The SpaceOur budget option for a rural farm stay experience. But don't worry it's still comfortable and has everything you could possibly need for a self contained stay. You can relax in your rural surrounds or get out and enjoy our region. We are centrally located to the popular tourist regions of Bright, Beechworth and the King Valley so you'll get to choose where you want to spent each day. Guest AccessThis property is only available from April to December. While we do our best to provide you with a safe environment for your stay, this is also a working farm and therefore some elements of risk do exist. Children should be supervised while outside, stay out of sheds and not use farm machinery as play equipment/areas. Interaction with GuestsOur farmstay is what is known as an unhosted farmstay, meaning we don't have organised daily activites. We are happy however to spend time with you feeding the chickens, alpacas and sheep. As we often have to work away from the property we recommend organising a time we can do this with you. Of course we are also happy to just have a chat about the farm, or what you might like to do while you stay in the area. We live on the property, so you are welcome to come to the house if there is anything you need. The NeighborhoodOvens may be a small hamlet, but there is plenty around if you know where to look. The local pub (4km) is family friendly and serves standard pub meals with a bit of a modern touch. For a pleasant surprise stop in at the pumpkin seed factory, or visit the lavender farm or a winery down the Happy Valley Road. Heading towards Bright you can find a yummy treat at the berry farm (8km) or feed the all of the cute animals at the deer and emu farm. Amazing views from the deck there too - a perfect spot to enjoy a drink or meal! Getting AroundBeing a rural area, public transport is limited so a car is recommended. There is a local taxi service available. For the fit and energetic you could just bring your bicycle and you will find plenty of interesting places to ride in this cycling mecca. The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail means that you don't even have to ride on the road in most cases. Other Things to NoteThis property and Cottage 1 are only available April - December. We offer a 5% discount if you wish to book both cottages for a group booking. Please contact us for further information on these.

The SpaceRelax in your rural surrounds or get out and enjoy our region. We are centrally located to the popular tourist regions of Bright, Beechworth and the King Valley so you'll get to choose where you want to spent each day. The cottage has bush views from the rear and views of Mt Buffalo from the deck. There are often chicken free ranging about the cottages and we have sheep and alpacas roaming in the paddocks. We will happily spend time with you feeding the animals or with a walk in the bush. The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail can be accessed a few hundred metres down the road in either direction. Direct access is also available following the lane through the paddock directly opposite the front gate. The cattle may be curious and follow, but are harmless and will be shooed away easily. See the Rail Trail brochure for further information. Guest AccessThis property is only available from April to December. While we do our best to provide you with a safe environment for your stay, this is also a working farm and therefore some elements of risk do exist. Children should be supervised while outside, stay out of sheds and not use farm machinery as play equipment/areas. Interaction with GuestsWe will endeavour to greet you on arrival however we both also have jobs away from the property and this is not always possible. We will provide the check in details once your booking is confirmed. We want our guests to feel comfortable in their surrounds. If you enjoy a chat and want to find out more about the farm and the surrounding area we will gladly have a chat. If it's privacy you want then we don't need to interact much. Please don't be shy if you have any questions! The NeighborhoodOvens may be a small hamlet, but there is plenty around if you know where to look. The local pub (4km) is family friendly and serves hearty pub meals with a bit of a middle eastern touch. Other Things to NoteA waste bin is located near the front gate for all general waste. In an effort to help minimize our impact on the environment, we support recycling where possible. Please leave recyclable items (see below) in the box provided outside, which can be later transferred to the collection bin. We can also use your fruit & vegetable scraps in our compost heap or equally the sheep love them! Set these aside if you wish to contribute, or throw your scraps into the paddock with the sheep. Please do not leave scraps lying around for the chickens as they are usually not finished and it just creates a mess for the next guests.
