Interaction with GuestsI enjoy sharing the beauty of Auckland with visitors and I am more than happy to help you in planning what to do in NZ and can offer tips and advice. I have even put together a guide book with suggestions of great places in Auckland to check out. I have stayed in airbnb places around the world and always had great experiences -staying in other peoples places has given me a good insight into the role of a host. I very much enjoy meeting people from all over the world and would be keen to catch up at the end of the day with a drink. But I am also happy to offer you space and privacy if this is what you prefer :) The NeighborhoodStonefields is a new development located in the central eastern suburbs of Auckland. With no through traffic it makes for very quiet suburban streets. A very safe area with stunning views over a volcano called Mt Wellington.
The apartment is:
-1.5km from Glen Innes Train station
-20km from the airport

Walk only 5 min down the road and you're in the Stonefield markets where you can have a coffee at the best cafe around Charlie and George, or a afternoon drink at the Speights Ale House or why not stay for a few more drinks and dinner, or pop next door to the local Italian restaurant or Japanese restaurant for something yummy. In the market is also a supermarket, liquor store, nail bar, medical centre, pharmacy and other shops which come in handy....
There are 3 further shopping areas (Lunn Ave Shops, Glen Innes Shops and Panmure Shops) all around 2kms away. These shopping areas all have restaurants, banks, fast-food outlets, supermarkets, train stations, ATMs, Chinese takeaways, Indian food shops, libraries, swimming pools, rock-climbing, parks, a golf courses etc .

My place is a 10min walk to University of Auckland's Tamaki Campus so its perfect for anyone travelling for a conference or course there. Other Things to NoteI will be at work during normal business hours - I'm a Nurse Specialist working with children who are suspected of having suffered abuse or neglect. And I'm often out in the evenings too doing voluntary work helping new refugee families and catching up with friends and family. So you will largely have the apartment to yourself for most of the time! But I am always available by phone and email if needed.
I appreciate plenty of notice as to what time you would like to check in so I can make arrangements.....If you wanting to arrive during my working hours then I will try to arrange for my Mum or a neighbour to meet you and let you in. Once you have arrived you will be given a key of your own so you can come and go whenever.
Smoke-free apartment - smokers need to go outside to the footpath to smoke.
