyne, Queenscliff beach. It is a 5 minute drive, 10 minute bike ride or 25 minute walk to the beach. Manly Dam with access to mountain bike & walking paths and wood fired bbqs is around the corner - you can walk there via bush paths. We are 500m from bus stops that take you directly to the City, Manly (to catch a ferry to the city) or further up the northern beaches via Warringah Mall. The city express buses take around 30 - 40 minutes. If you hire a car parking is on street but readily available. Other Things to NoteWe live near the bush. You may spot rabbits, bush turkeys and possums roaming around. In summer, we have fans that will help keep you cool when not at the beach and you can have access to our beach umbrella! The outdoor fire pit and bbq on our back deck are great to relax around.

Guest AccessBeing an oasis means our home is a hideaway and this hideaway comes with about 30 kinda big steps from the street and 15 steps up from the lock up garage. Unfortunately not suitable for physically challenged. Our guests will have access to all we do really! mi casa es tu casa! Interaction with GuestsIf you arrive before 26 April, we will be here to greet you and show you the ropes. If not, one of our many local friends will be your 'hosts'. Manly Swim Centre is a 7 minute walk away attached to one of the areas reserves. Closest supermarket is a 10 minute walk and just another block to a great coffee shop too. Getting Around5 mins walk west you have buses to take you directly to the City and Manly Wharf to catch a ferry to City. 3 mins east will take you to local and city buses direct to City or North. Other Things to NoteAccess to our hideaway does come with access that requires some mobility. Unfortunately no wheelchair access. The .5 bathroom is a loo in the downstairs laundry. The 2 bathrooms are upstairs.

    The SpaceOur family home is a two story house with two bedrooms upstairs and a bedroom/ study downstairs. 2 bedrooms upstairs, 1 with a queen sized bed and the other with a single bed. The bedroom downstairs has a cot in it. We also have single mattresses and blow up mattreses that are easily available on request. The kitchen and dining area are light filled with nice high ceilings and lead onto the balcony that overlooks the leafy backyard. We have a front grassy courtyard with a BBQ. Front porch with a byron bay swing lounge to chill out and enjoy the northerly sunshine. Air conditioning and fans throughout the house for summer time, and plenty of heaters for winter time. This is a beachside playground with some of the best natural environment found in Australia. Getting AroundA main bus stop is only 5mins walk away. Buses will take you into Manly (15mins), the City (30mins) and to every beach up the northern beaches as far as Palm Beach (1hr). Parkes, Manly Dam bush walks, bicycle tracks on your doorstep. Taxi into Manly is fast and very reliable ($15AUD). And you cant miss catching the Manly Ferry across the spectacular Sydney Harbour as best way to travel to the City!     The SpaceI have a good sized room with a double bed on offer late December to early new year period. The house has a big saltwater pool and is in a quiet suburban area which is convenient to the famous Manly beach (THE place to be over summer). There is a bus stop just up the road, the bus will take you 30 mins to the city or 15 to Manly. If you have a car there is plenty of room to park. This is my daughters room which is vacant over the dates listed so whilst it is not glamourous it is functional, quiet and clean :) Please note the pic of the bedroom is it looking at its worst as was keen to get a photo up sooner rather than later. Can update soon. Ideally you are mature, tidy and happy to be in a family home that is not a party house. Females and couples are preferred. TV with DVD player is provided Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and living areas The huge deck at the front of the house overlooks Manly lagoon and Manly golf course It is on a quiet cul de sac street with on and off street parking There are two friendly chickens out the back providing you with two daily fresh eggs. All kitchen scraps can be thrown to the chooks or put in the organic compost. Only request is to check on their chickens water every few days please and throw some grains provided. No other care required just enjoy the fresh eggs.     The SpaceA family friendly home set up for children (we have 2 girls) with books, games and toys suitable for the under 12s. A large garden with basketball hoop and trampoline. The house is bright and sunny and large enough for everyone to have their own space to do their own thing. The house is set on a hill and very private, with leafy outlooks. The three bedrooms have either queen size or double beds. There are two bathrooms upstairs (one a stunning ensuite) and there is a toilet downstairs. The living space is open plan, with two living areas (with tvs and dvd players), a dining room and a play room. There is a full, modern kitchen and separate laundry with washer and dryer. There is a clothes line in the garden. Guest AccessThe house is set up as our home, so you will have access to everything you need - washer and dryer, well stocked kitchen, sheets and towels (beach towels and bath towels.) The Neighborhood15 minute flat walk to beautiful Queenscliff beach (5 mins on bikes), level walk from there to North and South Steyne beaches and Manly Village. Freshwater beach is nearby, as is the popular Manly Boy Charlton swimming pool (both around 15 minutes on foot) Directly across the road are the local playing fields, which include bike tracks and a playground suitable for kids of all ages. Note the road can be quite busy, but you won't notice it from inside the house and it is easy to cross. Manly village is the hub of our community, it is vibrant and friendly. There are many restaurants, bars and pubs, most of which are child friendly until late in the evening. There are plenty of shops and supermarkets in Manly, or you can duck down to a fresh food specialist grocers with butcher and fish mongers, (ten mins walk) however if you want more we are five minutes on the bus from Warringah Mall shopping centre, which offers plenty of shops, supermarkets and a multiplex cinema. The beaches near the house are primarily surf beaches, and are patrolled by surf life savers. We have a couple of boogie boards you can use. If you prefer to swim without waves Manly offers a number of harbour beaches, many complete with shark nets. From Manly there are many walks - North Head, Shelly Beach, the stunning 9 km Spit Walk - we will provide you with maps and everything you need to find your way about this amazing part of the world. Several of the beaches are popular sites for snorkelling - we have some snorkelling gear you can use. The area around Shelly Beach is a marine reserve and popular with scuba divers and snorkelers. Getting AroundThere is bus access to Manly Village, Warringah Mall and all the beautiful sites of the Northern beeches, and the bus stop is just two doors down. The bus to Manly takes about 7 minutes. If you like to walk, Manly and the beaches are a comfortable walk. If you hire a car parking is on street but readily available. From Manly there are ferries to the heart of Sydney - the Manly ferry is a tourist icon and a worthwhile experience in itself. From the airport you can take a taxi (approx $90AUD) or take the train to Circular Quay and jump on the famous Manly Ferry (leaves from wharf 3) - amazing views of the harbour, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House - a must do while you stay! Please note that the house is a 7 minutes bus trip from the ferry wharf in Manly - the taxi fare is probably worthwhile after a long flight, and works out roughly the same for a family once you pay for train, bus and ferry fares. Other Things to NoteThere is a wood burning heater, but you won't need it! There is a lovely big barbecue and sun drenched deck to relax on. Deck chairs and our hammock are perfect to relax on and watch the wild life after a busy day at the beach. There is a three man tent, esky and camping stoves in the garden shed.
