    Guest AccessAll outside terraces, pool area, Tree house, grand room (no kitchen access), 35 acres of beautiful pastures with trails, meditation areas, picnic areas. Danehill Manor is a peninsula out in the Nicasio reservoir and offers private beaches where you can also fish from. Interaction with GuestsThe owner and host will be present during your stay. She also offers gourmet dinners (to be arranged prior to arriving). A large breakfast is included in your room fee, dinner and other meals to arranged directly with the host. Danehill is a working horse breeding and training (and dog training) facility and you may also want to sign up for a unique experience learning natural horsemanship. Even if you have never been close to horses before or if you are an advanced rider you will experience a bonding and partnership with horses that is special. The NeighborhoodNicasio and West Marin is a unique nature experience. We have Point Reyes National Seashore national park , Tomales bay, Isolated beaches, no houses, wild life. Small neighboring towns offer great organic food, visit to cheese farms, oyster farms, horse back riding, kayaking even at night at full moon.       The SpaceBlack Mountain Farm is a family fiber farm with views for miles of the rolling hills of West Marin and the Nicasio reservoir. We are only an hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge but far-removed from city life. Fresh air, peacefulness, wide open spaces. Sheep, horses, chickens, turkeys and wildlife roam happily on our property. The Point Reyes National Seashore and Tomales Bay are only minutes away. Guest AccessThe pond house sleeps two people and flat space is available around the pond to pitch a tent. Guests can enjoy the grassy three-acre area around the pond which is also great for outdoor games and just hanging out. A fire pit is available for use during winter months, you can purchase wood from the Jacksons, conditions permitting. We provide fresh bottled drinking water and there is an outhouse with a composting toilet. The outdoor bath tub is run with portable propane gas water heater so in the Winter months there is less warm water, you may need to miss your daily bathing and enjoy knowing that you are part of water conservation on the Farm.:) The cabin is insulated but has no heat so bring extra sleeping bags if you get cold easily. Interaction with GuestsDepending on schedules, we try to greet guests on their arrival, and we are glad to offer suggestions on the many activities and places to visit nearby. We will leave a binder in the pondhouse with attractions and suggestions for dining nearby. The security gate is closed around 10 pm each night. Please let us know if you want privacy and we won't bother you at all. The NeighborhoodBlack Mountain Farm is nestled on a mountain with sweeping views for miles in all directions. There are wide open grassy knolls with farms animals grazing peacefully nearby. Wake up to a view of the whole Nicasio reservoir. We have a binder in the pond house with suggestions for wonderful sights and deliscious restaurants nearby. Getting AroundNo public transportation available. Parking is provided a couple hundred feet from the pond house. Rent your car in San Fransisco and come out to the country. Other Things to NoteAs is common throughout the Bay Area, weather can be variable…foggy usually in the morning and brilliant sunshine later in the day. We have a farm dog that roams the property guarding the sheep and chickens. She is friendly and her name is Ruby.

      The SpaceWood fired hot tub, outdoor firepit, indoor fireplace, high ceilings and open floor plan. Remote and quiet, yet 10 minutes to Petaluma (great restaurant and antiques!) and 45 minutes to the Golden Gate Bridge. Wonderful place to hike, bike, watch ravens and hawks, and taste Stubbs Vineyard wines, of course. Guest AccessThe house is in the middle of a 600 acre ranch and many areas are available for hiking and picnicking, etc. Map will be provided. Interaction with GuestsSomeone will be available by phone, text or email (reasonable hours)! We have recommendations for restaurants, entertainment, travel, etc. The NeighborhoodStubbs Vineyard, specializing in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, is remote in feel, yet only 40 minutes from Sonoma/Napa, less than an hour to SF, and 10 minutes to Petaluma. 'Our' town, Petaluma, has great restaurants and bars, antique shops and clothing stores, coffee shops and bakeries. We'd love to recommend our favorites. Getting AroundPublic transportation is available in Petaluma (10 minutes away). Uber will collect you from the Vineyard.

      Located on the wooded flanks of Black Mountain and overlooking the grasslands of Nicasio Valley, the "Tree House'' is a truly private getaway. This two story home is nestled among oaks and bay laurels adjacent to an all-year stream that flows to the valley reservoir. The two bedroom, two bath home, with an exceptionally equipped and distinctly outfitted gourmet kitchen, should be enough to keep you comfortably at home. But if daytime activities are in your plans, the town of Point Reyes Station and the National Seashore is a short distance from Tree House. This historical, three block long town, with its unique shops, restaurants, bakeries and weekend farmers market is five minutes away. A twenty minute drive puts you at the Point Reyes National Seashore Visitor Center, the gateway to one of the most unique places on this earth. All within the park are whale watching in winter, amazing walks on sunny or fog shrouded beaches, hiking on miles of trails, or kayaking on the sheltered waters of Tomales Bay. End the day at one of the town's restaurants or back home at the Tree House, sharing the comfort of the wood burning stove, a BBQ on the deck, or your own home cooked evening dinner. The main gathering area of Tree House is appointed with custom designed contemporary furnishings. A glass block wall bathes the interiors slate floor and brightly colored rugs with morning sun. The dining space, seating six, looks out towards an intimate view of the wooded landscape. The adjoining open kitchen with contemporary stainless steel appliances, Nespresso coffee maker, an array of cookware, and a tasteful selection of tableware makes this home a gourmet's delight. The downstairs bedroom with a cozy double bed is also bathed in sunlight through a glass block wall. This room has a separate exterior entrance off the covered, heated and furnished deck -- a nice place for morning coffee, even in poor weather. The master bedroom upstairs features a glass enclosed built in window settee. This eight foot long cushioned space projects out into the wooded tree canopy. This is a cozy spot for a good read or a daytime nap. At night, the second floor master bedroom and bath suite with queen bed is a most private and comfortable space. An additional sleeping area with twin beds is offered in the uniquely designed loft space above the living room. Throughout the house is a collection of artwork by local artists, largely depicting the landscapes and ranch settings of the Nicasio Valley. If you need to remain connected, there is a media center with a TV, DVD player, and an internet connection through an Apple TV. An iMac and WiFi connection is provided. All the furnishings, bedding, accessories and amenities have been selected to make a simple two day weekend or an extended stay as comfortable as can be.
