The NeighborhoodThis quiet but friendly neighborhood boasts spectacular sunrises and sunsets from the dock and makes this home an ideal location for a couple or small family. Getting AroundThe "downtown tourist strip" is approx. 2-3 miles away, where there are local souvenir shops, grocery stores, restaurants and much more. Day rentals are an excellent way to explore Great Abaco which is 135 miles long. Cars, bicycles and mopeds can be rented from Rental Wheels which is a 5-8 minute walk from Seagrape by the Sea. The Abacos are made up of multiple outer islands all within close proximity to Great Abaco. Visiting these outer islands is an excellent idea for a day trip in a rental boat or you can take the local island ferry. Your rental boat can be docked at the shared dock at Seagrape by the Sea or be returned to their dock located over the hill on the harbour side from Seagrape by the Sea (2 minute walk).

The Abacos are renowned for deep sea and bone fishing. Marsh Harbour is a great location for exploring all the Abacos have to offer. This vacation (or long-term) rental feels secluded, but is conveniently located in the heart of the Marsh Harbour tourist area. It is an easy walk to the restaurants and shops. A dive operation, ferry, and boat rental are across the street from the complex. A couple blocks down is a car, scooter, bike rental shop. You can even walk to the grocery store, bakery, liquor store and banks. Taxis are inexpensive and are a good way to get from the airport to the condo or anywhere else that is too far of a walk. Marsh Harbour is a great location to use as a base for exploring all of the Abaco Islands. Public ferries or renting your own boat are a great way to explore the other Cays. Unless you want to drive to Treasure Cay and see other parts of Great Abaco Island, you don’t need a car.

About The Eastern Shore peninsula As a rental guest of this gorgeous community you enjoy… Eastern Shores is approximately a mile long and has a mixture of year round residences as well as rental homes. Truly a community with spirit. The enforced 15MPH speed limit on the peninsula is for all to enjoy the leisure pace in this community. For you walkers it's a great little scenic stretch for an afternoon stroll or morning jog. Starting at the entrance it is about a quarter mile to “the bridge” the narrowest point on the peninsula with a cement overcross area, to the south (right) on the overcross there is an access for all eastern shores owners and guests to a lovely beach in a little bayside cove. Continuing on the peninsula it is just over another quarter mile to “the park” on the north (left side) you will see a little roped off area that is great to take the pets to walk, kids to play etc. don't forget to carry swim wear or goggles as this also is another bay area that has great snorkeling as there is an iron shore that goes out into a peninsula of shallow corals. Please, take your pet waste and trash with you as we like to keep the park and beach areas as pristine as possible for everyone to enjoy. Just past the park area you will see gates, the remaining quarter mile of peninsula is beyond these gates with a second gate at the last private property on the end.
