The SpaceThe house is a bit older and that remains some traditional charm in it.
We are offering a Japanese style bedroom upstairs that is newly refurbished. You'll see lush greens and a small Japanese garden style "Tsubo Niwa" out from the bedroom window. We have named this room "椿 Camellia" because that is what you see out when its in the season - May. This is a clean, pleasant, sunny and peaceful space.
We are offering another bedroom for airbnb guests. The room is located downstairs, right next to the garden. So it will be possible for you to have whole house as a 2 bedroom house for all yourself. This trendy, fashion forward and cultural area contains lots of cool boutiques, interesting shops and excellent eatery. In the other hand, there are many old temples and Sentos still remain in the area and they make good contrast to each other. Traditional communal bathhouse-Sento is one of old important culture of Japan that is sadly disappearing quickly and only 16 of them are left in Meguro district now. Luckily 2 of them are within a few min. walk from us.
For over a decay, this area has been listed as the most desirable area to live for hipsters. The beautiful cherry blossoms along the Meguro River in late March to early April is definitely not to be missed. During this season, the Cherry Blossom Festival is held for an entire week in this area that brings many food stalls, drink stalls and crowd is a super fun event!! Nakameguro is also very close proximity to Daikanyama, Ebisu and Shibuya and are walkable distances to each other.
The house is located in a very quiet residential neighborhood and is very very very safe! But in the same time its very close to all convenience and places of interest.
Between and around the both stations to the house, there are many many many restaurants and bars, cafes, convenient stores, super markets, patisseries/bakeries, boutiques, vintage stores, hair salons, clinics/hospital, acupuncture/massage parlors, book stores, flowers shops, banks, pharmacies/drug stores, postal office and more....
There are 2 Sentos right near by (Traditional bath house that are sadly quickly disappearing) where is a nice place to relax after a long day of walking around. Several local temples and shrines, one of major park is around here as well. ¥100 Lawson (convenient store) near by is open 24hrs that is like small super market which price are set for ¥100! Quite handy! Getting Around︎ Yūtenji Station – 0.8 km/10 min walk to/from the house.
