The SpaceThe guest room has all be remodeled within the past 2 years with brand new carpeting, paint, curtains, TV, and bedding. There is a Keurig personal brewer with a variety of k cups, dairy and non dairy creamers and coffee mugs. The dorm size refrigerator is stocked with some bottled waters. The TV is a 32inch 1080p HD with a DVR and premium cable TV channels. The living room has a 48" 1080p HD smart TV with DVR and Wii game system. The kitchen is very well stocked and I will provide a full breakfast of your choice and you are more than welcome to join us for dinner each night. As I've lowered the rate for my listing recently if looking for the elaborate dinners I used to serve please see my listing in the bed and breakfast section if you'd be wanting those meals of stuffed salmon, lobster, steaks, etc. This listing is now budget friendly and dinners are now more of a typical family dinner. There are premium cable channels, HBO, Cinemax, Starz, Epix, Showtime, and an extended sports package. I do allow smoking in common areas but not in the bedroom. Guest AccessAll areas of the home are accessible aside from our personal bedroom. It is very important to us to keep our personal bedroom off limits to guests as it is against our beliefs for others to enter the room. All floors except for the bathrooms have been replaced in the past couple years as well as all appliances other than the dishwasher. There have been many upgrades in the 3 years I've owned it from the hot water heater to the front door. There is well stocked coffee bar, many different varieties of tea, juices, fruits, and homemade breads available to you at any time. Nearly any toiletry item you could need is available for your use from essentials like shampoo to disposable razors. We even keep a supply of new toothbrushes in case someone may have forgotten theirs. The pool is by key access only. No extra guests in the home or pool without prior approval. Interaction with GuestsI am able to adjust meal times to fit your schedule within reason as I work from home and am able to adjust my schedule somewhat easily. I offer a full breakfast with choice of waffles, pancakes, eggs any style, hash browns, fruits, sausages, bacon, omelets, homemade yogurt, etc. I am also fine with adjusting meals to fit certain needs of various religions or medical needs. I do not do all organic diets though as it increases my costs to much. We are friendly people and aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I have owned a restaurant years ago and all breads and soups and even yogurts and ice cream are made from scratch. This is a very quiet home as well as a very quiet neighborhood as most of the residents of this condominium complex are retired. From June 1 to Labor Day there is a pool open. When the weather is nice there is a private deck off of the kitchen with grill, bar, bistro table, and glider bench for relaxing outside. Absolutely everything is cleaned between guests from every bit of bedding to shampooing the carpet. We are of very different cultures, religions, and age groups. We do not expect people to understand our relationship but we do expect others staying with us to be respectful of it. We will always treat others with respect and courtesy. We like to keep dinners much like a family environment with our guests but also leave you alone other times unless you need something or would like to socialize. Aside from meal times we tend to be in our bedroom either studying or working. The NeighborhoodThe condo is in a very quiet area of the city near the freeway. The complex is mainly retired people and very safe. When I bought this condominium I wanted to be as close as possible to the suburbs without actually leaving the city of Milwaukee. It is only a couple of miles to Mequon (Ozaukee county) and Menominee Falls (Waukesha county) It's nice and quiet here yet not to far off the beaten path to get to a variety of restaurants, bars, shopping, parks, and golf course as well as other attractions by car within a few miles. There is nothing within walking distance and public transportation does not run often in my area. I chose my home a few years ago with safety and quiet as my priority. There is both Uber and Lyft available here for those who would not have a car. Parking is off street in the condo complex lot right out front. Getting AroundAlthough there is a bus stop right outside the complex it doesn't run as often as most. The unit is very close to the Hwy 45 and Good Hope Rd exit. A short distance to the Milwaukee County Zoo and Froedert Hospital. We do have Uber and Lyft here. I myself do not drive and use a couple of neighbors as drivers being more reasonably priced than the typical services available and can easily arrange paid rides for guests most of the time if needed. Other Things to NoteWe will allow smoking in common areas but not in the room itself as we find it important to keep it as never having been smoked in and to well ventilated areas I can clean at any time without disrupting the privacy of guests. I will accept a small dog so long as it is housebroken and well socialized. My 5 lb dog gets along well with anyone and there is a 15 lb weight limit for the condominium complex we live in. My dog is of a hypoallergenic breed to not cause problems for those with allergies.

The SpaceI've spent the past 3 years remodeling to upgrade most of our home but it is not fancy. Nearly everything is new aside from 1 bathroom I have left to remodel. We aim to make it feel as much as a home away from home as possible. A place where people feel comfortable in a laid back atmosphere. I have been hosting for 7 years before coming to airbnb. I have had guests from India, China, Canada, England, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Africa, and Australia over the years and can easily adjust meals to fit with a variety of ethnic backgrounds when needed. The guest room has a full size bed, desk with lamp, 32" 1080p TV with DVR, mini fridge stocked with bottled water and iced tea, Keurig personal brewer with variety of k cups and creamers. We have most premium cable TV channels including HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Starz, Encore, and Epix and more. Common areas Living room has a coffee bar, fireplace, 48" 1080p smart TV with DVR and Wii game system. The smart TV in the living room has access to Youtube, Pandora, and a number of other apps. Kitchen always has things available on the table to snack on, Washer and dryer you're free to use, fridge with water and ice dispenser, and usually some leftovers if you're hungry and want something other than the fruits and baked goods on the table between the breakfast and dinner provided. (During the summer months the fruits and breads can be found in the refrigerator) There is a basket of trial sized items in the guest room in case you may have forgotten something like toothpaste, deodorant, or a toothbrush. There are also small bars of soap for those who prefer a bar over body wash. There are many different types of body wash, shampoo, face wash, and conditioner in the bathroom you're welcome to use as well as laundry soap and fabric softener in the closet off the kitchen on the washer and dryer. The pool is open 8 am to 10 pm. As mentioned before we want guests to feel comfortable. We do NOT care if you want to take food up to your room or into the living room to be comfortable eating while watching a movie or something. I clean every part of the bedding and carpet between each guest from shampooing the carpet to washing the pillows. I've purchased the American made My Pillow in order to withstand the constant washing as well as having adjustable stuffing to suit both those who prefer a fluffy pillow and those who prefer a flatter pillow. As the air conditioner is on it's last legs it will not keep up to July and August heat if any windows are open. It is roughly 76 degrees in the house with the air running and all windows closed. Although we do allow smoking it is to be kept to the common areas downstairs only where there is better ventilation and also where I am able to clean more without disturbing guests privacy. The living room carpet is shampooed at least once a week as well as after any smoking guest or guest with a pet has stayed. The leather couches are also wiped down weekly or after any smoking guest or guest with pets in order to ensure those things don't affect anyone with allergies. Our dog is a hypoallergenic breed and shouldn't affect anyone's allergies. Guest AccessGuests have access to everything but our own personal bedroom. We want guests to feel comfortable here like they're staying with family. There are always juices, milk, and sodas in the fridge that you're welcome to at any time. We keep a variety of fruit as well as homemade bread on the kitchen table that you are also welcome to at any time. ( Fruit and breads can be found in the refrigerator during summer months) There are also at least a dozen different kinds of tea in the kitchen. The coffee bar in the living room has French roast coffee, espresso, chicory, and coconut coffees, a variety of syrups to make flavored coffees, frothers to make the creamed topping from any of the varieties of milk in the fridge (almond milk, 2%, or soy milk) I will make something for you if you'd like and I'm not busy or you're welcome to help yourself. There are recipe books for coffees on the bar. Interaction with GuestsI work from home and am almost always here working, cooking, or cleaning. Due to the types of meals I serve I'm usually in and out of the kitchen most of the day. I have owned a restaurant in the past and absolutely love to cook. I take pride in the meals I provide. Upon arrival there will be wine, cheese, and some other appetizer waiting for you. Dinner is always a full dinner with soup and/or salad, side dish, entree, and sometimes a dessert. If you have any food restrictions please let me know and I can adjust what I'm serving to meet a variety of dietary restrictions due to religion or health issue such as diabetes. I do not do all organic foods or gluten free but can meet most dietary restrictions. We buy everything we possibly can locally to provide the best quality foods we can as well as give an experience of what Wisconsin has to offer. As my other half has a love of anything with beer and cheese in it and Wisconsin is known for both so there is always some form of beer and cheese upon arrival. If the rate seems a little higher than others in the area please keep in mind the rate includes meals and other things not provided by others. Dinners often include steak, crab, lobster, or salmon and once in a while a surf and turf of either steak and crab or steak and lobster. We are fine with either socializing with you in or out of the house or leaving you to have privacy. I work from home and other than meal times and cooking am usually in my bedroom. My other half will spend most of the daytime hours studying at the library and is barely noticeable although sociable and polite. Wines come from Cedar Creek Winery in Cedarburg Wisconsin (a cute little town to visit) All our salmon and trout comes from Silver Moon Springs in Elton Wisconsin. All of our different flavors of raw honeys and real maple syrup comes from John and Lorraine's Hobby in Random Lake Wisconsin. All of our homemade jams, pickles, and other pickled items come from the Kooky Kanner in Brown Deer Wisconsin. Fresh produce is purchased from farmers markets. Cheese is purchased from farmers markets and Cedar Creek Winery. Beers are made by a variety of Wisconsin breweries and sodas are made by Sprecker brewery. Bacon and other pork products come from Patrick Cudahy in Cudahy Wisconsin By the end of summer we hope to get to the point of getting all of our eggs, beef, chicken, and other products from local farmers as well. I bake the breads myself as well as making homemade yogurt and custard. In Wisconsin custard is a creamier version of ice cream rather than the pudding it is in many other places. Entrees for dinner can be anything from lasagna to lobster thermidor. I generally have something planned but if you have a food allergy or dietary restriction I always have a second option available I could make. Breakfast is a full breakfast of your choice. Waffles, pancakes, eggs any style, omelets, bacon, ham, sausage, hash browns, yogurt, French toast, etc. Just let me know what time you'd like breakfast and what you'd like and I will have it ready in the morning. I will serve dinner at the time of your choosing up to 7:30 PM. Please let me know what time you'd like to eat at least a few hours in advance so that I can schedule my day to fit yours. We love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. We are from different cultures ourselves. Please keep in mind that since meals are provided when you sit down to eat there will likely be dishes in the sink and pots on the stove as they have been used to make the food. I hide everything possible in the dishwasher until guests are sleeping or gone for the day to wash when nobody is around but there is no way to not have some of these things visible without discontinuing serving meals or lowering the quality by making things earlier and reheating in order to have nothing on the stove or counter. The NeighborhoodOur home is off the beaten path nowhere near the downtown activities. I chose our home due to the quiet and safety of the area. Our home is close enough to the Cedarburg Winery for a day trip through the small town. I am also close to the I45 freeway and it's not to all that far for a trip to the zoo or for those working at Froedert Hospital. I chose our home for the quiet and safety of the neighborhood. The only thing within reasonable walking distance is the championship golf course located behind the condo complex. The neighborhood is on the far north west corner of Milwaukee bordering Menominee Falls, Mequon, and nearby to Brown Deer suburbs. Getting AroundOur home is not a realistic stay for those who do not either have a car or use uber. Although there is a city bus it only runs weekdays during prime business hours. Other Things to NoteWe do have a small dog. He's very friendly and absolutely loves it when he has other little dogs stay as guests! Many different teas, coffee, juice, fruit, and breads are available for you in the kitchen at any time. I stop serving at 7:30 PM but you are more than welcome to help yourself after that. There is a 15 lb weight limit for dogs due to condo association rules so please do not reserve if you'd be planning on bringing a dog much larger than that. I'm not about to weigh your dog so if it at least looks under 20 lbs it's fine.

The SpaceOnce you have checked in with me, you will be able to come and go without disturbing anyone and without anyone knowing, because there is a door in this first-floor room that leads outside. Since this listing is for recurring guests, once you have been here you will be able to check yourself in (I'll keep the door open for you!) and make yourself comfortable! On your first visit I will most certainly welcome you, show you where things are that you might need, make a list of things you need that I don't have and let you know that there is usually coffee in the pot 24/7! If you are a business traveler and need some extra house space occasionally, this can most likely be arranged. Guest AccessYou will have complete and private access to a first-floor bedroom, bathroom and den. There is a small cable television in the bedroom, a larger television (I lost the remot!) in the den, bath items for your use and a sink in the corner of the bedroom where you can make your morning coffee in private if you like - just ask me for a pot! Interaction with GuestsI will totally respect your privacy unless there is an urgent need to do otherwise. You are welcome to ask me anything you need to ask. I am very friendly and welcoming, but also enjoy my private. (I sleep upstairs.) The NeighborhoodThis is a beautiful neighborhood! My place used to be a farm, but big, fancy homes have been built along the south edge of it. It is extremely safe here - no need to lock your car unless you really want to! It is also very quiet. My home is on a dead-end street and is surrounded on three side by fields. Getting AroundWe do not have public transportation here. Uber is making its way to the area, but I would not count on it at this point. There will be room for you to park in the driveway. There is a small town with several good restaurants, a drugstore, etc., about a mile from my home. Other Things to NoteI have two dogs at the moment, although shortly one (my daughter's) will most likely be going to live with her. They are Shelties and they do bark now and then, but hopefully not during the night! I might occasionally have to walk through the den to get to the laundry room, but I will make every effort not to surprise you! Please let me know if you want your bed made daily; otherwise I will assume you like taking care of yourself, as so many people do! Thank you. There is a wicker basket which you may use to deposit towels or sheets you would like me to wash.

The SpaceThe space is more than just a bedroom - it is more like a suite. There is a lovely, first-floor bedroom with a double bed, sliding doors that lead outside, a small table in the room for when you want to dine privately, a walk-in closet (empty) with hangers and a bathroom directly off the bedroom. There is also a den or sitting room included (see photos) which is a pleasant place to spend some time outside your room in privacy. The kitchen is just on the other side of the gait that separates this area from the rest of the house (the gait is to keep the dogs out of your way, not to keep you in!) and you are welcome to make coffee, etc. I also make coffee for everyone first thing in the morning! When I moved in here my home was the only one in the area, and it still retains its rural atmosphere, but very upscale homes have been built near it. It is a lovely, private, safe neighborhood and I am a relaxed, welcoming hostess. Guest AccessYou will have access to your bedroom, sitting room and bathroom, as well as the laundry room. If I need to do laundry while you are here I will enter it via the garage. There is a door in the bedroom that leads directly outside, but you are more than welcome to come in the front door, too, so you can have as much or as little interaction with me as you prefer. Interaction with GuestsI am willing to be as much help as I can. I hope to get to know you, but I respect your privacy. Since I am a teacher I am on summer vacation and spend a lot of time outside working in the yard or getting together with friends. There will by many times when you are alone in the house. The NeighborhoodI live on a farm that, over the years, has been lined on one side by a housing development, so to the south it is suburban and in every other direction it is the country! The road I live on is a dead end, so it is a lovely, quiet and safe place to walk. Getting AroundThere is no public transportation near my house, but we have Uber service in our area. Other Things to Note*There is a wonderful bike trail about a mile from my house. *I have two dogs. Your dog is welcome, too! *You are also welcome to enjoy my large yard, and if you feel the urge to pull some weeds from the garden, well, don't stop yourself!! *I keep a walking path groomed that goes all the way to the back of my property. It is peaceful and is actually my favorite part of the property.

The SpaceThis would be a lovely place to have a small wedding or vow renewal. I am a licensed justice of the peace and can even perform the ceremony! My home is on 10 acres and used to be surrounded by other farms. Subdivisions have been built around me over the years, but I keep a 12'-wide walking path between my fields for the enjoyment of all of us. It is a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of life! Guest AccessYou will have the entire upstairs, except for one small bedroom, which is my room when I don't have guests upstairs. The space I am renting out consists of a 20' by 20' bedroom with skylights, a ceiling fan and a vaulted ceiling. There is a sitting room/study adjacent to it, and the bathroom will be next to your room/study area, and yours alone to use. Interaction with GuestsI realize that you are on vacation and not personally visiting me. I will respect your privacy, but I will also be available to answer questions. There may be other guests staying in the first-floor area, which is why kitchen use and common space is somewhat limited. But I want you to relax - things aren't perfect (this is a working farm), so you don't have to be, either! Be comfortable - everyone else is!! The NeighborhoodMy little farm is the first farm when the subdivisions stop. It is a little bit country and a little bit city, which offers both serenity and convenience. Getting AroundThere is no public transportation near me, but there are restaurants and stores within a 2-mile walk. Other Things to NoteThe house is on a dead-end road, which makes the location very quiet and far away from traffic. There is an unobstructed view of both the sunrise and the sunset, and a hammock hanging between two trees out in the yard! As noted above, it would be a lovely setting for a small wedding or vow renewal!

The SpaceThe space includes a first-floor bedroom with a door going directly to the outside, a sitting room/music room with a private bathroom. The bedroom is air conditioned and has a ceiling fan, as well as a corner sink. The bed, I am told, is very comfortable, the sheets are extremely soft, there are plenty of pillows and the area is usually quiet. Guest AccessIf you need to do laundry or would like to do some light cooking, please talk to me about it. Interaction with GuestsMy guests are also my customers, and as such I respect their desire for either privacy or interaction. You can stay here and basically never see me, or have a chat over coffee - this is your vacation! I will stay out of your room unless you would like me to collect your towels for washing or make your bed. I ask each guest for a list of the services they would like to have. The NeighborhoodI used to be the only place in the area, but over the years subdivisions have been put up along the long south side of my property, which takes away a little from the country feeling. But the view of the sunrise and sunset is unobstructed and beautiful! I love to sit out front in the morning, read the paper, drink some coffee and watch the sun come up over the hill that is across the street. And the street is VERY quiet - we run to the window to see who it is if a car goes by!! It is a dead-end road, and there are only two other homes on it. Getting AroundThere is no public transportation out where I live, but we do have Uber service. Other Things to NoteThere is a dog gait that separates your area from the rest of the downstairs. It is meant to keep the dogs out of your area - please don't feel fenced in! The door that leads to the outside from your room prevents you from having to interact with the dogs, but you are more than welcome to use the front door! There is a patio outside your room with lawn chairs for you to use. It's a great, private place to tan!!

The SpaceThis is a couch in the living room. We rarely use the living room as we tend to be working or studying in one of the bedrooms unless we're in the kitchen cooking or eating. There is a half bathroom downstairs off the living room and a full bathroom upstairs by the bedrooms. There is a private deck off the kitchen. Please keep in mind this IS a smoking home. There is a 48" smart TV with DVR in the room as well as extra cables should you like to hook your laptop up to it. Guest AccessYou're welcome to all parts of our home aside from our personal bedrooms. You're welcome to use the washer and dryer as well as hygiene needs such as toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I make breakfasts according to the time needed by those staying here. Breakfast can be anything from pancakes or waffles to omelets, eggs any style, hash browns, sausage, bacon, beef bacon (this is both a Christian and Muslim home but we do not expect others to go with our dietary restrictions and I do buy and serve pork to to those who want it). We try to eat dinner together as often as possible as we all enjoy learning about different cultures and enjoy each others company. Currently those of us here are from 3 different countries. Currently those here are 1 American, 1 from Saudi Arabia, and 1 from Nigeria. There are fruits and fresh baked breads on the kitchen table you're welcome to at any time. There are a number of different types of teas and coffees as well as ingredients to use with the Ninja coffee bar you are also welcome to use at any time. Interaction with GuestsI work from home but am happy to help you with finding whatever places you may need or want to go while you're here. I am usually available for whatever you may need help finding in our home. We are not only of different religions, countries, and races but also different age groups. Whatever your interests are 1 of us should have some suggestions for you for things to do in the area. We are all sociable people and enjoy each other's company but also understand leaving someone with peace and quiet with time to themselves. We cut off those of us in the bedrooms from using the kitchen at 10 PM in order to respect who is on the couch. If you have an early day and need us to cut off our kitchen use before then please just let us know. We are all respectful and courteous of each other. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is very quiet. There isn't much within walking distance but there are some nice restaurants, bars, and a grocery close enough for a cheap trip via uber or lyft if you do not have a car. Getting AroundBuses do not run often here so it's not realistic for those who need to use the city bus. There are both Uber and Lyft services as well as a couple of neighbors who myself and the Saudi students have used for transportation most of the time. Other Things to NoteThis is a home with a couple of very different culture and ages. Please be respectful of that. Again, this IS a home where people DO smoke inside and there IS also a small dog here. In staying here it is important to be accepting of other races, cultures, and religions. We are respectful of ALL.
