The NeighborhoodMaylands is a convenient location for those who don't want to pay Perth $$ prices for accommodation. Things to see and do around my neighbourhood: - 8th Avenue, Maylands; 15 min walk (2 min drive) to cafe's, restaurants, fish & chips, boutiques, antiques and supermarket - Maylands Golf Club; 5 min walk offering cheap meals, bar and live entertainment on weekends (9 holes $16 weekdays) - IGA & Coles Supermarkets & Bottle Shops - Guildford Road; 15 min walk (2 min drive) - Mt Lawley; 40 min walk (5 min drive): cafe strip, restaurants, bars, entertainment - East Perth foreshore; 40 min walk (5 min drive) to parks, bbq's, restaurants, cafes, bars - Northbridge; 10 min drive (near city) to nightlife, nightclubs, restaurants, bars, cinemas - Burswood; 10 min drive to Casino, tennis centre, resort Please click on the Guidebook icon for supermarkets, banks, cafés & restaurant suggestions in the area. Getting AroundParking on the street is permitted, however not the verge. The complex is gated and requires a remote control to enter and there are limited visitor parking bays available. If you will be arriving by vehicle, please stipulate this in your booking request and I will endeavour to assist where possible. Maylands is 5km from the CBD and a 10 minute drive from the city. The Transperth No. 42 bus stop is 340m away on Peninsula Road and takes 20 minutes to the city, or the Maylands Train Station is a 20 minute walk away and then 5 minute train ride to the city - both fares ~$3 to Perth. Perth Domestic Airport is only 8km away ($25 taxi fare) and the Perth International Airport 14km away ($35 taxi fare). Other Things to NoteThe townhouse is 2 storey, with a set of stairs from the carport to the front door and then stairs to the bedrooms. If you are elderly or infirm I would not recommend this property.

The SpaceTop floor two bedroom apartment in small complex in Maylands. Only six kilometres from the CBD Perth and close to local shops and services. Fully furnished and fully equipped, the master bedroom has one queen sized bed and the second bedroom has a single and a trundle (bed underneath the single that can pull out if needed). A combined lounge/dining area has comfortable couches, a flat screen tv and dvd player and round table dining. There is air conditioning (heating and cooling) in the lounge room only and standard fans and oil heaters in the bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, upright oven with hob, microwave and refrigerator. There is a downstairs coin laundry and plenty of drying lines for sunshine fresh washing! Shops and services including supermarkets, bank and post office, library, specialty shops and cafes are a short walk from your front door. The City bus stop is 100 metres from your front door and takes 13 minutes to get you to Perth CBD. Please note that we offer a fourteen night minimum stay and a three month maximum. Convenient location for relocations, or visiting professionals! Please note that our cancellation policy is 50% accommodation refundable up to 30 days in advance of arrival. Getting AroundA great base from which to explore wider Perth. 100 metres to the City bus stop which takes just 13 minutes to get into the City. Closest train station is Meltham, on the Midland to Fremantle line, so a straight run through to the western suburbs beaches, Cottesloe and Fremantle, no train changes! 15 minutes to the Perth airport. Pulbic transport in Perth is a snap with a great web site that offers a journey planner option!

The SpaceLight and bright, clean and comfortable ground floor one bedroom apartment sleeps three. This apartment is self contained and fully equipped including bedding, linen and towels. The kitchen is fully equipped with hob and oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster and kettle. Utensils, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, glassware and a coffee machine are provided for your use. There is one bedroom with a comfortable queen sized bed and there is a sofa in the lounge that converts to a bed that will sleep one extra person. There is a large flat screen tv with dvd player and surround sound. Great location, only 6km from Perth CBD, 200 metres to train station and two minutes walk away from a cosmopolitan array of shops and services. The neighbourhood is cosmopolitan - a bevvy of interesting and eclectic eateries and specialty shops are within walking distance as is the local post office, bank, supermarket and public library. This is a non smoking apartment and our minimum stay term is fourteen nights. If you are looking for somewhere affordable that is very close to the City of Perth and a great base from which to explore Perth, you need look no further.

The SpaceIt is a modern two storey house - spacious and airy. There are two bedrooms available, connected by a bathroom. It is suitable for up to 4 people. If you have children I need to talk with you first. It is not usual that I will allow both rooms to be used at the same time except for family and then only maybe. It is not a boarding house. Each room is the same size with either a double mattress on a brass bed or a queen size mattress on legs. There is a built in wardrobe and a desk in each room. It's airconditioned; it's heated if necessary (only about 3 months at night only). There is wifi available and a desk top computer. Access to wifi is limited to small downloads because of KB use. Outside there is a garden and three verandas to look at the lakes or just sit out of the sun or rain have a jar or two and a smoke (only legal stuff no whacky bacy) and a gas BBQ (charge to use that is $2.00 just to pay for the bottled gas) and you need to clean it after you use it. Outside, there is often some berries or herbs or chilli to chew, just leave some for others. Outside (and sometimes inside) is shared by a dog (Australian Cattle Dog, almost knee height), lovely fellow, great temperament but don't yell at your wife or girlfriend (or anybody). There is an outside TV as well. There are barbells and dumbells outside for use (gratis). Breakfast of cereal, bread/toast tea or instant coffee. There is butter and jam (jelly I think the Americans call it) and also vegemite (definitely an acquired taste). That's gratis. Fruit and what is in the pantry and the fridge is not gratis. There is a delicatessen 200 metres away (and a coffee and pizza and italian food place, great food, but it has weird hours, alongside the deli) or the supermarkets are 20 minutes walk away (buses can be used but walking is enjoyable its perfectly safe even at night). There are Indian and Thai and Chinese and modern australian/ mediterranean and a few small bars all about 20 minutes walk. If your game there is a McDonalds also (yeeuch). Use the kitchen as you want - clean up after yourself, put it back where you found it. Use the laundry as you want, washing powder no charge. Just speak to me about the "lint" filter before using the washing machine. There is a Laundromat 200m metres away if you need a dryer for clothes. Onsite parking available, but uncovered. You can walk to the city around the river, takes about 45 minutes or more. Or you can use the bicycle that I have. Hmm, probably will have two usable bikes with stack hats(deposit required only against loss of lock key or damage. Not sure how much that deposit will be need to consider it more). There will be a small fee for chain and tyre replacement probably about $5.00 a day. Bus to the city is 200 metres away. There is a train station to the city and out to the hills and some historic towns. The station is easy to find and about 25 minutes walk. Really, the suburb has what it takes to be cool calm collected and relaxed. It is not really historical; it has rivers and parks with ducks and geese and swans (its no kakadu) and lakes and that is about all. But its close to the city; safe as can be, and its easy to get to major attractions in the city Northbridge bars and restaurants or cultural or shops whatever). Beach is about 40 minutes by public transport - easy to use, into the city and then off to the beach. Within 5-6 minutes walk is the Tennis club; public golf club; swimming pool play area; boat ramps; lawn bowling club too. There is an historic Tranby House nearby with Devonshire teas. Police dogs and horses are nearby. One of the most remote cities in the world; also one of the safest; also one of the cleanest. Definitely the best parks and gardens, although mainly au natural. The security deposit is in case you leave without handing the keys back. Guest AccessThe whole house inc outside areas laundry etc. Interaction with GuestsA reasonable amount if they want, in evenings. The NeighborhoodQuiet; parks; river; close to city; bike paths. Close to train and bus. Great café and restaurants close. Parks and gardens to walk in on the river. Getting AroundBus is 100metres away, direct to city. Alternatively bike path around river (or walk); alternatively 30 minutes walk to the train. Other Things to NoteIts a house not a boarding house. Plenty of verandahs for a quiet drink.

The SpaceMy house is 1930's so great high ceilings and jarrah floorboards. Your room has a lovely queen size bed with an electric blanket for cold nights! Free wifi. Guest AccessI live on my own but often have my 2 gorgeous grandchildren over. I am happy for you to use the house as yours. Use of the kitchen, dining, lounge and laundry. Your own bathroom. You have your own TV in your room but happy for you use the bigger one in the lounge. Plenty of DVDs available. Breakfast is self serve cereal/toast/tea/coffee. Interaction with GuestsI work full time shift work. If I'm not around when you arrive I'll make arrangements with the key. If there is anything I can do to help with your stay please feel free to ask. The NeighborhoodIt's a lovely safe reasonably quiet neighbourhood. Some beautiful old houses and 10mins walk and you're in the heart of Mt Lawley. 15 mins walk the other way and you're down by the river. Getting Around5 mins walk to the bus where a 15min drive gets you into the city. The front verge is wide and perfect for free off street parking. The easiest way from the airport is about a 20min taxi or you can bus into the city and back out again. Other Things to NoteAll my previous reviews are from my previous house just 1 block away. I've been so fortunate to have to have had such delightful guests. I have been working overseas for 7 months so no guests since last year. Now home and back with Airbnb!

The SpaceThe cool and comfortable one bedroom apartment with exposed brick has a true city feeling! Majestic city views day or night, Sunrise or Sunset a treat. It comfortably fits one person and is centrally located. Guest AccessA pool for those hot days. Shared kitchen / Living and Bathroom. Main bedroom is my study room. If you hear moaning it's because my head hurts from reading Legislation an other Acts of Law. Arrrggghhh. The NeighborhoodMount Lawley is one of the older suburbs in Perth. The Swan river is on our back doorstep and is a wonderful walk or to have a picnic. Getting AroundPublic transport right outside the front door. Train station an easy walk. Other Things to NoteThere's some car parking space available for those who get in early. Out front of the building. Morning and Evening traffic noise as next to main road.

A speaker system is there all you need to do is pug in your own IPod, computer or MP3 player and you can set the mood for your holiday. Interaction with GuestsWe correspond with our guests via email, txt and phone if required. The NeighborhoodOnly 500 metres to Dome Cafe and the railway station where you can use the public transport to go to the city or venture further down the track to the port city of Fremantle. The 8th Avenue shopping precinct is just across the tracks and has some very interesting boutique and antique shops with plenty of eating options - including fish and chips, 2 x Thai restaurants, Turkish Kebabs and various different styled cafes. (approx 1km) This area also boasts banks, post office, IGA Supermarket, chemist, numerous styles of Asian grocers, fresh fruit and veg market and hair and beauty salons. Getting AroundConveniently located 500m from the Maylands Train Station and only 4 stops from the city of Perth Train Station, an easy train switch can have you on your way to Fremantle for the day! :) The Cottage is located only a 10 min drive from the Perth Domestic Airport and 20 mins from the Perth International Airport.

The SpaceI have recently finished renovating the apartment. Both bedrooms have comfortable queen size beds, easily catering for up to four people. The apartment has a nice outdoor area to relax in, air conditioning, full laundry, well stocked kitchen facilities and plenty of free and easy parking at the complex. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire apartment and are welcome to use basic pantry items and coffee machine. There are heaps of DVDs and music available to keep you entertained, as well as access to fast free Wifi. Interaction with GuestsDepending on when you are checking in, I will try to meet you and show you around. I am usually running around working or studying, so I often leave a key out for guests to collect. I am easily contactable at all times during your stay and happy to offer tips or help with finding your way around Perth or the apartment. The NeighborhoodThe apartment is in a quiet suburban part of Mount Lawley in a great location, only a short walk from both the Mount Lawley and Maylands cafe strips. Mount Lawley is a trendy hipster area with boutique shops, great nightlife and some of Perth's best cafes bars and restaurants. It's also very close to the Perth CBD and airport. Supermarket, liquor store, gym, pubs and restaurants are all a short walking distance, and a quick bus ride will get you to even more cafes and shops very easily. Getting AroundThe apartment is midway between Mt Lawley and Maylands train station, less than 1km away (5-10 minutes walk). From there it's only about a 5 minute train ride to Perth CBD. This train line can also take you straight to Fremantle, another must see. It's a 5 minute walk to a main street with plenty of buses. From the airport, it's only a short 15 minute taxi drive away. Parking in the complex is not a problem. Please check out the location on the map and take a look at my guidebook! Other Things to NoteThis is my home when the apartment is not rented - so please be aware there are some personal items around the apartment. It also means it is fully stocked with everything guests could need. The apartment is compact but easily fits 4 people - what you see in the photos is what you get! If you need oodles of space then the apartment may not be for you. Check in and out times are flexible, generally check in is at 3pm and check out is by 11am on the day you leave if there are other bookings before or after yours. If you need anything other than this then I am happy to be flexible subject to other bookings - please let me know when booking!

The SpaceThis unique and very personal Villa offers a superb space to both share and socialise either inside or out. Whilst still being able to enjoy quite time alone when needed with an extra cosy lounge on the mezzanine level and two enclosed private courtyards. Its very central and an ideal location making it within minutes from everything you will need for your stay be it as a tourist to get around and onto the freeways or the simple things like supermarkets, restaurants and public transport which are within a 5 minute walk or explore a little and a 5 minute drive . We love to do the little extra things that count and so you will find the villa is always immaculately clean, pleasant little surprises and touches to delight you in addition to the manicured gardens, high quality fittings, fixtures, furnishings with pretty linen and luxurious soft cushioning. You won't be sharing this property with anyone just all to yourselves, it is rented as a whole apartment with exclusive use. All kitchen equipment is provided just as if you were at home with a full fan forced oven, a BBQ in the rear courtyard, microwave, coffee maker ,toaster, juicer, kettle and a full family sized fridge. Little extra's include a rice cooker, popcorn maker, blender, George Foreman Grill and even a foot spa upon request. If there is something you would like just ask. The courtyards are well maintained one front and another at the rear to enjoy both for entertaining and relaxing as one or a group. Maylands is just a quick train ride of less than 10 minutes to the very heart of the City of Perth for the ultimate shopping experience, tourist opportunities and night life and nearby North Bridge. We are a 15 minute drive to the domestic airport and a 20 minute drive to the international. Following the city signs onto the Tonkin Highway, a left onto Guildford Road and then another left onto our street. All very easy and I can send you exact directions if requested in PDF format. Getting AroundAcross the road is the bus stop and the train station is a simple 8 minute stroll down the cafe strip which will take you to all 4 corners of Perth all on average just 30 minutes away.     Neat and clean, tidy and comfortable, these two and three bedroom apartments will suit visiting professionals, those relocating to Perth, contract workers and working holiday makers. The minimum stay is 14 nights due to strata company rules. Ask about our contract term rates for three month stays. Our two bedroom apartments are fully furnished and fully equipped and will sleep four people. Our three bedroom apartment will sleep six people. The bedrooms have queen sized beds with all bedding and linen provided. Each apartment has a combined lounge/dining room with a digital tv and dvd player, comfortable couches, dining table and chairs; bathroom with shower over full sized bath (some apartments with just shower, no bath) with towels and bath mats provided; fully equipped kitchen with oven and hob, microwave and refrigerator, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery; downstairs coin laundry and plenty of drying lines.
