Your comfort and enjoyment while you visit Marquette is our goal. Up to six guests will have plenty of space to stretch out, relax and enjoy . 1,500 square foot, turn of the century home offers 3 bedrooms and 1 full bath. Living room with leather double reclining sofa, 40" smart TV with Roku, Netflix and wifi. An additional lounging/reading area. Large fully equipped kitchen has dining for 6 at the pub table. Bedrooms: "McCarty's Cove" - main floor queen. "Picnic Rocks" - upper full. "Presque Isle" - upper queen. After playing all day take a soak in the claw foot tub! (Upper level bath.) Toys, puzzles and books. Full basement with Washer and Dryer, and we've even provided space for waxing your skis.
Convenient Location: Just steps from Marquette's Co-op (and the Ramada Inn). One block to the bike path that circles the town. Two blocks and you can be rambling through historic downtown Marquette's specialty shops, restaurants and nightlife. Five blocks to the Lower Harbor Park which is the spot for many of our local festivals, plus Kids Kingdom playground, snack shop and marina. One block to the west is Washington St. Park. Only 5-10 minutes to NMU, Vandament Arena, Lakeview Arena, Kaufman Auditorium, local breweries, golf courses, Marquette Mountain Ski Hill, X-country skiing, fishing, hiking, - you name it! You'll find you are in the center of all the fun that Marquette has in store for you.
In the summer, have an evening cocktail on the balcony off of the rear bedroom. Step out from the Kitchen to sun on the rear deck, or BBQ on the paver patio. Backyard is large enough for play. Off street parking for 2 cars.
In the morning, stroll downtown to one of many coffee shops or bakeries - have lunch at historic Donckers Restaurant and Candy Store - enjoy dinner at any number of restaurants overlooking Lake Superior, and leisurely walk back home. New Year's Eve Ball Drop - just four blocks away. If you're here for the Sled Dog races, your hot chocolate will still be warm walking the two blocks to the amazing downtown start. If it's the 4th of July, you can watch the parade from your front porch and then make your way to the Lower Harbor park for the festivities and fireworks. Quite simply, Marquette is at your fingertips.
