The SpaceBuilt in 1925, this home features a large living area with gas log fireplace, dining room, open back porch, fully equipped kitchen, roof top patio off the master bedroom, 2 other bedrooms and even a small room in the attic if needed. There is a big back yard and gardens in the front yard. There is a washer and dryer in the basement if you need to do some laundry. 6 guests can comfortably stay but there is room for 2 more if you use our queen air mattress in the finished attic room. Please, no more than 8 quests. Guest AccessGuests have access to the whole house and yard. The master bedroom has a roof deck, great for morning coffee. You can bring food to cook your own meals. Flexible check out time if I don't have another guest coming the next day. Interaction with GuestsI will meet you upon your arrival to give you a key and show you around the house. You will be on your own after that but I will be available to answer questions and help out with anything you need. I will not stay on the premises while guests are in residence. I live just a few blocks away so can be there in 5 min. if there is a problem that needs attention. The NeighborhoodThe Woodland neighborhood is very beautiful, laid out as Woodland Farms in 1920 by its developer, James M. Dickson, it began to develop just before the Great Depression. Westinghouse opened its appliance demonstration model, the Home of Tomorrow, on Andover Road in February 1934. Each house is unique, so take some time to walk around and enjoy the area. Mansfield Art Center is within walking distance and there is always a wonderful show on display. The Mansfield YMCA is at the end of the street. Getting AroundThe neighborhood is walkable and safe. You will need a car to get around the town. Other Things to NoteThe kitchen has table service for 8, pots and pans, utensils, some cooking basics like oil and spices, coffee. You are welcome to use any food items in the house. The kitchen sink has a water filter so there is no need for bottled water.
