The SpaceTranquility Cove is a relaxing, 6 bedroom, 5 bath lakefront retreat located on a picturesque cove in one of California's most beautiful private lake and golf communities, in the Gold County Sierra Foothills of Auburn, California between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe North off Route 80 on Route 49 North. Only 1 Hr. to skiing at Sugar Bowl! The property features panoramic views off a large upper deck with Weber gas grill and Sarrah wood dining set which will comfortably seat 10 people. A covered downstairs patio connects to a large green lawn and a beautiful new ironwood dock, deck and bar (with sink and frig.) at water's edge where you can dangle your feet in the water, swim, fish or gaze at shooting stars. The new master bedroom / bath suite has full lake views from both the whirlpool bath and the custom Tahoe river rock shower and a new top of the line Simmons pillow top mattress. Dual sink vanity with a full lake reflecting mirror. The guest bedroom has a private deck with lake view and an adjacent bathroom with river rocked, rainfall shower with dual vanity. The great room has a large Tahoe river rock gas fireplace, Bertolini leather couches and a new mahogany and leather dining set which seats 8. The den areas includes a new 50 inch plasma with cable TV, HD DVD, high speed / wireless internet, PC and a great TV/conversation pit with a huge Hacienda leather sectional. There are decks off the family room, den, master bedroom and guest bedroom. Downstairs there is a larger TV room with cable, lake views, plenty of comfortable couches and easy chairs and a wet bar / microwave. The full kitchen with new GE appliances has a full lake view and large counter top and island for food prep or eating. Most small kitchen appliances available including toaster, toaster oven, microwave with convection oven, JennAir cooktop, blender, coffeemaker, electric tea kettle, etc. Lake of the Pines offers its own 19 hole golf course of 6140 yards in a beautiful setting surrounding the lake. It offers shots over water, canyons, creeks and bunkers and features a spectacular 6th tee elevated on a ridge far above the fairway. Lake of the Pines is located above the fog and below snow level, offering many great days of play through the year. Several additional well known courses in the area include Darkhorse and Ridge - both top ranked. The historic Sierra foothill "gold county" area also has many great restaurants and over a dozen wineries nearby and listed at our "more information" website which is linked below. Paddle boat and canoe for use by guests. Guests may NOT bring their own boats (association rule - fines result from violation). By special permission only, certain pets are allowed. Tranquility Cove is a great place for corporate retreats and family reunions for groups who love the panoramic beauty and tranquility of the location - many big sitting areas to gather and converse and enjoy the scenery and great views. Warm friendly neighbors. This is NOT a place for rowdy "college" parties. The community has its own security with controlled gate access - all guests must be registered at the front gate and follow same association rules as owners. The SpaceWe have 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a bonus room for the 9th and 10th guests. We stay in the house in a separate apartment at the front of the house but stay out of the way during your stay (we do not enter the house while you are with us unless invited). Our entrance is separate from yours and our apartment is not connected to the house. We will be parking in the garage and possible you will see us walking from the garage to our apartment on the front end of the house. The upstairs Suite has 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. The downstairs suite has one bedroom, one bathroom, and a large family room with a big screen TV. The bedroom configuration is: Upstairs Suite Bedroom 1- Queen Bed Bedroom 2- Two Single beds and a "toddler bed" Bedroom 3- Queen Bed One bathroom with a walk-in shower Downstairs Suite Bedroom 4- Queen Bed One bathroom with a tub/shower Family Room (can be used as a 5th bedroom for guests 9 and 10)- A Queen size air mattress can be set up. This mattress inflates to sitting height and has a built in headboard, it is not flat on the ground. It is a top of the line air mattress. We do not rent the Suites separately, so if you book the property, you will be the only guests. We do not smoke and our entire property is non-smoking. Lingering smoke smell on bedding may incur extra cleaning charges after your departure. We are not able to host your pets. Pets of family and friends may not visit. If you invite guests to visit for meals, there will be an extra cleaning charge. Guest AccessGuests have access to the Large Living Room with fireplace, gormet kitchen with all the utensils and dishes your can imagine, family room with giant tv, as well as the second floor open Library. The pool is open in the summer, and the Greenhouse is available for dining year-round. Interaction with GuestsWe will interact with you to the level that you desire. We will be present during your stay in the apartment attached to the front of the house. The NeighborhoodYou can enjoy two forks of the American River, gold discovery and mining sites, day trips to Lake Tahoe, the Napa Valley, or San Francisco. The SpaceThe Ranch House offers a quiet, magical setting with several, shared acres to run about and a smaller, gated, private yard. Comfortably sleeps four people, with a queen bed in the bedroom and a full-sized, pullout couch in the living/dining combo room. Two storage sheds are offered for your bicycles or, if you're in the middle of a relocation, your worldly possessions. Sit with a cup of locally roasted coffee while taking in the view of pastureland and tree-covered foothills. There's a good chance you'll see deer or wild turkeys, especially in the evening! Take advantage of the sunroom as protected area to read, paint, or just enjoy the view. Put your culinary skills to work in the fully supplied kitchen, admiring the garden and horse pasture out the window over the sink. Dine and sip around the table, either inside or on the grapevine covered patio on a warm evening. Relax with a bath at the end of a day filled with a couple laps around the mile-loop road, marathon frisbee sessions in a field with Fido, and wading, panning for gold or even swimming in the year-round creek. The SpaceEnjoy our downstairs area of our home which we have converted into a two room apartment with it's own entrance. Relax at the pool with a great view of the trees and wildlife. Comes with a gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and small fridge. Gas and wood BBQ to use as well. Some of the latest movies on DVD, Cable TV with 100 channels, Very Fast Internet at 75mbs Prices include 8% Occupancy Tax Free bottle of wine with your stay! Just one mile away is Christina's American Bistro serving Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. We also have a grocery store, pharmacy,, and pizza parlor in Meadow Vista. If you love wine, Bear River Winery is just a half mile away. Many other great boutique wineries near by. Plenty of activities like Gold Panning, Golfing, Fishing, and Kayaking on the American River. Auburn is the endurance capitol of the world and hosts the Tevis Cup and the Western States 100 mile run. Old Town Auburn offers some great dining and Micro Brewery's. We love our community of Meadow Vista and enjoy our charming small town. We're around two thousand feet in elevation. The pine trees are amazing. and smell wonderful. Feels like you are coming home to a private retreat. Located only five minutes from I-80 and only ten minutes from Historic Auburn , California. We have a Pillow Top Cal King in the bedroom, and two Full size beds in the living room. Normal Check in is at 3pm, and check out is noon. We are flexible with those times if scheduling permits. This is a spacious sleeping platform with futon and dining table and chairs nestled in a gorgeous natural meadow. Includes use of hammock and picnic table, trails and all the delights of living in nature. Each season brings different wonders to the experience. The wildflowers in spring are profuse. The grasses and grazing deer in the summer are enchanting. The owls and breezes in the fall are symphonic as you snuggle under your feather comforter. In the winter, the rushing sound of Orr Creek's waters will lull you to sleep. It is a dreamy place to dream, relax and commune with nature, watch the clouds drift by and rest in the sunshine. Far removed from road traffic, this is a true wilderness experience with every possible comfort. If you prefer a bit of shelter, we have an easy to pop-up breezeway shelter that affords 360 degree views but encloses the bed and dining area inside. It is not problem to pop it up if you prefer to be enclosed in a screened in space while you sleep! Whether you sleep out in the open or within the breezeway, your experience Includes clean 100% cotton flannel sheets and pillow cases, down puff comforter and coverlet and down pillows and a simple, yummy, all organic breakfast. Breakfast of fresh organic local bread w/ organic butter and home-made organic jams is served with organic coffee in the morning on your private wrought iron table and chairs which are located on the sleeping platform. The outhouse is simple, tidy and private. Auburn is located in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Water rushing from the Sierra mountain tops fills our river canyons with exciting white water and many recreational opportunities. For those coming to explore the American River Canyons' many hundred miles of trails, or to run or ride the many endurance events that make this community famous, or to explore the wineries and quaint and historic gold rush town of Auburn, this is a very convenient and easily accessed spot. It feels a 1,000 miles from anywhere, but it isn't! We are only 5 minute from I-80. We are 10 minutes from shopping and the five star restaurants of Auburn. Trails from our property connect with regional trails suitable for bicycles, horses, runners or hikers. We are just one hour from the Sierra Nevada's summit and great skiing at Sugar Bowl. Lake Tahoe is less than 1.5 hours away. If you want to know where to hike, bike, gorge scramble or raft our American River Canyons, we are a great resource because we have recreated in and explored these wondrous places for 28 years. You are welcome to visit with our goats and check the chicken coop for eggs. No access to main house will be necessary, because all of your needs will be met on your little island of comfort in the meadow; although provisions may be made for house access, garden tours and swimming pool use subject to owner discretion. Parking is provided conveniently, but it is not visible from the sleeping platform. Cell phone service is available here. Interaction with GuestsPrivacy or social interaction - it is your choice. Your meadow bedroom is approximately 100 yards from the main house; so if you want complete privacy, you have it. If you want to learn about the trails and natural history of the land and the flora and fauna here, we will be pleased to share that information with you. Of course, we will bring you wash-water and hand towels and warm wash water upon your arrival; so you can freshen up after your journey. We will need to know if you want cream with your coffee or tea; so we will have some interaction in any case; but the magic of the meadow will be yours to enjoy in privacy. The NeighborhoodChristian Valley is lovely lane that meanders through beautiful foothill woodland and terminates 4 miles from I-80. The community of Christian valley is an incredibly peaceful and establish neighborhood of single family homes situated on 1+ acre lots. Our meadow is secluded across a little bridge spanning Orr Creek and is a world away from the hub-bub of civilization. It is an oasis - a unique nature preserve and bucolic living environment. Getting AroundTaxi's and the Super Shuttle can be scheduled for pick ups and deliveries. There is no bus service. Other Things to NoteDo not worry about plumbing. Our outhouse is unconventional but perfectly sanitary and convenient. We use REI's potty buckets for #1 and #2 and compost what we can and dispose of the rest after you toss wood chips on top. It's better than camping facilities! We have cotton chinz draperies to provide privacy and the view is exceptional.

The SpaceWerewolf Ranch is a first year Ranch and Farm growing organic vegetables, and raising grass-fed lamb, dairy goats, laying hens, and ducks. Our primary focus is regenerating the land through sustainable agricultural practices (permaculture, if you're into that kind of thing). The guest area is a beautiful villa with a cozy queen-sized bed in each room, amazing natural lighting, breathtaking oak savannah views, with a clean and fresh feel. The third bed we offer is a top of the line queen air mattress, that may fit in either one of the bedrooms, or in the living room area. The villa has a 400 Sq. ft studio available for yoga, meditation, meetings, or small parties (equipped with yoga mats and blankets). The Villa also has it's own private deck overlooking a picturesque bucolic landscape, highly recommended for a glass of chilled white wine in the late afternoon. The quaint kitchenette has a water heater, tea & coffee, refrigerator, microwave, and toaster. Our 35 acre property lends itself to leisurely nature walks and creekside picnics. This area has everything a vacation needs: great nature, excellent restaurants, friendly people, plenty of recreation (hiking, biking, inner-tubing, gold panning, birdwatching, fishing, white water rafting, skiiing, and wine tasting). In just a short drive you can find picturesque swimming holes along the Yuba, American, or Bear rivers! Additionally, there are 17 wineries in the Nevada County area offering unique varieties you won't find anywhere else. Getting AroundThe 49 highway is a short drive away, which will take you to Grass Valley and Nevada City in 20 minutes, Auburn in 15 minutes, Sacramento in 45 minutes, Truckee in 60 minutes, and South Lake Tahoe in 2 hours. Other Things to NoteDogs are welcome here, as long as they are well behaved. We have three of our own dogs as well as livestock, so if your pup is not good with other dogs, might kill a chicken, or chase a lamb, it might be better for them to either stay home or be on a leash for their stay. Also, a big WARNING: There is a presence of rattlesnakes and ticks on our property. We urge our guests to exercise caution and we do not take responsibility for wildlife mishaps. Also, this is a working ranch. There are inherent risks involved in walking around the property (uneven ground, spiny plants, etc.). So many things to do here -from gathering eggs in the morning to hiking to visiting the American River Canyon and all its wonders just 15 minutes away. Home, and you are welcome to build a bonfire or sit by the indoor fireplace as weather allows. Wonderful library. Wonderful sounds of owls and deer footfalls through your window.     The SpaceThis is a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor, and includes: • 1 queen bed • 2 couches that fold out into double beds (Much more comfy than hide-a-beds!) We also have 2 double high queen air-mattresses, if you would prefer to keep the couches for sitting on. • Full kitchen • Bathroom with walk-in shower (no tub) • Covered lanai • Barbecue The walk to the river takes just a few minutes and is a 200' elevation change. The path is wide and switch backs a few times. We have a very friendly Australian Shepherd and 6 goats that are great entertainment! We might even have some goats’ milk ice cream or hot raw cacao milk to share! We also have veggies and fruit from our garden to share, depending on the season. We are generally above the fog and below the snow during the winter months. With easy access to the mountains for hiking, skiing, etc. If you are interested in a RELAXING or HEALING RETREAT, I offer massage and therapeutic bodywork, acupuncture, medical qi gong treatments (Chinese energy work), and private and group qi gong exercise instruction, which is great to do by the river! At One River Medicine, we have a pharmacy of over 300 herbs on tincture and in bulk, and our own line of herbal teas. If you’d rather keep to yourself for a quiet retreat, this is a great place for that! The NeighborhoodWe are in a rural community, yet just 10-15 minutes from Auburn. Meadow Vista has 2 parks. The bigger one has a paved walking path around a pond and ball fields, and a play structure and picnic areas. The smaller park has a swimming pool. We also have hiking/mountain biking trails which can be accessed just a mile or 2 from our house. The town of Meadow Vista has a grocery store, bank, post office, pharmacy, small café, and our wellness center, One River Medicine. Auburn has a lot more to offer for shopping, dining and theater. Other Things to NoteIf you would like to enjoy the property after check out time, you are welcome to hang out at the river for the day. Also, ask about early check-in, if desired. We will try to accommodate your travel plans.

You can hear birds chirping and the bullfrogs croaking from the serine fishing pond in the evenings. Situated as a darling guest unit to the back of the main home, this private space has all of the comforts of home and close to what the "GOLD COUNTRY" has to offer, such as rafting down the American river, many boutique wineries and craft breweries. The Nevada County Fairgrounds is a 15-20 minute drive from us, along with Empire Mines, Fast Friday Motorcycle speedway, Museums, small town shopping venues, Antique shops, Auburn County Fairgrounds, Folsom and Collins lake for boating, skiing and fishing, and many popular recreational areas, hiking and biking trails, and horse trails too ! Very secluded and quiet setting without children. TV with basic Channels and HBO, (sorry, no HBO movies on demand). Pets must stay with owner on a leash with access to the cottage and rear fenced yard and front space of the cottage only. Dogs cannot be left unattended during your stay. The streets are quiet and reasonably level enough for biking, running or walking peacefully quiet "bedroom community" neighborhood. Other Things to NoteWe absolutely do no accept smoking, vaping or use of illegal drugs or marijuana anywhere on the property. We have two of our own well behaved dogs on the property on the other side of the main house in a dog yard of their own. No children reside on the ranch. Parking is available for 2 cars. Approved well behaved pets are accepted if we are notified IN ADVANCE and exactly how many will be coming with you. Your morning coffee is provided- you have your choice to make a cup of drip, French press, or good old fashioned coffee maker. There's also a bedroom (Queen bed), bathroom, and access to the spacious yard. Upstairs, you'll find a large master suite with a Cal-King bed/mattress and an attached bathroom and private deck. Next door to the master is a small bunk room with twin bunk beds. There's also an open TV room / game room, equipped with wireless internet and AppleTV for your entertainment. The NeighborhoodOur home is located at the end of a half-mile long private road. You pass our nearest neighbor before you head down our driveway and won't see them again until you leave. While sitting on your private deck, the only other "residence" you will see is our chicken coop on the side of the hill. The Ranch House offers a quiet, magical setting with several, shared acres to run about and a smaller, gated, private yard. Comfortably sleeps four people, with a queen bed in the bedroom and a full-sized, pullout couch in the living/dining combo room. Two storage sheds (8x8x6 and a smaller one) are offered for your bicycles or, if you're in the middle of a relocation, your worldly possessions. Sit with a cup of locally roasted coffee while taking in the view of pastureland and tree-covered foothills. There's a good chance you'll see deer or wild turkeys, especially in the evening! Take advantage of the sun room as protected area to read, paint, or just enjoy the view. Put your culinary skills to work in the fully supplied kitchen, admiring the garden and sheep pasture out the window over the sink. Dine and sip around the table, either inside or on the grapevine covered patio on a warm evening. Relax with a bath at the end of a day filled with a couple laps around the mile-loop road, marathon Frisbee sessions in a field with Fido, and wading, panning for gold or even swimming in the year-round creek.       The 'Lake House' is a four-bedroom cottage, situated beside a beautiful 450-acre lake in the Sierra Nevada foothills of northern California.       Just fully remodeled, this home offers a clean modern twist in a quiet country setting. It is an amazing getaway for a family, or an individual looking for the ultimate retreat away from daily life. This is a vacation home - not private residence. The second you walk in to the house, you'll be greeted by high vaulted ceilings and a beautiful newly remodeled, modern kitchen with a large island for friends and family to gather around. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to make a gourmet meal- you just need to bring the ingredients. Your morning coffee is provided- you have your choice to make a cup of drip, French press, or good old fashioned coffee maker. There's also a bedroom (Queen bed), bathroom, and access to the spacious yard. Upstairs, you'll find a large master suite with a Cal-King bed/mattress and an attached bathroom and private deck. Next door to the master is a small bunk room with twin bunk beds. There's also an open TV room / game room, equipped with wireless internet and AppleTV for your entertainment. During the warm summer months we put a bed outside on the sleeping porch. There is a full size aero-bed with bedding and a portable crib in the closet down stairs. We just added a large spa outside to enjoy the stars.

This beautiful 20 acre estate is unlike anything you will find in the sierra foothills or even the state of California. Custom home built in a New England style begs enjoyment and relaxation. Enjoy sitting on the covered porch overlooking a pristine landscaped pond and listen to fits of laughter as your friends and family jump from the dock and splash around in the crisp water. Relax in the garden with a good book or get some exercise on a hike or a bike ride and catch a glimpse of the Bear River. Stop and nuzzle velvety noses along the way (this is a horse property) or pick a few blackberries and bake a pie in a beautiful cook's kitchen. Get the competitive juices flowing with a game of croquet on the manicured back lawn or head to the horseshoe pit. Unwind by the fire or hot tub and feel as if you were transported to a spa. Take an ultra refreshing outdoor shower and you won’t be disappointed! Feeling Adventurous? Try wine tasting at Mount Vernon Winery or visit historic Old Town Auburn Nevada City or Lake Tahoe. Breathtaking hikes and top notch skiing is a mere hour drive on Interstate 80. Fabulous golf courses abound in every direction.       Enjoy our downstairs area of our home which we have converted into a two room apartment with it's own entrance. Relax at the pool with a great view of the trees and wildlife. New bathroom, Cal King Tempurpedic, and two Full beds. Full Kitchen with gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and small fridge. Gas BBQ and Fire Pit. Just one mile away is Christina's American Bistro serving Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. We also have a grocery store, pharmacy,, and pizza parlor in Meadow Vista. If you love wine, Bear River Winery is just a half mile away. Many other great boutique wineries near by. Plenty of activities like Gold Panning, Golfing, Fishing, and Kayaking on the American River. Auburn is the endurance capitol of the world and hosts the Tevis Cup and the Western States 100 mile run. Old Town Auburn offers some great dining and Micro Brewery's. If you have any mobility problems then our rental may not be a good fit.       Fantastic lakefront home with dock for your boat. Home has 4 bedrooms plus a bonus room and loft area. 2 king beds and 2 queens in the 4 bedrooms, plus a trundle bed with two twins in the bonus room, and a queen sofa sleeper in the loft area. Pool with waterfall and cave, spa, outdoor kitchen, one gas fire pit on the upper deck, one wood burning outdoor fireplace on pool deck, tiki bar, too many amenities to list. Combie is not a private lake, but there is no public access, and homes are usually situated on acreage making this one of the premier waterskiing/water sports lakes anywhere. Lake also has a water ski slalom course and great fishing.
