The SpaceI welcome you in my three bedroom waterfront house. The main bedroom has a comfortable queensize bed with luxurious cotton sheets. In addition to that there is also a daybed in the room which can sleep two children. Bedroom two has a single bed. The third bedroom has two single beds. All beds are high quality. As the name indicates 'te wai tahi' is in unison with the waters of the waimea estuary and Tasman Bay. It is in the hub of the Mapua seaside village, yet far enough away to have its own tranquility. There is off street parking. WiFi in house, shops, cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. Nelson and Abel Tasman Park are 35 minutes away. You are surrounded by wineries and art galleries. Swimming is directly in front of the house, you just walk off the deck and away you go. Kayaks come with the house and you can enjoy moving in and out with the tides. This is special to the 'Te Wai Tahi' real New Zealand experience. Bird watching is spectacular with binoculars provided. The SpaceFrom the sun filled living room french doors open to a private sheltered garden. Guests can enjoy sitting under the grape covered pergola for their meals. The bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed and a modern on suite bathroom. A porta cot is available on request and there is room for a guest to sleep on the day bed in the living room. They can walk through the owners garden to a private seat on the edge of the estuary to watch the sunset or swim at high tide. The cottage is situated at the bottom of my garden and has its own private space. The NeighborhoodMapua is a beautiful village with a wide range of shops,galleries, resturants,bars and cafes. The village is situated on the Wiamea Estuary. Mapua is a great base to explore our world renowned Able Tasman National Park.Mapua is also just a small drive to Nelson and Motueka. Getting AroundThere is guest parking with cottage. We will provide directions on request. Our cottage is just off the main Road and easy to find. Other Things to NoteWe are approximately half way along the Great Tasman Bike Trail, making us an ideal and wonderful place to stay the nigh on your biking adventure.

The SpaceThe TreeHouse is a 2 bedroom self-contained cottage nestled in the trees overlooking Mapua Domain. Traditional kiwi bach in style, it is sheltered and private with ample off street parking. Great for solo travelers (discount available), couples and young families - though little ones must take care with the steps. Central for cyclists. Guest AccessA climb of twenty steps takes you to the TreeHouse. It is completely self contained and private. It is not accessed by anyone else for the duration of your stay unless cleaning is requested. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the village and can be on hand if needed. Always happy to help with recommendations or arrangements - just call. The NeighborhoodMapua is an idyllic village. Usually blessed with sunshine and surrounded by sea and sand. Great spots for swimming and fishing, kayaks and boating. It has long been a magnet to artists and crafts people alike. Galleries, studios, cafes and boutiques, along side all the services a community needs - health centre, library, pharmacy, garage etc are just a walk away. The fantastic Mapua Ferry now links us by cycle trail to Nelson and Motueka & if you want to go further, vineyards, golf courses, skydiving and beautiful National parks are an easy drive. Getting AroundIf you are flying into Nelson we can arrange transfers or recommend car hire as there is ample off street parking at the TreeHouse. It is just across the road from the bus stop to Abel Tasman National park or Nelson. There is plenty of cycle hire in the village and vineyard tours available by arrangement. Other Things to NoteThe Treehouse is only accessible by steps from the parking area and we regret there is no wheelchair access. If this is not suitable for your requirements please let us know and we will help arrange alternative accommodation if we can. Also please take care on the deck when wet.

While ideal for a couple we can offer additional sleeping arrangements for 2 extra people. This unit has a super king bed as the default setting. A king single and single trundler bed can be added for additional guests if needed. Although the trundler bed can be accommodated in the bedroom, the king single bed would be in the living area. We are on the cycle trail and there are many places to hire bikes from close by. Getting AroundWe offer off street parking also bike lock up. We are 30 minutes drive from Nelson, 15 minutes from Richmond . we are close to the Abel Tasman Track approx 45minutes drive. Transportation could be arranged if needed.     The SpaceOur 100+ year old cottage retains its original charm, with some updating to the kitchen and bathroom. It is cosy,comfortable and clean and well equipped with everything you will need for an easy stay. I take pride in ensuring the cottage is always beautifully clean with fresh linen and towels supplied. Great for families as the property is fully fenced for children and also has a bath for little ones. Off street parking available. The Great Taste Bike Trail runs right through Mapua making it an ideal spot for some rest and relaxation. It is only 15 minutes to either Motueka or Richmond and 25 minutes to Nelson by car. The Tasman region offers a wonderful array of wineries, restaurants, arts and crafts as well as the wonderful Abel Tasman where kayaking, tramping, swimming are all on offer.

You can venture out to sample the unique offerings of Mapua Village or stay put and have everything you need at your fingertips. With 40sqm of interior space, this open plan unit is spacious and well equipped with a wet bar, dining area and lounge space. The interior opens onto a private 25sqm deck with a covered outdoor kitchen and outdoor furniture providing an extension to your living space. With one queen bed this unit is ideally suited to a single or couple; however a single trundler bed can be added for an additional guest if needed. Our ability to accomodate an additional guest in this unit is dependent the total number of guests booked in both units at the time. We have a limit of 6 people at any one time in the complex so that everyone has enough space and privacy. Attached by a breezeway to the Orange Apartment, the two units can be booked together to offer proximity for those ‘together’ times with extended family or friends, but also offer individual privacy for ‘time-out’.
