The SpaceGood news!!! We now have a new promotion for anyone who books a minimum 1 week stay with us from November 1st till December 18th.
Receive a $120 credit towards all products we sell in our rental suite boutique (on-site) and/or on-line at our GoEstrie website. This is on top of our existing weekly rebate :-)
Also, if you also book our guest bedroom with full bathroom located directly adjacent to the suite for 2 of your friends/family members, we will give you an additional $60 to spend for a total bonus of $180. Additional guest accommodations are available by special inquiry only. Pricing for this second unit is set at 50% of the main rental suite booking value.
Get a 4th night for free for any 4 to 6 night stay. We will apply the refund directly to your account after booking and based on the average nightly price excluding any airbnb and cleaning fees.
In order to provide our guests with more time to enjoy their stay with us, we have a very liberal check-in and check-out policy. Please feel free to show up anytime after 10am when first arriving and stay until 3pm on your last day. If we have nothing scheduled the following day, which is most of the time, you are welcome to stay till 5pm. We try our best to leave a full day between rentals in order to make these extended stays possible and give us some time to ourselves as well :-) Sure we could make a little extra by not doing so...but would rather make things a little more convenient for you...our guests.
Designed with comfort and privacy in mind, the suite where you will be staying includes a complete kitchen with coffee maker, automatic espresso/cappuccino machine, electric kettle, toaster, microwave, full size fridge and stove, pots and pans, utensils, plates, glasses plus everything you need for preparing your meal. We also provide you with an iron & ironing board, hair dryer, shampoo, yoga mat plus a complimentary mini-soap bar from Savonnerie des Diligences.
There is a full size bathroom, a spacious living area plus a queen size luxury bed.
The futon sofa in living room can be converted into a double bed to accommodate 2 additional guests.
It is our goal to always provide you with a good nights rest during your entire visit. You will be sleeping on a deluxe latex/memory foam hybrid mattress made by Casper right here in North America. Also, the space you will be occupying has been soundproofed so you will be able remain asleep all night long. During the colder months, there are hydronic radiant floors throughout to keep you warm and cozy.
Since there are not a lot of restaurants in the direct vicinity, the kitchen should prove very useful during your stay. There is a private patio area provided which is located directly next to the living room and has a dining table for two.
Surrounded by natural beauty, every attempt has been made to preserve the land and its wildlife to put you in touch with nature. To this end, there are NO fire-pits, hot tubs, trampolines or other distractions. This is little oasis away from it all for you and your partner to enjoy. We suggest bringing a book to read by the side of the pond. Or perhaps, a little meditation on your private deck to help fine tune your body and senses. During the winter months, there are plenty of outdoor activities to be had nearby especially for avid downhill and/or cross-country skiers. There are plenty of snowshoeing trails in the vicinity including right here in our own backyard. If you would like to bring your own canoe or kayak, we have direct access from our property to the North Missisquoi river which feeds down into the main Missisquoi river at Highwater. Not to far downstream is a large set of rapids with a waterfall in the town of Mansonville which would need to be negotiated. It is possible to paddle upstream and then return back to where you left off. This is a very popular activity all summer long in the area.
For your time indoors, we have provided some little pleasures...board games, playing cards, books and magazines, hopefully as a reminder of when enjoying life was so much simpler :-)
We hope to differentiate ourselves from all the other rentals in the area by offering a unique experience. Every weekly rental will include a $25 gift basket with a selection of local products from Mansonville including soap, honey and bread (or a bottle of wine from Chapelle Ste Agnès Vineyard if you prefer).
Hopefully you will enjoy our place as much as we do. Any feedback to help us improve our offering would be greatly appreciated. Guest AccessYou have full access to the outside of the property at all times. This includes our private spring-fed pond which is a welcome site on especially hot afternoons to take a dip. The dock overlooking our pond is very secluded and has a couple of Adirondack chairs for you to sit back and relax in and enjoy the sounds of nature. Two additional chairs overlooking the pond, above the rock face, are a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee. We would love to share our experiences about building our home and tell you all about what makes it so unique to anything else in the region. Spoiler alert! It is run entirely (heating, cooling and hot water) by way of geothermal energy using our very own pond. Interaction with GuestsWe will do our best to help with any of your needs. We live on the main floor directly above where you will be staying and expect to be available in person most of the time. If not, we are usually not too far away and will be reachable via mobile phone. We are dedicated to making your stay as pleasant as possible and are open to any and all reasonable requests. The NeighborhoodThe township of Potton, of which Mansonville is the sole village, is renowned for its unique landscapes and scenery. From rolling hillsides to pristine forest reserves, it is located at the northern tip of the Green Mountains range. There are plenty of everyday outdoor activities including hiking, biking (fatbike in winter), golfing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, skiing and snowshoeing throughout the region along with plenty of scenery to enjoy. We are situated near Owl's Head ski and golf as well as the Jay Peak resort which is view-able from the bottom of our driveway (Don't forget your passports).
Other, one of a kind experiences, include a visit to the local winery, Chapelle Ste-Agnes, birthplace of Ice-wine in Quebec, which makes an exceptionally good product in our opinion. Daily tours are available and last up to a couple of hours for a full blown visit. Lots of people have chose to hold their weddings here due to the stunning location and remarkable facilities which can accommodate upwards of a hundred people or more. They have a four story medieval cellar dug down into the solid rock and a chapel built of solid stone in the Romanesque style. Be sure to make your reservations ahead of time.
A first in Canada, VéloVolant will slowly wind you through the tree canopies on a bicycle all while in a reclined seating position and reaching heights of a hundred feet!
Not to be missed, the Abbey in Saint-Benoit-Du-Lac will delight you with their award winning cheeses, unique architecture and spectacular scenery.

Other Things to NoteAccording to Airbnb's own statistics and as of August 30th, 2016 we have a 91% five star overall experience rating compared to 71% average for other hosts in the area! We also have perfect 100% ratings for Cleanliness, Communication and Arrival after more then a year and a half operating. We plan on improving these numbers in the future so tell us what we can do to help improve your stay once you've booked with us :-)
We are registered with Quebec's tourism regulatory body as a CITQ member which is required by law. As a member we must meet certain standards of quality and safety. Also, we have full short-term renters insurance which fully protects us and our guests from any potential litigation. Standard home insurance as well as Airbnb's own guest insurance are extremely limited in the protection they provide and do not cover costly claims related to fires and personal injury. This coverage is considerably more expensive but we feel it is worth it to protect ourselves as well as our guests :-)
If you wish to supply your own bedding's including pillow we will be happy to refund you $5 per day (max $10) at your arrival.
We our able to provide internet access, but the speeds may be slower then you are accustomed to if coming from a larger metropolitan area (up to 1mb/sec using a DSL line). If you require a faster connection, we can offer a 5mb/sec service but for a fee of $4 per 1gb chunk which is what it costs us since it uses the local cellular network instead. There is a TV and DVD player with a selection of music and classic movies for you to enjoy. Also, we provide you with a 2nd generation ChromeCast device to stream any content you want (Netflix etc...) from a chrome web browser to the TV :-)
